I visited this place not knowing how good the kofta was. It's just an unassuming stall in the market and there are so many other stalls around it. There wasn't a menu the waiter just came to ask if I wanted more or less meat and the others just came naturally. I didn't really touch much of the salad and the yoghurt but the kofta was just so good! I didn't expect it to be so tender and juicy and it almost melts in the mouth. The only regret I had was not ordering more but the meal was totally satisfying. This is one place I would remember and recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul to try. Service was pretty fast you get all the food served to the table within 5 minutes. Thumbs up!

One of the best köfte in İstanbul, portion 65tl can be not enough for 1 person, you can add salad for 35tl, sütlaç was good, 35tl. Staff are friendly. The only disadvantage is that the restaurant is small, old and not comfortable.

Nicely cooked meatballs, piyaz is absolutely die for. And I would definitely recommend sütlaç(rice pudding).👍🏼

We have always been coming here over the years on our turkish visit, but unfortunately it seems its our last one .. unless they restructure their prices. Its a complete ripoff 190 Lira for 6 small pieces of meat balls. Is just not acceptable to me. Its a shame how some touristy restaurants are taking advantage of this crisis. Total bill was 1040 lira .i was with my wife and 4yr daughter. Crazily expensive.

One of the best köfte (meatball) restaurants in Istanbul. Filibe Koftecisi is located in historical peninsula. I tried filibe kofte, yogurt and desert “ekmek kadayıfı” and all of them are delicious. They aldo serve hot sauce and fresh bread with kofte. Prices are little bit high but the food is awesome!

Definitely no recommendation. Totally intransparent pricing system. You order some meatballs (your only choice is the number) and you get some unlovely prepared salads and bread. Finally, you get a way overpriced bill. What made me angry was the fact, that it seemed to be a real local restaurant with a long tradition, but they are fully specialised on tourist hunting. Of course, there are only tourist restaurants in this area. But others do a decent job and charge a fair price.

Greatest meatball standard in Turkey. Çok lezzetli köfte…

Best kofte in Constantinople! Welcoming people and great food! Simple, served with tomato salad, onion , yoghurt and beans! Really worth it! If you don’t want too many things, order the specifics you want because they brought us more stuff than we wanted and they do cost a lot if you add them all together!

Extremely overrated place. None of the local will go there. It is occupied by tourists who don’t have any taste. 1 portion contains 6 pieces walnut size meatballs and taste is very regular not worth to money. There is no menu so you can not check the price (1 portion of meatball+salad is 400₺). Regular supermarket (for example Migros meatballs) are better. Spend your money for something else not for this place.

Food isn’t bad but if you’re a tourist who doesn’t speak Turkish expect them to just put a bunch of food on the table without asking what you want not telling you prices and then charge you the excessive amount for everything. Would never come here again and definitely making sure to not recommend it for friends who visit in the future.
