Everywhere you go you just see broken equipment in the gym.The jacuzzi was broken for 3 months at one point.Everytime I asked why they said the parts were on the way. They must have been coming on a wooden raft from China. There was also some strange behaviour outside the gym.The lockers in the changing rooms for the pool had a sign on them saying out of order for a while too. My final thoughts on the place are that I have never been to a stranger place in my life.

DCU Gym is operating in very lazy since post lockdown, the gym doesn't open until 7 am, it is closed on Sundays and on the Bank Holidays. They are charging the full membership while providing half of the service. All other gyms are open from 6 am until 10 pm, they are also operating on Sundays & Bank Holidays. COVID is not an excuse.

It’a a nice gym except for the fact that some important machines are not there, like the pulley machine and the lat machine. On the other hand, I found the staff (not all of them) rude and aggressive. Finally, it’s absolutely freezing in the gym since all the windows are always open when it would be enough to keep one or two open.

We were here with Livingston Handball Club to take part in the Celtic Cup qualifying tournament. Excellent venue with great staff and a very well run event by the Irish Olympic Handball Association.

While I did not use the facilities since i was attending a conference, the DCU Sports Complex was modern, clean and very active. Coffee shop in the lobby and staff are very polite and helpful.

Really large, well equipped weights room. Plenty of cardio machines - cardio room needs aircon, the low ceiling makes it very warm. Lovely helpful staff.

You can get your full body workout here no matter what your sport. It can be very busy at the normal peak times but if you can go off peak its easy to hop from one machine to another. The freeweights gym is quite big and and has a variety of weights and machines. The selection of threadmills bikes and cross trainers is quite big and they also run a variety of classes which can be booked online once you have signed up and logged into your account. You can then cool off in the 25m pool with sauna and steam roon and jacuzzi aswell. After your workout is completed wind down with a coffee/juice in the coffee shop in foyer. Go on get down there and try it yourself. All this takes place under the watchful eyes of the qualified instructors.

Awesome place to have all the excercise, gym, swimming and physical activities. You can also have a coffee in Starbucks.

I had cancellation on the rentable astros. I was told the card machine wasn’t working and my refund could be done over the phone the next week. Phoned the next week, no knowledge of my refund or no card machine. Told to try again at a later date. Was told by a manager ‘I’ll make it my mission to see your refund is processed.” The following week no refund called again, and no knowledge of a refund due. Never received my money back. Facility’s are good quality. Just my experience hasn’t been the nicest.

A great Facility. However, getting something from the tuckshop is an ordeal. The maps give wrong directions as the road it insists on taking you down you need an access key. I expected better from a university. A little disappointing

Best to have all the facility in Dublin. Dublin City University have provided one of the good facility to perform all the activities in place.

😠 Called 6 times and no one answered. I drove out to be told I can't view the gym facilities because no one is free. Also no pay as you go until weekends despite being a Dublin City Council run gym. To top it all off the pain clinic entourage will greet you at the door. Avoid.

😠 Facilities are good. But reception ladies are just rude. After joining membership one year and half, I found it’s better not to ask anything at the reception (booking classes was fine)because you’ll never get answers or help from them.
