I've
been
a
member
of
the
gym
for
4.5
years.
It
has
been
the
best
money
I've
ever
spent
and
has
likely
had
the
biggest
impact
on
getting
my
life
where
I
want
it
to
be.
Here's
an
email
I
wrote
to
the
owner
back
when
covid
started,
and
the
gym
had
to
close
temporarily.
I'm
still
a
happy
member
and
working
towards
my
next
goal
(a
5-day
mountain
biking
endurance
race
at
the
end
of
Sept
2021)
Hi
Dave,
Initially
when
I
joined
SDSC,
I
just
wanted
to
stop
my
brain
at
8pm.
(Running
a
business
and
doing
a
part
time
masters
in
the
evenings
took
its
toll).
I
wanted
to
decompress
and
do
something
mildly
physical
without
adding
any
pressure.
I
told
you
that,
you
came
up
with
a
plan,
I
did
it
and
it
worked.
Then
I
wanted
to
get
a
little
conditioning
up
so
my
migraines
wouldn't
be
triggered
so
frequently
when
my
heart
rate
elevated
(which
happened
all
the
time;
sometimes
hospitalised
because
of
the
severity).
Again,
I
told
you
that,
you
came
up
with
a
plan,
I
did
it
and
it
worked.
Then
I
wanted
to
get
back
on
my
mountain
bike
and
ride
with
the
big
boys.
I
told
you
that,
you
came
up
with
a
plan,
I
did
it
and
it
worked.
Then
I
wanted
to
race.
I
told
you
that,
you
came
up
with
a
plan,
I
did
it
and
it
worked.
I
came
3rd
in
my
first
ever
race.
And
last
season
I
won
a
national
series!
Then
I
wanted
to
drop
some
fat
and
build
some
strength.
I
told
you
that,
you
came
up
with
a
plan,
I
did
it
and
it
worked.
I'm
a
pretty
proactive
person,
but
I
come
to
the
gym
because
for
an
hour
or
two
a
day
I
don't
want
to
be
proactive.
I
don't
want
to
have
to
motivate
myself,
I
don't
want
to
have
a
plan
and
execute
that
plan
and
figure
out
what
will
get
me
to
my
goals.
But
I
do
want
to
reach
my
goals,
and
your
coaching
gets
me
there.
All
that
isn't
as
easy
as
it
looks
on
paper,
but
I
know
if
I
show
up
and
get
support
from
someone
who
actually
knows
what
they're
on
about
and
cares
about
who's
listening,
then
I'll
achieve
whatever
is
next
on
my
list....
and
have
a
nice
time
doing
it.
Covid
bullsh*t
isn't
gonna
impact
that.
