Very cool museum! Very empty when I visited which is always great. It's free (they take donations). The exibitions were interesting specially the Dia de Los Muertos one.

There was no fee to get in. The security guards were so friendly. You cannot take big bags or bottle water in but they will let you out it in a storage area. The Art was amazing!

This museum has such a diverse collection. It's very proud of where we have come and are going as Hispanics. 🖤🤓 Go donate, they need funds!

Great museum that is free to visit! There is so much to look at. Definitely a great addition to the community. They have events listed inside for members of the art exhibit. The halls are wide enough that you could comfortably bring children and have them by your side without risking them knocking into anything expensive. We went over a weekend and it was not very busy.

Very nice art museum in El Paso, very close to the history museum so you can easily see both on the same day. Very nice galleries with beautiful works of art.

I spent a good chunk of m my afternoon there a few weeks ago with my mother. Lots of wonderful things for your eyes to soak up! I highly suggest the Julie Speed exhibit before it disappears. She had become one of my favorite artists! Her attention to detail is quite fulfilling!

Free! It was very moving seeing all of the pieces. I was happy to see that during the weekday afternoon it is very quiet and you basically have the place to yourself. Not a lot of people when we went. You are allowed to take photographs.

I have always loved El Paso's art museum but the experience I had the last time I visited was exceptional. Having a security guard (I think this name was Isaiah) that knew about the art and showed interest in showing us around the art made it so much more interesting. You could tell he had worked there a long time and was not only interested in the art but wanted to show off the art to those viewing it as well. It's nice to see someone so cheerful an excited about their place of work.

Ok Tom Lea exhibit, including wartime art. Evening event with costumes for day of the dead. I've always liked this museum so getting in with my camera on a special night when the crowd energy was up was a great experience. I'd like to acknowledge the extra security who were present but not intruding on the enjoyment of the festivities.

It was so beautiful The artwork was just amazing. It felt like I was being followed by the paintings. You can take photos and if you want to donate money you can. I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun learning about artists, Especially the oil paintings that looked so realistic. It really is beautiful. Fun day for my family.

Good art museum with a variety of exhibits, event spaces, and classrooms. I found multiple thought-provoking pieces on my visit there; good art should sometimes do that to its viewers.

Free and amazing, But no water or food permits, people were friendly, and I enjoy looking at different artists who have made it possible, the first floor was dedicated to dia de Los Muertos and the second floor was dedicated to various artists and articles. But I enjoy the infernal art side and the God for future religion. The other side was for the history 1546 queen of Egypt, a very quiet place, clean and around security, a peaceful place to visit with the whole family or relax alone, That is for donations. I love it. ❤️

Stunning small collections of regional contemporary art depicting the ties and separation of Juarez and El Paso. Brings in gorgeous Americana landscapes and portraiture via 20th Century greats, and looks back to the Colonial Era, Renaissance, and even Byzantine with Classical religious iconography. Lots of “wow” moments here. It’s obvious how important light is to this West Texas town, and their paintings, photographs, and sculptures shine brilliant reflections of the people and places that make up this fascinating town and it’s environs.

Definitely enjoyed the Fashion Exhibit! The male security guards hovered over my family and I more than I cared for. Definitely detracted from the experience.

  • 4/5 Jannese _. 2 years ago on Google
I'm not sure if that is just how the exhibits are right now, but I felt as though there was a vast majority of religious based pieces which are not a problem, but I was just expecting more. Has lots of amazing pieces and currently has a fashion exhibit that is very exciting and refreshing. Probably not the greatest for small children.

Awesome place. Especially when they exhibit art from Socorro ISD students. Beautiful art pieces to see and admire. Found out they have art classes too. Definitely something to look into.

Security is absolutely awesome here, school art is gorgeous and a great incentive to the up and coming local artist. The fashion exhibit is a spectacular event providing insight into different time periods.

Amazing place to see regrettably the second floor was closed so we couldn't experience everything that they had to offer. Parking is not available near the building but further along there's street parking.

Really shocking collection of beautiful art; especially if you keep an open mind towards different types of art. If you have an appreciation for unique art regardless of whether or not a specific piece speaks to you or not you will really appreciate this museum.

AMAZING! I have traveled and lived all over the world. This place is a gem! Free with a lovely collection of art, well curated over the years. You feel welcomed the moment you enter and all is easy. We visited recently with my mother and young daughter and we walked into a classical concert playing live in the lobby as we toured the museum. A beautiful, charming experience! Highly recommend!

My first soundbath at this location. I was not directed to where it would be by the person at the front; he said he did not know, but I found it! It was a great place to have it dark, and a good place to beat the heat! Relaxing and so soothing.

The EPMA is a very cool place to go. *FULL DISCLOSURE- My wife works there and gives me the inner scoop. The museum store is my favorite place to go besides the exhibits. Partly because the store always has really neat stuff for the artists in your life and there’s always something fresh and original. However I mostly buy stuff from the store because a lot of the items are MADE by LOCAL ARTISTS and a portion of your purchase goes to them so they can keep creating more of what they love. As artists ourselves my wife and I fully believe in supporting/buying locally. The museum also has workshops and other events going on for the whole family. So if you want to know about what’s going on just stop in by the store or check out the website and you’ll get whatever questions you have answered. Also please remember that when you go please be respectful not only of the museum but of the folks that work there and PLEASE DO NOT COMPLAIN about the the prices of the items. There has to be a profit made not only to keep the store going but the local artists that help contribute items for sale at the store. These folks work hard not only to keep creating fresh original artwork but also to support their families so please keep that in mind. So go enjoy the museum and have fun.

The El Paso Museum if art is a really good showcase of art in general but more specifically of El Pasoan Art. I had to go for a school project but ended up seriously intrigued by some of the art pieces. The ambient and quietness of the museum is also a plus. This really lets you enjoy and reminisce on every piece of art and really concentrate on the intricate pieces.
