I stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel for 16 nights and during this time I went 4 times to dine at the Solis restaurant, other times I ordered to my room. The food is excellent and beautifully presented. The best server is Rada and Amr. They’re very thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Other servers were sometimes very slow and they didn’t seem interested in the customers. The pool gives stunning views of the Nile and the pyramids. It’s a wonderful setting for dining.

Summary: nice view with some delicious dishes and some mediocre ones!. Disappointing burger!. I wouldn’t say a bad service, but for a hotel and a restaurant like that, the service was not professional nor good enough, and very slow. I came here for the burger as I have heard it one of the best, and for the nile view. We were two persons, we were seated outside with a nice nile and pool view (To our preference). We asked the waiter about how the chicken in “Zaatar chicken Plate” cooked, he couldn’t answer us, and said that the menu was recently changed and he also cannot recommend us specific dishes from the menu!. So we went ahead and ordered the same chicken plate and Solis burger, along with chicken caesar salad and lemon mint juice. Service was slow as the salad came after around 20 minutes, other dishes after 50-60 minutes and the lemon juice came later although requested with the food. My review of the dishes: - Chicken Caesar salad: Very nice, the chicken were beautifully cooked, caesar dressing was not too much and not too little. But the salad needed more lettuce. - Solis burger (Ordered medium well): Was disappointed to be honest, the burger was good at best, was not hot and not even warm (Probably cooked it waited for the other dish to be ready!), the burger was not juicy enough, which could mean that the fat percentage of the ground beef was not enough. Most importantly, the burger didn’t feel evenly cooked! - Zaatar Chicken: Was delicious, the chicken were perfectly cooked, full of spice. Highly recommended. Note: The portions won’t make you feel full (unless you ordered entrees and desserts) - Lemon mint juice: Underwhelming, You could buy a better tasting juice for less than half the price. After eating they asked us for feedback and I told them, but they didn’t seem to accept or react professionally to it. In general, nice view with some delicious dishes and some mediocre ones!. Catherine was a wonderful server. Very thoughtful, kind, and definitely guided us through our menu choices. Food was great. Try the Egyptian wine.

Great, friendly place to eat over looking the Nile. Friendly staff. Food selection is excellent. Atmosphere is amazing and it is very well priced. Reda is an excellent server. Request him.

Solis restaurant There are good things, there are great things and there are the things you love. If you are lucky, you can get three in one. We were lucky. We found this restaurant in the hotel where we stayed for a couple of days while exploring Cairo. After the day full of tours we were reluctant to go anywhere far away, so we just went to the second floor and… were amazed by the view! You can have inside or outdoors tables, smoking and non-smoking areas, and all the tables actually will give you a marvelous view — pool and Nile, which is especially good at sunset. The menu proposes wide selection of food. We were mostly interested in sushi (if you also are, I recommend you to take the crispy roll, my personal favorite), and our son went for Solis burger. All the food was delicious, the waiters very helpful and attentive, the general atmosphere exactly as you would like it in the evening after a busy day. So, I have very positive impressions and this place I can highly recommend

Great view with nice food and atmosphere. Thank you to Reda and his team for telling us to stay until sunset, because you can see the sunset right behind the pyramids and the nile upfront. I will never forget!

Wonderful place to have dinner in a nice and cozy ambiance. Music volume in perfect, not so low, not so high. You can eat food and talk also with friends. Food is very nice and staff is ready to help and willing to customize. I am sure, chef is also a great guy (thought, I couldn't meet him / her) I was served by Mr. Youssef and he was very professional and had smiling face and excellent in service. As usual it was fabulous breakfast experience many thanks to chef Ahmed and Mr.ahmed restaurant manger . You feel at home . Very clean and most experienced staff . We enjoyed very much. they are looking to serve you without even asking them.

We came to this restaurant because of the reviews and it looked much different than the pictures. We sat outside as the restaurant was closed during the day. We ordered cocktails and the margarita was excellent after the sugar was removed. It’s a beautiful view and the servers are very nice.

Two stars only because I was properly greeted by the hostess and immediately seated. I waited 5 minutes for a server before I walked to the bar and discovered server sitting at the bar and on his phone. If your wanting friendly fast service try the Zen cafe and Lounge down stairs.

Very bad experience the holiday Inn is good for room quality, for the personals and breakfast but lunch dinner better to order from outside not expensive and better quantity and quality. I received in my plate (see the photos) 1 piece of msussel missing octopus and less than 350g sure

I had been there many times and it was always a great place to be. There was especially an Internations event which was amazing! The staff was friendly and super helpful. They went out of their way to make it possible for us to play our own music. It was a great night!

Went to an InterNations event and the staff was great. They helped us play some music and went above and beyond to make it a great night.
