I slept in a treehouse in Sigiriya Rock Gate Resort. It had also a toilet and a shower inside. Through the tree branches and downstairs you can also get a good view of Sigiriya Lion Rock. Owner is a friendly guy and he took me to the bus station early in the morning 6am with his tuktuk. There were some annoying mosquitoes at night and it is a bit far from the center (~2 km) but overall good experience and good value for money.

We had a lovely stay in the TreeHouse, comfy bed. It's a tree house so if you are looking for luxury this is not for you. Also if you can't do stairs also not for you. Owner served us a nice Sri Lankan breakfast each morning and was very kind. It's a bit primitive, but isn't that the point! If your feeling adventurous you should do itπŸ‘

Impeccable service from a really lovely family! They prepared the same food that they were going to eat that night, therefore it was really authentic and the flavors was amazing. The rooms were clean and the bed had an actual duvet (+ sheet) instead of just a sheet which I really prefer. The little hotel was decorated in a Christmas and New Years Eve theme in the middle of June, which we found a bit quirky. Overall an excellent experience.

We stayed at the treehouse which was an amazing experience of the jungle. The room had a really nice view and the lion's rock can be seen from the hotel. The service was incredible! I would give it 10 stars! Such a lovely family. We were welcomed with natural organic Passion fruit juice and then the owner took care of us and with everything we needed. The food was very delicious and authentic.

We had a great stay at the cozy treehouse and really enjoyed the hospitality of the hosts. Great located with an amazing view. Delicious food. They make the best coconut sambol in Sri Lanka!

Stayed in triple room (my wife and 2 children). Lovely family running the place. Very clean room, bedding and lovely warm shower in private bathroom. We are the home cooked curry which was amazing. We stayed 2 nights. Extremely happy with our stay and hosts were wonderful.

This was the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The room, beds and the washroom were clean and extremely comfortable. The hotel is closest to sigriya which made it the best place to stay if you're planning to climb up. The hosts Tenuka and her family were absolutely amazing by lending us their bikes and scooter to explore the area. The local breakfast provided was really delicious and our neighbour commended his dinner as well. Little things like the drink we were given on arrival (made from limes from trees on property), to cold water bottles and help arranging transportation made the stay absolutely the best experience we had in Sri Lanka.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Decided to go up for just around sunrise and what a great decision. The climb up wasn't too bad. Most people with a little patience and time could climb up however if you struggle with stairs then this is definitely not for you. πŸ‘ Great way to climb up and see Lion Rock from a viewpoint if your on a tight budget. It takes approx 45 minutes to climb if you have good-average fitness. Costs 500 rupees. The majority of the climb is up steps however the last 10 minutes requires you to climb on your hands and knees. Climbed up at s...
