Too good to be true!? Probably is so. Great terrace, river views, perfect place for a sunny Sunday brunch. Yet, below average service, average food, higher prices than overall experience offered. Just enjoy the views and don't get nervous :) we actually left, as the food refused to come today. Update July 2020. :) Nothing changed, just everything run down even more :) same old tables, service slow and below average. Yet beautiful views on a summer evening. Upgraded to 2-star 😂

Worst service and worst food : We ordered two different type of food and soft drinks ,The Cola was without Gas and old . We ordered Schnitzel with fries and salad the schnitzel was cold believe it or not !!! The salad was full of sauce without taste at all . Another meal we ordered sauerbraten with Rotkohl the meat was ok not hot but warm but the Rotkohl was not eatable….. I asked the waitress gently to change the Cola and she left and ignored me totally!!!!!! We paid 42€ it was totally for waste of money and not worth it all . My advice is find some another better restaurant with better service and better food .

Such a cool spot on the river. Plenty of space in the beer garden and a great little park to keep the kids entertained Update! Eaten at the Alte Rheinfähre multiple times now and every time the food has been yummy! Service was great and staff were very friendly

visit Tuesday early afternoon, and it was very busy. The server was very unfriendly and in huge hurry for some reason. We decided not to eat, had some lukewarm beverages, and left.

Absolutely horrible waiting time of 1,5 hrs for a glass of wine and beer, that was on top of that alcohol free, which was not our order. The waiters were so overwhelmed with the amount of work, that they didn't have any time to pay attention to any of the guests. Nice location otherwise, but under these conditions bot worth the wait and money.

The food is good and location is great. However, the waiter we had was FORCING to pay extra tips (even after you have stated the amount). Rather unpleasant experience. Overall 2 stars

Great location, but unfortunately nothing else lives up to the nice view. The staff were extremely stressed and the management should really be ashamed that their waiters work under these conditions; there was not enough waiters at all. We ordered drinks and two curry wurst. The drinks took half an hour to come, but we had to cancel the food order after waiting almost an hour. Yes, one hour to make curry wurst! Will never go here again!

Good restaurant with a view on the Rhein and the Ferry. Good food for a decent price. Could be busy during peak hours, so take your time to enjoy the place.

Nice setting near the ferry. Food came very quickly Weiner Schnitzel was a little dry. Beer was cold and good. Service very good.

This place is perfect for different needs. You can enjoy the sun with some cake and coffee while your little one is playing on their playground or have a light lunch or dinner. It has lots of space so you can go with a group or just yourself. We went with our daughter and she was very happy so we had a nice lunch.

The knuckle was really good. Love the potatoes.
