One of the best places Nile view is amazing Staff very friendly

We went there while staying at Sofitel, it was walking distance. Atmosphere is amazing, we immediately head for the upstairs outdoor seating area. On the way we see this amazing oven where they make fresh bread, and we were excited to order pigeon. We were told that is a delicatessen in Cairo and we should try it. The view of the Nile river and the city is beautiful. There is a stage and when starts getting dark they had some live music. We ordered quickly. The restaurant started getting busier. It looked understaffed. It took quite a while for our food to be served. The food was delicious We had grilled pigeon and also lamb. Presentation of the food was amazing. What really ruined the whole experience was waiting for everything for a very long time or to even get the attention of a server. Paying the bill was also a very long ordeal. But we enjoyed seating in this beautiful restaurant and the views of the city.

Really cool view on the Nile and the best Egyptian restaurant we found in Cairo. Starters (Mezzeh) are cheap and excellent (get the mix, 5 excellent starts for 10€, see my pictures). Do not hesitate to ASK for more details if you see something intriguing on the menu so you don't end up with something different from what you thought (food and portion). Live music can be a little too loud sometimes, but it's good and local. Customers are also a mix of tourists, locals, and couples. People may smoke, but I didn't get uncomfortable with it. Honestly? Cheap, good, local, great view, great combo. Aw and you may spot some bats flying around when you leave the restaurant at night and that's sweet too!

Nevertheless I can only give one star as the service was horrible, It took so long time to have the dish delivered on the table, and the waitress made more than three mistakes to deliver the wrong dishes. We have ordered several glasses of wine but no one could bring us the right bottle that we have asked for. For a restaurant in a five-star hotel, we were disappointed.

I love this restaurant absolutely; the bread is hand made and baked in stone oven in the place which makes it wonderful for the taste is very good. The food is very good, definitively it is one of the best options in Cairo; you can have a beers or other good drinks and it is also possible to have meals outdoors just next to the Nile river allowing you to enjoy an excellent dinner while beholding a beautiful view of the great Nile. Absolutely recommendable.

Excellent location on the Nile river in Cairo. We had meza appetizers, delicious chicken livers, pigeon cream soup , grilled Pita stuffed with meat , okra stew, mixed grill and rice. I had lime with mint juice which was so refreshing. The service is excellent but slow.

Great restaurant, you can take in the beautiful Nile river while enjoying great food. We liked it so much we went there twice. The bread is freshly baked (you can actually see the woman making it while entering the restaurant) and it goes straight from the oven into a basket and onto your table (still steams when you rip it!). The dishes are amazing and the waiters so nice. Amazing servics. In the background they play plesent relaxing local music (which is such a welcoming contrast to the "techno" pumping loud from the cruise ships on the Nile. We even had a band play some beautiful calm acoustic music. Loved it and highly recommend!

Let me start from the location of the restaurant, which was really impressive. The venue is at the edge of Zamalek island and you can enjoy the lovely view of the Nile and Cairo. The food was OK, but really not something extraordinary. It is definitely a very safe choice in dietary terms. I would like to highlight, though, the amazing handmade bread made by the ladies at the entrance, as well as the superb humus we tasted.

We ordered shish tawook and it was super delicious. The only drawback is that their salad was so small that it wasn't a salad at all but more of an appetizer and I'm so much of a salad person. I was shocked of few things .. the view is not all beautiful .. there is garbage in the nile right in front of the tables .. the food was not good as well .. limited variety of grilled plates .. the chicken was very good but the only option if you don’t eat lamb 😔 the rest of the menu is terrible .. the khalta rice was not good, the sausage was awful, extremely expensive and average service .. it was much better years ago 😔

My wife and I enjoyed a most pleasant dinner at Kebabgy. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. We are both vegetarians and there were plenty of options for us. The portions are very generous and a couple of mezze are more than enough for a meal. The view and atmosphere are unbeatable. Many reviews mention the prices, and while on the high side, this is a five star hotel restaurant with a ten star setting. The prices are commensurate and by no means outrageous. All in all, you get your money's worth and more.

The experience at Kebabgy was one I won’t forget for all of the right reasons: 1) incredibly good food, 2) beautiful live music, 3) a breathtaking setting on the Nile, 4) attentive wait staff, 5) and the beautiful, friendly hostess, Alaa! It was a great experience. I highly recommend it.

Can’t recommend Kebabgy enough! The most magnificent views of the Nile, impeccable service and wonderful food. We were able to eat breakfast and dinner here and loved both meals. The service was exceptional, every person took wonderful care of us! Our waiter at dinner, Moustafa, recommended the beef tajine for dinner and it was one of our favorite dishes we have had in Egypt.

Walking here from the Sofitel takes you down a beautiful garden path. Very easy to find. Seating outdoor on the Nile was picture perfect and fans/awnings provided comfort. The staff was excellent and ensured every question was answered and our drinks remained full. The food was very flavorful too! Highly recommend the cold mezze platter to share. The platter included larger servings of baba ghanoush, hummus, labneh, tabbouleh, and fattoush salad. So much food! The fresh baked bread was delicious, served warm, and provided an excellent compliment to the fresh salads. Looking forward to eating here again and trying the BBQ meats served on a grill table side. I went last week . 2 persons paid 3400 le which is extremely expensive . Food is normal and even less then normal . Service is the worst ever . Two different groups of Egyptian friends took me here on my visit to Cairo and both were great experiences. The views are incredible (my night visit was beautiful, but I think I enjoyed my day visit more - at least in March!), the food is amazing and plentiful (between the 2 visits and sharing with others I think I tried every grilled meat available), the service was prompt and helpful. At night there was a band playing. It got just a touch loud only because we were sitting so close.

Had a great experience at this restaurant. We went for dinner and we had a large party (30 guests). The food was delicious and service was outstanding. The restaurant manager, Mr Abdelsamad, and our servers, Hisham and Mohammed took such good care of us and made sure all our needs were met. We were on the roof top of the restaurant with an amazing view of the Nile. The servers even played our favorite songs. It was a memorable night for everyone who joined the party!
