They seem to think you as a person or what you spend isn't important. No accountability for giving bad instructions or advise. I asked a question about a situation with our cats. I asked if I should do something to fix a situation that we were buying medication for. I was told not to, but then when the situation came up again I was told to do what I had asked before and when I informed the vet, that he told me not to do it the first time, he made excuses, but I was charged for the medication again. No accountability. Not even an apology for instructing me to not do what I asked about. Next time I call, I'm asked, by the receptionist, if my questions would take long, because there were other people. I guess my questions, about my cat's health, aren't as important as other people that were after me.

We took our boston terrier in for a anal gland infection and were given AmoxiClav on 4/24/23 medicine that was for every 12 hours for the next 10 days. He had a side effect "abdomen started bulging on sides" and we let them know and they proceeded to tell us it was his food that we have always been feeding him for the last 6 years that gave him a side effect. After close to spending $1000 at there facility with a few weeks we decided to let it go in hope of it fixing itself. Here we are 11/15/23 and still has the anal gland infection and looks very uncomfortable with his abdomen bulging out. Were really considering putting him down at this point since this place was of no help what so ever in addressing the problem and finding a solution, they just take the money and can care less what happens after the fact.

A couple months ago, my boyfriends cat wasn’t breathing normally, and was very lethargic. We were scared there was something seriously wrong with her so we took her to this place hoping they could shed some light on the issue. They got her in a ventilated cage and called us in. They said she was probably going into respiratory failure and asked for $1500 to run tests…I knew emergency vets were expensive but we literally didn’t have the money. So against their recommendations we gathered our cat and took her home. The next day we took her to a regular vet. They said her breathing was a little struggled, but not to the extreme like this vet told us. It turns out she had a bone eating tumor on her spine. It was only about 600 dollars for multiple vet visits. We eventually had to let her go because the pain was too much for her. But needless to say, I am not happy with this vet. My aunt herself is a vet and was furious when I told her how these people handled the situation. Between lying and telling us the cat was going into respiratory failure and the money…not worth it. If you can, I would recommend either going to a different hospital or if it’s something that can wait, go to your regular vet.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I took my dog in for a wellness exam with Arthur Lahm. I had some concerns regarding her voiding and all he wanted to do was push this dog food on me. Would not listen to what I was saying and would literally leave the room and come back with a bag of dog food for me to buy. He did this multiple times. We ended up leaving the visit. 0/10. Definitely will NEVER recommend this place.

VCA Delta Oaks is my favorite Animal Hospital I’ve been to in Eugene! I’ve seen Dr. Schulke, & Dr. Rensema more than multiple times for my Cats, Vern & Tobie!! The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and polite! They helped save Vern’s life, and are a huge part of why he is alive today! I couldn’t be happier with how compassionate, knowledgeable, & attentive the Doctors are at this Hospital! Forever grateful for such a caring Animal Hospital! 😺

This animal hospital is fantastic. We just moved to the area so it was out first visit and we felt so safe and well taken care of. I didn’t mind waiting in the car and talking to the vet over the phone. They followed the COVID-19 protocol perfectly! The vet addressed my concerns and suggested appropriate treatment. He even considered my budget and made suggestions to help me save money too. Grey came out smiling with a goodie bag full of treats and toys! We could not be happier. Thanks VCA Delta Oaks!!

We've been with VCA Delta Oaks for several years, but it wasn't until we adopted our recent rescue (HIGH anxiety) that we came to truly appreciate the genuine care, patience and compassion of this staff. Can't say enough good things about this team, but especially Dr. Dave. He fully listens to our concerns, empathetic, super thorough explanations of recommendations, very responsive, always checks in on us following appointments. We are so, so, so thankful we found this office!

Receptionists are not consistent in what they tell current patients and one "that has worked there for four years" (which is not a terribly long time) is not particularly kind or helpful (as we've called on multiple different days and she always seems to have a sour attitude... and we're patients! [imagine how she may act toward the public]) The DOCTORS *are* helpful and knowledgeable, however

I am really disappointed in the care my cat received. We have been in to VCA delta around 3 times. I have expressed concern about the condition in his mouth- this was always written off as being gingivitis. I went to another veterinarian and she instantly knew it was something much more serious just by looking at his body. My poor boy has been suffering for the past few years because he was not being taken seriously. I am disappointed in the care and don’t recommend coming here, the information the vet gave me cannot be trusted.

I purchased the puppy plan for my Doodle and had her spayed at 8 months. A small hernia was also repaired. Before this time I had had positive experiences with VCA Delta, but after my dog’s surgery I noticed that the sutures were uneven, bulging and looked to be done in haste. It took 4 months and many visits for them to heal. Since then my dog has gone into heat twice. This means that not everything was removed during the spay which will cause problems for my dog in the future. I spoke to the surgeon and he said he would check to see if he could do exploratory surgery for free but they haven’t got back to me (that was June) and it’s been two days since my last call with no reply. Now I have to pay another vet to complete the spay. I’ll be posting a complaint to the BBB.

Dr Jim and the entire staff were so nice. Dr gave BUZZ a complete exam and didn't try to shove and "extras" like teeth cleaning or any vaccines that BUZZ doesn't need. DR Jim asked if indoor cat and BUZZ is so he didn't need any. Would recommend this Vet to anyone

Had a great experience when I needed to get my new puppy in for a wellness visit on short notice. The staff was friendly and Dr. Garretson was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I take my 2 French bulldogs and my orange indoor outdoor tabby cat here. They have been great with my animals. Between wound care allergy care and basic health questions they have been great. busy clinic so scheduling is a Little tough but they do have a cancellation list so if you do get scheduled out a few weeks they can out you on the list in case someone cancels you can take the spot. Very convenient.

I was from out of town traveling with my two dogs one of them was not doing well and couldn’t use her back leg when I called for an appointment they got me an appointment with Dr Lahm I absolutely loved him he was great with Daisy and she had no problems with him she seemed very comfortable letting him check her he told me what she needed and gave me options never pushing anything that she didn’t need like some Vets iv been to. All the staff was very friendly and caring. Thank you for the great experience and excellent care I would highly recommend this VCA for your pets.

They're great but you can never get in anymore. I don't mind waiting, but it's over a 2 month wait, they have no same day or same week appointments. Your only choices are getting on a cancellation list with 30 people on it currently OR you get to call at 8am every day and hope that will get you an appointment. They are very specific about this "You don't call at 8:03, you call right at 8am". Great. So I join the flood of people calling at precisely 8am. I'll just keep my work schedule completely open for this. Sounds like a wonderful plan. So I'm going to the Pet ED, where I wanted to avoid by establishing as a client.

Just had my first new patient appointment and I loved the service! The staff was so kind and took great care of my wild 2 year old lab. Listened and took care of my concerns, and got a second appointment all scheduled before leaving. I am so happy I chose VCA to take care of my baby. :)

Redden and I were greeted by April in such a friendly manner we felt like regulars even though this was our first visit! Jennifer was wonderfully sweet and helpful with the initial portion of the visit and Dr Dave was incredible in administering Red’s shots. I VERY much appreciated being made to understand the possible procedures, and the pricing options available. I wish I lived near Eugene and could come here more often!

Absolutely loved the experience here. They were not biased towards my dog and his side/breed what so ever like other places I have been. They listened to any concerns, gave multiple options, and were super polite! They don’t seem like they’re just trying to get money from you. My dog was also super comfortable and happy here, unlike the two vets previous! Super clean place as well (:

I adopted my dog, Doyle just over a year ago and from the beginning VCA was my trusted partner for caring for my new fur family! VCA has helped care and love my dog like he was theirs. I moved 3 hours from my vet but cannot even image taking my Doyle to anyone but Delta Oaks VCA so we just made the trip up for the yearly exam. They are the most amazing people, wonderful veterinarians, amazing techs, and an awesome front desk! I cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done!

VCA Delta Oaks is amazing! I appreciate their kindness, helpfulness and all around service they have provided during a scary time for our kitty! This has been the best Vet experience I have had and I am very grateful for everyone there. You guys are awesome!

First Vet I've loved. The staff are phenomenal and my little guy (dog) always gets love and a treat. The doctors and clinical staff have always gone above and beyond; down to the details of making a sweet pumpkin out of gauze on my little guys wrap after a lumpectomy.

👍👍 We really like the Ark. The people there are friendly and very helpful. Sure, taking your pet to the vet can be a bit spendy. They didn't seem to be too bad when compared to other places. 👍👍 I am very skeptical of most vets as I’ve had numerous bad experiences.
