Called 6 times and no one answered. I drove out to be told I can't view the gym facilities because no one is free. Also no pay as you go until weekends despite being a Dublin City Council run gym. To top it all off the pain clinic entourage will greet you at the door. Avoid.

EDIT after owners comment and after the 'refurbish': Basic gym with a sometimes 25m swimming pool. The gym has a set of everything, but for instance just 1 set of weights of each size, so if someone is using them, then you have to wait. Also, space is extremely tight and machines are too old. They """refurbished""" 2 weeks ago, which means that they added 10 new treadmill machines and 2 bicycles. Terrible job. Now there is less space for weights and the 2 bicycles have the electric sockets on the floor, beside them, so it won't be long until some sweating goes in. Still not enough mirrors, old and ripped machines... Check the photos to see it by yourself. They have around 4 hours per day of 25 metres (over the weekends is less hours) pool and the rest of the time is basically for kids and leisure. There is a wall that elevates and then it divides the pool in 2. The facilities are basic and they don't provide shampoo, towels or anything. Do not expect any of that. The sauna is good enough.

Great gym and most staff are friendly and helpful the only issues I would have is some members can be quite selfish and stay to long on machines at peak times which can be really frustrating. A simple sign asking members to be mindful of others wanting to use the machines or putting a limit at peak times would solve this . Also the Spinning bikes are placed to close together which makes it difficult to stretch and cool down afterwards. And unfortunately two great instructors have left.Another down point is having to pass by the pool to get to the gym this could be avoided if the backdoor was constantly left open and the desk had some on it to let you in and out

The people in reception are very rude and will not allow non-members to pay on the day for the swimming pool. You have to be paying €300 a year membership to avail of their dirty facilities. Take your business elsewhere or go swim in the sea for free instead of visiting this place.

Yes this Gym is not massive. But I think it's perfect for what it offers for a Community Gym.. Its good Value for Money . I joined the gym for my Mental Health to have space and have time for myself. I find the classes very good.,especially like the Sunday Morning Spin. Instructors are very friendly and make the class fun. They always encourage you to go at your own pace which I like. Nice friendly atmosphere around Gym. Would recommend this Gym . Thank you 😊

Went today for the first time! Really pleasantly surprised by the facilities! Lovely sauna and steam room! Nice pool, was very loud and busy around 1 when I attended would go again either early morning or evening. Best value for money leisure centre I’ve visited and I’ve been to a few!

One of the best leisure in Dublin, I loved to go to swim and the timetables were very good, almost all day I found times to go, I like the division in levels in the swimming pool, we can go slow or fast.

Very disjointed, disorganised and needs staff that care about the place. Swimming lanes are all over the place and staff do not manage this well. Smell of urine is not pleasant and the toilets need some lovin'. Seems like year after year it gets worse.

The best of my day was waking up knowing that I was going to spend my afternoon at Swan! The staff was so friendly and kind, that I’m still missing them! Specially, Leo and Phill, who were my coaches, and Alba, who was my zumba teacher! I had NEVER been member of a gym until I joined Swan, and I loved it! Every class I took was so funny and challenging at the same time... just FANTASTIC!

Good gym, I think there's good value for money. As people said there's only one machine type, so if someone is using it then you will wait (except running and cycling machines). I tend to go before work and on weekends and it's not too busy. The trainers have always been helpful, with free programs. My only critical feedback would be that machines which are broken are fixed after a week or two, but still a better gym that most other ones at that price range

The family schedule that they have on the page says until 6 in the afternoon but it is the 4th time that I go with my daughter the first two times on the weekend and very well but the lady who attends during the week the first time told me that Family hours were until 6 and now I return at 5:15 because my baby is 7 months old and we don't need more than half an hour and he tells me no that family hours are until 5. Maybe it's not a problem with the girl who attends and they must specify on the page that their hours are different every day so as not to waste our time and that they treat us in a bad way.

Bad gym, really small so it gets crowded easily. Not enough equipment nor mirrors, internet is bad and showers aren’t good enough. Terrible experience using the website, if you want to join online still have to go to the front desk to do the process again. Really frustrating. Made a mistake joining them, I went for another gym with much more space and better equipment. Good luck to current members. It wasn’t for me, it might be good for other people :)

It's a small gym, but the pool is great for leisure swimming and bringing kids to play. However, I'm giving only 2 stars because it is absolutely atrocious that no one ever answers the phone. I have called at different times of the day, I've tried calling more than one time in a row, I've called on different days. No one has ever answered. Why have a phone at all if you're just going to ignore it? So incredibly lazy. I went in-person to sign up for a course, and complained that no one answers the phones, and they told me they're "too busy to answer" in the early mornings, but after 10am they should be free to answer. But that morning, I had tried 4 times between 10 and 11am and no one answered. If they don't want to be bothered with answering the phone, they shouldn't have their number on their website. I've been a member of multiple other gyms over the course of my life and have never experienced this before.

Cancelled my membership here as the busy environment didn't suit me. Swan Leisure continued to take payments months later. My contract required 30 days notice and they tried to claim 60 days by presenting a blank contract with 60 days notice written on it. Very sketchy business practice. The response on this review is false information. They tried to claim 60 days notice but did not respond to my email when I called them out on it.

We booked/rented, payed in advance to use the hall upstairs, from 7pm to 9:45pm. At 9:30pm someone, extremely rude, come and tell us to leave. Some of the guys said we had paid to stay till 9:45pm, he asked the name of my friend and called the fella to “talk outside”. What a level of organization and professionalism.

Visit weekly for my kids swimming lessons. Its quiet big center with good facilities. Well maintained and clean. Paid roadside parking but availability is rare on busy day.

After the organization worried about giving two stars to the establishment. (which I am glad to know that you want to know why) I explain why: I have been a client of your GYM for more than 1 long year adding up all the time. The people who work with you are lovely, people at the reception, etc. Above all, I have to admit that I loved working with Lukas. My problem is not with the staff, it is rather with the establishment. To begin with it is very small. When I went to do my training, it took almost 30 minutes longer just waiting for machines or trying to adapt my training to the space, not to mention that there are people who take a machine and don't let go. Even the stools to make dumbbells there are people that I have seen who are between 2 machines, but who leave their things on the stools so that they do not take it away. thus increasing the time. In times of Covid, you opened the gym space and moved machines to the multipurpose track that you have upstairs. and it was the best thing you did. I FINALLY had room to exercise and not feel trapped. I had space to do floor exercises and also some machines that I could adapt to what I was doing. Regarding the machines I think you could put some more, or at least have some repeated for when they are taken by other customers. Try once to do some water aerobics in the pool and it's impossible. in the pool or you go to swim or to swim you have no other choice, you feel that you bother the other customers. It wouldn't hurt to have at least 1 lane of space to walk around, or practice those low-impact moves in the water. My disappointment is that I want a gym and you are right in front of my house, and due to lack of space in this one I have to go to others further away. If one day you do like when the Covid season and you have more space it would be a pleasure to come back with you again. Sorry for the long note but that's how I explain everything in more detail. kind regards

Joined yesterday and boy do I regret it. No proper weights and very few machines to work on legs, no staff to help. My induction was scheduled yesterday and there's no one here and it's not in the system. However, there's no better choice considering they have a heated pool. Gyms in Dublin overcharge and underdeliver

I have been working out in Swan Leisure since 2018 I always love yoga and it’s a great class you can find there and I hope they will keep it 😃 I also have been doing both individual and barre pilates class with Jitka for a year and I am really happy with her professional approach and dedication to improving my health and fitness. Probably the best investment I’ve ever made! She also send me nutritional advice and recipes as I am vegetarian. The nutrition part for me was the key, because it’s very important to me in regards to obtain the results that I want ( lose weight - belly fat and muscle tone) She is an excellent motivator. I’m not a gym bunny and she knows how to get the most out of me, to push me in exactly the right direction beyond what I think I can do. As a result I feel fitter and stronger. Thanks so much for always show the correct techniques whether it's lifting weights or stretching or barre pilates class. I felt confident in her ability & experience as a trainer. I can't recommend Jitka highly enough. If you're considering personal training, Jitka should be top of your list! Also if you love pilates she is the best 💪🏻 Sauna and swimming pool went few times. Very small sauna and steam room and lots of people. Would love to use more if it was not crowded every time I went, maybe unlucky. Toilets and change room upstairs most of time clean. I use to get a nice message on my phone and a small gift for my birthday 🥳 they don’t do it anymore 🥹

I am trying to contact them for two months, I tried to pass my membership to a friend (filled up the form, we both signed and handed it to them), and he still can't access, and I am still being billed. Two months. And I can't contact them.

Absolute scam. Stay away. Took payment for 1 year membership. Was unable to attend since covid due to relocation. Have told them to freeze account until I return which was supposed to happen after a few months. Or at least give a refund. Did not help with either. Shame!

I only came to the pool. If you know how and like to swim, I do not recommend this place. The pool is small and not deep, it seems to be for children, there are a lot of people, even late on a Monday evening. There is no administrator or coach to separate the swimming lanes. Some swim aggressively and wave their arms, I swim calmly, all the lanes were occupied by men who swim aggressively. It shouldn't be like this because everyone pays money. You should separate the lanes and allocate one for those who swim calmly.

Very good service . I booked my kids with them for ducklings swimming sessions . My two sons were floating and swimming from the third session . Was so delighted 😀. Geraldine and her assistants were brilliant instructors . Thanks to all of you guys. Highly recommended👌

😠 Facilities are good. But reception ladies are just rude. After joining membership one year and half, I found it’s better not to ask anything at the reception (booking classes was fine)because you’ll never get answers or help from them.
