The Rainbow Cafe has the nicest waitstaff around! The dining area is clean, tastefully decorated, appropriately lit and clean! Menu has plenty of options. Outside dining is available surrounded by beautiful flowering plants. And the bathrooms are CLEAN! The Rainbow Cafe gets my coveted “Pizzaman 5 ***** Star Rating!

Fast service with zero wait time to be seated. Had the chicken and waffles with coffee and it was fantastic. I’ll be back.

Loved everything about this spot from the continuous 90's music playing in the background to the attentive service of Rhonda.....her pleasant demeanor made us feel comfortable. Her recommendations were spot on... The split pea soup was AMAZING. (Tuesday special) lolol I ordered the French toast, eggs and turkey sausage....nothing special but all done right. My gurl ordered the veggie omelet, pancakes ...everything was awesome ...

Rainbow Cafe is a favorite spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner in downtown Elmhurst. It is conveniently located right next to a parking lot. The Cafe has outdoor cafe table as well as indoor diner type tables. Inside has a diner type feel as well as the menu selections. The food is generous and the prices are good. The service is fast and good and our coffee was always kept full. The menu has some up-to-date iron skillet type dishes - I tried the vegetable one and it was really good with lots of cheese in it. Have returned quite a few times. This summer the side little area next to the cafe tables had an art exhibit called Umbrella Sky which lit up the area with bright colors and interest. See photos. The staff and waitress are awesome and patient very nice and friendly helpful with the elderly took my family they loved everything I enjoyed the skirt steak and eggs very delicious very happy we found this place loved it. Can't wait to come back

The customer service here is AMAZING!! The staff and servers are all so genuine, kind, and friendly!! Felt so comfortable here. The place is clean and big, and there's nice outdoor seating as well. We got brunch here, ordered some eggs that came with pancakes. The brunch was like any other American breakfast place. My skillet was good and tasty, however, unfortunately my sister found some egg shells in her.. we told the server, and they took it off the bill and apologized, and asked if we wanted anything else. I know it sounds like a bad experience, but honestly, the vibes and customer service make up for it, plus the food was made by humans, so sometimes mistakes happen, and it's okay.. I would also come here again and do recommend them.

The place boasts lovely decor, delicious food (I tried the latte, which was delightful), and a very friendly owner. It's conveniently situated in the heart of Elmhurst, with ample free parking right at the building.

The presentation and taste was exceptional. Every table had patrons and the waitress was still attentive. Clean and presentable atmosphere. I will be sure to return next time im in this area. Good Job Rainbow Cafe

I visited on 1/16/2024.Food was great. The potatoes look a little burnt but they were not dry. Not a fan of tea choices but what they had available was good. Waitress was awsome.

Okay so....I like my eggs scrambled and burned. No restaurant has EVER brought my eggs to me with such perfection. There was a marble section in the center of the table. I pointed to it and said, "I want my eggs to look like that!" Our server made notes of her own and came back with the perfect results. Great job! Everything else was great. Good food, good service, great location. The wait wasn't very long. They may need a bigger place because it's so good and everyone around seems to know. More tables needed.

Had the Nashville skillet and was blown by the flavor. I would recommend this dish. The staff was very welcoming as well coming on vacation from Florida. It was a great experience.

Found this nice friendly, inviting place online while searching for places that had crêpes after 6p.m.and my father me and my family went. It was excellent. The crêpes were the best I've had at any restaurant in the area and I'm not from here. Been in the area since 2010 and been to many places. Never have I ever had more of a true French crêpe to remind me of my late grandma wonderful french food. All other dishes were delightful as well. The service was spectacular and we just a really nice relaxing time. We definitely will be going back. Thanks to those who own the cafe and the servers. Y'all are AMAZING. Bless y'all.

It was really good I came here twice and I had no bad things happen the food was super good i recommend the mozzarella sticks and pasta

My favorite place in the area. The people there is always nice and kind. Food is delicious and has the size enough to even take some home (with fair prices). I would just make some changes on their coffee and pancakes, and that's it.

Used to take my mother here for breakfast after her weekly blood test at Elmhurst Clinic. Back then it was the original location. Food and service was always great. Wish I had some Rainbow right now!

Their prices are insanely high. Ordered a steak skillet that came to the table with almost no steak in it. On the side it came not one but two rounds of burnt raisin bread. Sent it back since they couldn’t get roast right. Never coming back. Don’t recommend to anyone, at all.

Pancakes are great. Breakfast burrito (chorizo cheese cilantro and avocado) was delicious. Atmosphere is splendid. Staff are extremely friendly. Coffee was good too. Very happy we ate here!

We Absolutely loved this place! Not only do they serve Papa Nicholas coffee, their food is delicious and they we next to a beautiful exhibit of umbrellas, making it all look so darling. Our waitress was so kind, the person that was with us had some mobility issues and she was treated with compassion and respect. Will definitely keep coming back!

I enjoy the food at Rainbow, I miss the old location, which was across the street. My wife and I would go there late at night and it was always busy. The dining room was clean, and we enjoyed catching up with old friends. Parking was available in the parking garage right behind the location.

Outstanding customer service. The menu, coffee, silverware are ALREADY on the table while you are sitting down. Owners know their customers personally. Patio is beautiful. Food comes quickly though this place is always busy. Waiters are genuinely nice and friendly.

1st time at this Cafe with family. We were seated immediately as a party of 7. Restaurant was pretty busy but that did not stop them from accommodating us. Ronda our server was the best. Very attentive, sweet and made us feel like were over at her home for a delicious meal.

My wife loved the New Orleans French toast. My meat lovers skillet with added mushrooms was delicious. I love that they have sourdough toast. Our waitress made sure we alway had what we needed and kept our coffee cups filled.
