Flamborough Head Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located at Flamborough, East Riding of Yorkshire. The current lighthouse was built in 1806 and acts as a waypoint for deep sea vessels and coastal traffic as well as marking the Flamborough Headland for vessels heading for the ports of Scarborough and Bridlington. A pay and display car park is situated next to the lighthouse and have abundant parking space. If possible try and get a tour of lighthouse to understand the full history. For family of 4 its 17.2£ but totally worth it. we were given a very interesting informative tour by a lovely lady who knew all about lighthouses. Lighthouse is open till 3.30 on weekends so be there on time. Lovely 5 minute stroll from the lighthouse and you can to see a seal colony chilling on the beach near drinking dinosaur. The views on Flamborough Head are quite spectacular. Great place for a walk along the cliffs to see Puffins and other sea birds without the crush of all the birdwatchers A must visit.

Lots of steps down to the beach, caves and rock pools but worth it. Walk along the cliff tops and look down at the seals , pn the right hand side. Saw dolphins or porpoises too, in a group of about 6. Cafe, bat, shop and paid parking.

Lovely little place. Great sea views, you can go down a very steep staircase and path to get to the beach cov. Beach was covered in seaweed. Lovely little shop with all sorts in it. Nice little restaurant here too but we didn't go in. Had a nice walk an a look at 2 pillboxes from a war. Great place if you want some peace or like to walk. ♥️

Stunning area, you could easily spend the day here looking at the lighthouse, walking the cliffs and going down to the bay to look for seals. Access to the beach is easy via steep steps and I guarantee you will see some seals! We saw so many. There is parking near the lighthouse and two cafes and toilets near the car park. It's a pay and display car park.

It is what it is with a good size car park, toilets and cafe. Extensive walks but many of the foot paths are so well trodden that they are mud, ands slick. Make sure you have suitable footwear!! Always consider the weather and remember to call the Coastguard in an emergency as they are better suited to attend in this area!

The lighthouse is nice and looks awesome in black and white photos. The whole area is stunning but being a wheelchair user I couldn't see any of it. But there are many videos online where you can see the area. We didn't go in the cafe as it was really busy and all outside tables were full ( it was a warm sunny day and we wanted to sit outside ) There is a charge to park, which includes vehicles with a blue badge, which I didn't think fair as if you have a badge you will be limited to the cafe, the little shop and the car park, while everyone else gets to see the awesome views and you don't.

Visit to Flamborough Light House today and went on the tour, what a great experience learning about how the light house worked past and present. The guide was excellent and gave a great insight into this historical building, then out to the cliffs to take in the views and the seal colony, highly recommended if you are in the area.

👍👍 It's a great little place to take the family. You could easily get around the place in a short time but, they have a lot of free roaming animals for you to look out for to really make the best of your time there. It replicates a jungle with a warm, humid atmosphere. If the heat gets to you, you are...

👍 Nice and quiet beach, next to farm land so you'll get a strong smell of cow and horse manure but you soon get over it and you won't notice it if you go close to the water. Car parking is free but it's small, so you may struggle to park but you can park on the side or the main road and walk to the be...
