Staff are super nice, and the recepcionists have decent English. Rooms are quite small, but very cozy. Beds are comfortable. Everything is VERY clean, and cleaning staff are super nice and helpful. The included breakfast is large and varied, we loved it. There's free, decent WiFi, bathrooms are great, and the terrace is lovely. I would suggest getting a room on the upper floor, because breakfast is served every morning(07:30-09:00) in front of the rooms on the lower floor.

My partner and I were lucky enough to get the private room with semi private balcony. We stayed here for 7 days and has been the best place on our trip. This is not a party hostel which is perfect infact it's nit a hostel at all more like a 2nd home. The cleaning was done regularly, multiple times a day, I even saw them steam cleaning the mattresses đź‘Ś the breakfast each morning were delicious and generous portions the 2 lady's serving were always very friendly and welcoming and the other staff very helpful even for us non Spanish speakers. I couldn't recommend this place enough if I'm ever back in Antigua I'll definatley be staying here again. The only negative thing I will say is if you're not a fluent spanish speaker do not book the volcano hike tour through here, if we had known they didn't speak any English we wouldn't have booked and we were left on a 2 day hike without any water which they said would be provided not at fault of yellow house I'd just suggest booking tours through other companies DYOR.

I wish I could love this hostel. It was my second stay, but I won’t be back. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast is a nice added service. The private double room with a terrace is cozy and comfortable but it’s so close to the rooftop hangout space that it doesn’t offer any privacy. People kept using our “private” terrace for eating breakfast and smoking cigarettes until I asked the staff to rope it off because guests walked onto the terrace while I was naked in my room. I realize smoking is still part of life for many others, but it was really gross (and bothersome to my asthma) to smell cigarettes while laying in bed in the morning, doing yoga on the “private” terrace, and eating breakfast—I left for breakfast outside the hostel because guests smoked during the entire breakfast. Highly recommend banning smoking at the hostel. Many others do!

Quiet, friendly staff, super comfy bed and amazing breakfast! Best breakfast during our whole trip. The value is amazing, I am so glad we stayed here! We had the room upstairs with private terrace. It was cloudy, but I’m sure the volcano view is amazing when it isn’t.

Ok hostel, nice staff. Just the hostel vibe is missing, no common activities, not really a communicative place.

Best hostel in Antigua! The free breakfast was a particular highlight, served by the wonderful staff and accompanied with free coffee and hot chocolate. The rooms are excellent too, and all of the facilities are sparkling clean. Honestly cannot complain.

Beautiful hostel/hotel in central location in Antigua. Breakfast is delicious and with a gorgeous setting. Staff are friendly and so helpful in booking us transport / answering our queries etc. My favourite accommodation in our 2 months travelling so far. Thank you for having us!

I stayed one night at Yellow House and it was my second hostel in Antigua. This hostel is so excellent for the price. I though the location was great, and I loved the layout and I loved my private in suite room. It was lovely and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Showers have great pressure. Breakfast is excellent value and the ladies who serve it are so nice and friendly. They also helped arrange shuttles for me for slightly less than other hostels did.

I stayed in the dorm at this hostel for 5 weeks, so I feel like I can share some insight. This place is amazing! The staff is so friendly and on top of everything. They even came into the dorm everyday to make beds and clean. They were constantly cleaning the whole place. The breakfast every morning is incredible and big, factor that into the overall price. Most of this place is private rooms, with the one dorm. There are areas to hang out upstairs with lots of plants. The kitchen is nice and is equipped with the basics.

Stayed here on and off over a week of moving about Guatemala. Probably the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. The staff are constantly keeping the place spotless, clean and tidy. The breakfast is freshly made and amazing. All of the staff are wonderful. Would recommend anytime

We stayed here 5 nights, spread over 2 weeks and 3 different rooms due to multi-day hikes so we got a good gist of the hostel. And it’s awesome! There’s no better breakfast in any other hotel or hostel we have ever been, and it’s included in the price. The rooms were small but super clean and most importantly, the beds slept so well! The shared kitchen is big and has all the tools you need. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hostel to anyone at any time. It felt like home, a peaceful and clean place with smiling people. Highly recommended.

I’ve never stayed in a place that’s cleaner and cosier than this. Truly spectacular in every detail. Super friendly staff. The bathrooms are cleaned every half an hour at least and the breakfast is the best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hostel / hotel. Not to mention the gorgeous decorations in the room. Will be recommending it to everyone. Maybe skip their Acatenango tour which we found super disappointing but not their fault. Our favourite hostel!

The room was clean and spacious with colorful decor. Great energy. The space is filled with cozy nooks to nap or work, whatever you need. Wifi was consistent. Breakfast was the highlight especially the women who made and served it with such care. Everyone working here was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Some rooms are in quieter locations than others so if you are looking for more quiet and privacy let them know. A few of the rooms open up to common spaces so noise level just depends on who is using those spaces.

One of the best hostels I have stayed at, ever! The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, there are two rooftop terraces with views of the surrounding city and volcanoes, as well as hammocks, and a kitchen and chill areas downstairs too. Location is great -- right beside a main church and about 10-15 from the central downtown square. Lots of good little restaurants around (there is an amazing crepe place called Luna de miel that we visited multiple times), and you're close enough to walk up to the mirador in about 25-45 minutes depending on your speed. The breakfast is legendary (one of the best hostel breakfast I've had in 50+ countries of travel) and changes a bit every day -- freshly made fried or scrambled eggs, INCREDIBLE beans, tomatoes, potatoes, fresh fruit, bread, and then some kind of carb like oatmeal or pancakes or french toast. It is so filling and feels very healthy and balanced as well. Staff is AMAZING. Gaby, Brenda, Andrea, Juan Pablo, MarĂa and Lily were folks we saw every day and they were so friendly and helpful every time we spoke. I know we also interacted with other lovely staff whose names we didn't get. You're just guaranteed excellent, friendly interactions and help from the people who work here. We came back three times and each time it felt like coming home. It definitely sets a high standard for any hostel or hotel. We'll look forward to returning in the future!

Love this hotel. The bedroom was spotless. The service is great. Staff very welcoming. And the breakfast is delicious. They organize for us a coffee tour in the Finca Filadelfia.

Love this place so much! Amazing location right in the middle of town, but still feels secluded. Nice private rooms, delicious breakfast every morning, and the nicest staff around. There are some small nooks around the place where you can get work done if needed. Common kitchen is nice and well equipped. Stayed here multiple times in Antigua. Highly recommend!!

Very pleasant B&B type accommodations. It's not very welcoming from the outside because it's also a tourism agency, but once you are inside, it's full of pleasant little rooms (I had a single bed room with shared bath) that are basic, but with some pretty details from the local craft accents. The breakfast really stands out - the young women prepare your plate for you, with eggs the way you like them, potatoes, tomatoes, beans... fruit, more... The upper terrace doesn't have a spectacular view, but there are lots of nice little spots to relax.

Can't fault this piece one bit. Beds are comfy, there's a nice outside space to chill, the staff are constantly cleaning and super helpful. Also the breakfast is great and the ladies who serve it are so lovely.

A super clean neat hotel an hostal. Great staff. Incredible breakfast. Reasonable price. Have stayed more than once here. Not very social place though.

I enjoyed the breakfast. All the staff were very friendly, understanding and helpful. The double room with shared bathroom is pretty small but that's on me for not reading the descriptions more carefully. Stayed another night in room with private bathroom and was great! Room and bathrooms were clean and had fans which I definitely needed! Great location and you can book tours at reception.

a wonderful service both the Hostel and a travel agency . their service is super comfortable. They always pick you up on time. I made the mistake of arriving 10 minutes after the pick-up time (the driver came for me at 12:35, meaning I only waited 5 minutes) those from the Yellow House (Brenda) and those from the Hotel Casa Sofía (Estu) delayed that the driver Chepin (Alfredo Jiménez), would like to leave me and the French traveler so if they tell you at 12:30, be punctual (10 minutes before, as Chepin emphasized, I am also sure that he could have avoided the scolding as if we were small children and also that he will repeatedly remind us of the insufficient 400 dollars a month he receives in salary). again yellow house (Brenda) thank you for interceding so that they will wait for us and always ensure our safety and comfort. the breakfast buffet is delicious and super mega sincerely recommended in all of guatemala in the 3 weeks i spent in the country i did not find any buffet so deliciously prepared and with so much love. so well the cleanliness of the facilities is unbeatable. I am delighted. its services and atmosphere is ideal for solo travelers and those who enjoy connecting with locals. If you stay here you won't regret it at all. Something that I am delighted with is that they always help you make the decision that is best for you depending on the time of year and the weather. I really liked that Brenda thinks like a traveler thinks and she always gives you local recommendations. I am completely delighted.

We spent 3 nights in the hostel and it was amazing! The team is lovely, helpful and always smiling. We decided to do the volcano tour with them as well, it was soooooo good. We also booked a schedule to go to Nicaragua and they helped us with everything. I recommend this hostel without a doubt!

the best hostel in Antigua! We stayed there for a week. The hostel is very clean and the staff is amazing! Lily and Maria are making the best breakfast that I tried in Guatemala. the rooms and big and clean, so are the toilets. there is a nice rooftop and kitchen for you to make your own food (including fridge and cooking equipment) the hostel is in the center of the city. I highly recommend this hotel!

Friendly staff, friendly reception who let us check in early , amazing breakfast (maria and one other i forgot her name but they were amazing), spacious rooms. We came after acantengo hike and it was the perfect place to chill out. Central location. Laundry next to the hostel. Offer shuttles. Nice common areas with good views over the city. Just nothing to complain about.

This is by far the best youth hostel experience I have ever had in the entire world! The best part about this hostel is that all the staff, even the cleaning ladies, go way out of their way to talk to their guests and remember their names. Also, for a hostel in a Latin American country, it's amazing how everyone at the front desk speaks English and if you are a Spanish learner, they also have extreme patient with you speaking in Spanish. The rooms are also great; no bunkbeds which is a big plus for me and are very clean; the restaurants down the road have some serious roach issues but here, it's impeccable and the bathrooms do not have any rust or water damage (although it does need some ventilation for the showers) The breakfast is not just bread and slices of fruits in most hostels but actually 'continental.' Also, it offers laundry service for Q5 per pound and the proximity to the Chicken bus station and the Santa Catalina arch is a big plus. Highly recommended!

I stayed here a few times, both in the dorm and private room, and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and quiet, the staff extremely helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The rooftop is a great place to lounge or have breakfast. The dorm is a great place to meet other travelers. Highly recommend it if you can get a bed.

The breakfast is incredibly good, I would say the best I had during all my travels. Also we booked all tours there and got the best prices compared to others joining us on the tour. The staff is really friendly and helpful, it is very clean and the Wi-Fi works great. Nothing I could complain about! ;)

Beautiful dorm, warm shower, super clean and the people are so friendly. The terrace is the highlight and breakfast was also included. With hot chocolate. Thank you!

The staff are amazing. They're so kind and try everything in their power to make you feel home and welcome. Everything is super clean as they're cleaning all day long. Also breakfast is delicious, the best one I had in central America so far. It's served as a buffet, with beans, potatoes, tomatoes as well as pancakes, oatmeal and eggs. Definitely go there!
