Surgery was surprisingly quick and pain free. I’m in the process of recovery. Everything was well explained and I feel I am in the best hands to recover fully. I achieved 30/20 vision having had my eyes tested on day 2 after the surgery. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Glad the glasses are gone forever.

I Had my laser eye surgery done in the Dublin Clinic just a little over a week ago. The process from the very beginning was nothing short of amazing! The staff on the reception always greeted you with a smile and made you feel so at ease with everything! I had my consultation with Claire, she was amazing! She made me feel so comfortable throughout the process of seeing if I was eligible for the procedure and made sure all my questions were answered fully! On the day the of the procedure I had Victoria by my side the whole time to make sure I was relaxed and at ease before my surgery, Which I wouldn't of been able to do without, even held my hand throughout the procedure which was really comforting! The surgeon on the day was Alex he was super friendly and helpful with any last minute questions I might have , the staff in the theatre were amazing too as they make sure to let you know what is going on every step of the way so you're never caught off guard by anything! Victoria went through my after care with me and explained in great detail everything I needed to know! By the time it came to my 24 hour check up my vision was already 20:20! I had my checkup with Kevin who was so nice and friendly. As someone who has been wearing glasses for almost 10 years I couldn't recommend this enough! no more steamed up glasses for me!

The best decision I ever made - life changing! Would highly recommend. They really put you at ease and make you feel comfortable during the surgery. I have given 4 instead of 5 star for 2 reasons - every appointment / consultation was with a different optometrist (I have met 5 different ones during my visits to date). During my first consultation I spoke with the optometrist about my lifestyle and hobbies/sports that I played and she recommended the LASIK surgery. However on the day of surgery while I was waiting to go into the surgery room the surgeon read my file and said I should have been getting PRK because I played sports. This was frustrating as there is quite a difference in recovery time for this surgery and I was not prepared to take the following 5 days off work!

I wore glasses since I was a child. After 25 years of blurry vision, I decided to get laser eye surgery (I was -5 in both eyes, very shortsighted). The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. Yes there are risks associated with any form of surgery, and these are very clearly set out in writing beforehand. Optilase take their informed consent seriously. For me it was the right choice. My vision is now excellent. The initial discomfort and cost was definitely worth it for me. Sometimes my eyes feel a little dry but no pain. It's actually a quick procedure in the end, you lie down and the surgeons talk you through things. You don't really feel anything as they numb your eyes and all you see is some lights. The effects were instantly noticeable. I would highly recommend Optilase for their before and after care.

The team provides you with a post operation kit which includes all the information and items you need to have full recovery. The check ups post operation are very timely and helpful. Had laser eye surgery with Optilase Clinic in April. Everything was well organised and professional. I even got €100 off my surgery when a friend recommended me. Everything was quick and painless. (I was literally 12 minutes in the chair and it was over). The doctors and nurses during the surgery were very supportive and caring. I honestly could have driven my car the next morning without glasses. I couldn't recommend Optilase Clinic enough!

My experience with Optilase was a really positive one. From my first consultation I was put at ease. The surgery itself took no more than 10 minutes and it is definitely something I would recommend to anyone to do. The team explained the full procedure and process to me and made me feel relaxed. My only regret was not getting it done sooner!

Overall I would recommend Optilase to anyone looking to get laser eye surgery. The consultants and assistants are all very professional and helpful. The surgery is super quick, over and done with before you know it. The post op check ups are great and make you feel looked after even after the surgery. Absolutely 100% worth it. However, the recovery was worse than I was expecting, two days of pain rather than just being uncomfortable, but this would differ person to person. I was also nearly put off getting the surgery by the surgeon right before I went into theatre, the list of things that could go wrong either immediately or down the line terrified me. I was told weeks before my surgery that my dry eye was gone but on the day of the surgery the surgeon said I had dry eye and this could get significantly worse if I got the surgery and really impact my life. €200 worth of gels I would need every month if I developed chronic dry eye. I had already paid the €4,000 for the surgery and I really wanted it so I took the risk, just wish I had been told some of this information before the day of the surgery. The surgeon also left it up to me as to whether I got Lasik or PRK, I don’t think something like that should be left up to the patient to make the decision on, that is the surgeon’s job. Overall I would recommend but just be sure to ask all the questions and know all the risks before the day of the surgery so that it doesn’t completely freak you out!

Done Lasek (3 times) with Dr Smiths back in 2010 to correct a minor myopia. - Result lasted for about 3 years after which I regressed back to my initial level (about -1.25 per eye) - Now the problem i am facing (beside having to wear glasses again) is eye unconfort at night. Beside, whenever I need to were contact lenses, this has be a ones with special curve has the laser deformed the the cornea - So be aware that not all cases are successful -

The surgery was so quick and the team were so friendly. They made me very relaxed and at ease throughout the couple of minutes it takes! I was given plenty of time for questions before and after. I was extremely nervous before having the procedure done and from my first visit to my most recent, every member of the team that I have dealt with has been really lovely and helpful. I can absolutely say this is the best decision I ever had. The eye laser surgery experience was quick, efficient and after 2 days rest I can see everything so clearly with 20/20 vision. It's like having a new set of eyes. It was remarkable! Am just purely delighted! I went for the LASIK treatment because it has good recovery times and indeed it was. Staff were amazing as well, they are making sure you are comfortable and relaxed. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who had specs their whole life to try it.

The staff were excellent at explaining everything to me. Many thorough checks were done to make sure I was eligible and to make sure the surgery would be as accurate as possible to get the best results possible. Really reassuring when I was nervous beforehand. The surgery itself only took a few minutes and although I was scared I was kept very calm. Can’t recommend highly enough and if I ever need reading glasses I would more than happily go back. Has changed my life and the service was excellent.

Exceptionally happy with my "new" eyes. Wish I'd gone in for the Op years ago. The team @Optilase were fab in the run up to the surgery - really supportive, encouraging and knowledgeable. The gentleman performing the surgery was very efficient and did a great job but also very clinical in manner. Didn't want my hand held but a bit of empathy when getting you eye ball clamped wouldn't go amiss. Overall highly recommend this procedure and this particular clinic to everyone. 10 minute procedure with life changing results! Do it!

I am one week into life with my "new" eyes and it feels amazing. Laser surgery is always something I wanted to do and just didn't realise how easy it would be. From the moment I arranged the free consultation it was hassle free right down to every detail and even during Covid restrictions. The procedure was so much easier than I expected and after a few hours sleep I was feeling great and able to see. The next morning however was the icing on the cake and at my follow up appointment they confirmed I had better than 20/20 vision. A dream come through 🥰
