This is the best restaurant in essaouira! We had both breakfast and dinner here. Taijin is perfect. The grilled fish with salad is great yoo. We love the salad so much. It’s so fresh. All these just cost us 50dirham. The food is worth for the price. We wamt to try more food in this cafe if we had more time.

Wow, what an amazing find. A small cozy spot where Jalil cooks up great food right in front of you. The prices are super low and my three egg omelette and mint tea was delicious.

The food is super great, prices are very good, and best of all Jalil is awesome! I asked if I could order ahead for some shark meat, and he just went to the market with me and helped me buy it!

Super tasty street food. It's a one man Café with a few dishes. Worth going if you are in the medina. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, it's just a 'hole in a wall'. We had fish balls tagine, omelette tomato and grilled sardines.

Great chicken cous cous! Super cheap for only 30 Dh. A little hard to find in a tiny alley but we eventually found it. Also had tea for 5 Dh. The owner was nice and worked with us to get situated as we had two strollers. We will be back. Also had green lentils from the shop next door.

Best food we've had in Morocco, no debate. It was so good we came back the next day for lunch again. This is no fancy place, selection is limited to what's on the grill at the moment, but everything we got was absolutely delicious. It was also great to see the staff prepare new meals literally next to us as we ate. On top of it, the food is incredibly cheap and you get big portions too.

The best tajine in all Essaouira! At Jalil's cafe you feel comfortable and cozy. Here you can always eat well and feel the atmosphere of the city from the inside.

We've travelled a bit in Morocco and had some really hit and miss meals but had breakfast here two days in a row. We would have kept going back if we were here longer. The food is great, crazy inexpensive and Jalil himself is a lovely guy. Try the Salad Morrocaine and Omlette Tomate. We shared food on the first day and got our own on the second because we didn't want to share! Small and hard to miss when walking past but really worth a visit in a town full of expensive but just okay food!

After eating a range of seafood and meats, all I wanted was a simple vegetable tajine with cous cous. This place is perfect for a well priced tasty meal. Only thing I would suggest is possibly give the shop next to Cafe Jalil some business, they offer the same dishes but as they are not as animated as the owner of Cafe Jalil struggle to get a fraction of the business.

Super cheap and simple menu. The owner is a cool friendly guy, doesn't speak English though. The omelette tomato dish was really tasty, the grilled sardines were good, I came back for dinner and asked for a Kefta Tangine, thinking it would be beef meat balls and eggs in a tomato sauce base, but I got sardine balls in the sauce base with vegetables and no eggs. I just accepted it and ate it, it tasted good. For the price you have to accept what's on offer.. if you're on a budget then I highly recommend this place.

We ended up eating here twice. Simple menu and We love it!! Forgot to take a photo of their tomatoes &herbs omelette but it’s delicious. Everything is great and really really cheap. Also try Harira and Tagine at chez Fatima but we prefer Jalil.

If you want a dirt cheap and delicious meal!? This is the local place for you. Honestly cute little man made me a hugeeee plate of fresh sardines and they were epic!

Came here twice to have their egg omelette. Simply, best omelette I have ever had. Good price, simply unbeatable.

Good food at cheap prices. Very friendly owner Sitting options are not good for more than 2 people. Definitely a must try in Essaouira!
