First time trying this lovely spot - we were welcomed with a friendly smile right away. We ordered the cod & the halibut - this was the first fish and chips place I’ve been to that had delicious fries along with the fish. It came out relatively quick and was absolutely delicious. Would definitely be back for the welcoming hosts and the tasty food!

The hospitality and kindness of the restaurant owner Eli and his daughter were very special. I felt like at home. Two neighboring countries and friendship, brotherhood and peace, common history, the same culture and similar cuisines, hearts that are actually one, the values ​​that make us who we are, always remind us of our humanity and that we are the same. The food was very delicious. The service is very fast and the hygiene is perfect as always. Prices are quite reasonable. In my opinion, this is the best seafood restaurant in the region. The owners, who hail from Greece, have truly mastered the art of preparing exceptional fish dishes. The star of the show was, of course, their fish. The side of chips was equally impressive, with just the right amount of seasoning and a satisfying crunch. I couldn't get enough of them! What sets this restaurant apart, though, is the passion and warmth of the owners. Their Greek heritage shines through in the food, and their genuine hospitality makes you feel like part of the family. They took the time to offer additional free salad as well. In short, if you're a fan of fish and chips and crave a truly amazing culinary experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. Etobicoke Gem! My husband and I finally visited this small family owned business and we were very pleased! The atmosphere was very warm, inviting, and friendly and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious. We ordered the calamari and halibut dinners - the fish was fried to perfection, not greasy at all and perfectly battered - same with the calamari! The rice was amazing! You can tell this family business takes pride in what they do and it definitely shows! We will absolutely be back and telling all of our family and friends about John’s!

Amazing fish and chips probably the best I’ve had in the city. Perfect batter that’s not too heavy and fresh fish. I had the haddock and loved it. Great service by the most friendliest owners.

Just had the lunch special at John’s and it was delicious. Really great fish and chips. Batter was perfect, light and not greasy. Seasoning was on point. The fish was cooked perfectly and i was surprised at the portion size, took a pic. Huge portion. I was treated with a lot of care and kindness as well. Big kudos to Jonh’s F&C team. Thank you!

A local hidden gem for fish and chips and other seafood options. Clean with simple but nice ambience, very relaxing atmosphere (my style of quieter music) 😊! Friendly, personable and attentive service with great food! Owners went out of their way to assist a repeat vision impaired customer to ensure his online order was delivered. I finally made it to this beautiful family-owned restaurant, and my only regret is that I didn't visit sooner! The place was clean, the service was outstanding, the owners treat you like family, and the food was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips – the fish was fresh and so crispy; the fries cooked to perfection and not too salty, and the coleslaw hit the spot perfectly. Don't leave without ordering a slice of their famous baklava – you'll thank me later. I can't wait to come back :)

Came in today with my parents and best friend after a recommendation from a friend and his dad. They said it was their favourite fish and chips spot after going through all of the places we’ve both been and I HAD to try. They were 100% right. First of all, best fish and chips I have actually ever eaten but the service is whats worth writing this review (i have never written a restaurant review). Maria was the sweetest and kindest lady along with her mother and husband Bill. We chatted for about 40 minutes with conversations flying back and forth. Everyone had so much to say. She was super personable and seems like an amazing person. This will be our new spot and i can’t wait to come back :)))

Amazing food and the friendliest family!!! Been enjoying their fish and calamari for a while but recently decided to try the octupus and it was AMAZING!! The way it was prepared, the tenderness and the flavours made it really enjoyable... the best I have ever eaten.... It's so nice to walk into a restaurant where you are treated like family and even better when the food is so great!!

I just want to write about a fantastic fish and chips restaurant which is across the street from my clinic. We treat ourselves to their delicious halibut fish, chips and coleslaw. The fish is very crispy and the portion size is generous. The fries are delicious and the coleslaw is perfect. They also have many other options on their menu. We have tried many other places, but John's Fish and Chips is by far the best we have ever had. It is exceptional and a must try. It is a family owned restaurant which is very clean, and customer service is number one to them. The staff are very friendly and kind. They make sure that you are satisfied in every way.
