Very nice view but very poor offer in terms of food and beverages. Menu is very scarce with a limited offer to choose from. No beer or alcohol is served at all. Lemonade not made out of natural ingredients, very artificial. If you come for the food offer, just forget about it. If you only care about sitting down to order tea and water, and to contemplate the views, then it should suffice.

Perfect time and amazing place to enjoy a delicious Turkish coffee and gözleme and also for taking a short time travel in the old house of Pierre Loti. And the view over the Golden Horn is well worth it.

This was a lovely place to take in the views of the old city. Being outside the walls we were able to see part of them and a city gate as well as the famous skyline. To reach the viewing area you can either take the cable car (long wait) or walk up the pathway through the graveyard of Eyup Mosque. That took as about 10 minutes and was a pleasant and shaded walk. The cafe at the top is very popular although we just had a drink so I'm not sure what the food is like there.

A nice place to visit and walk around. A quiet area in Istanbul. You need to take the teleferik to get there and there will be a relatively long queue. We ate at the first spot directly over the view and their burger was really good, the crepes were alright though. I recommend you to go there to enjoy the view and the calmness since it's not always available in Istanbul.

Great views but, nothing phenomenal. You can use your metro card. It's a 2 minute ride down and up. Evening time was great as we saw the sunset. There are shops at top of the mountain and place for drinks.

Lovely views.. the restaurant food was average and you get pestered by feral cats jumping on your table. The cable car queue is chaotic but all worth the effort for the view

Stunning views of the Golden Horn and the city. Convenient accessibility via affordable cable car. Traditional Turkish coffee shop available with a terrace and indoor options as well (try both).

Great place to view Istanbul. You can take cable car up and walk down the hill. Views are mesmerizing. Cable car price is 12 lira which is very reasonable.

You will enjoy the spectacular view of Istanbul. You can use a teleferik to reach this place but I suggest walking through the cemetery and then drinking tea or coffee after reaching the top of the hill.

Good viewing platform. Great view of the city. There is a cafe where you can drink tea or coffee. It is better to go up on the funicular, and go down on foot.

Amazing viewpoint! When it comes to the Pierre Loti restaurant, expect it will be busy and it is hard to get a table. We sat on the upper part of the terrace and a cat jumped on our table, so I wouldn't say it is the most hygiene scene, but we still had some gozleme which were absolutely divine, and a couple of sweets, which were also tasty.

Ausblick von oben nach Haliç ist sehenswert und schön nun wie jeder andere Ort ist auch hier der Mittelpunkt des Tages nur Geld. Man muss für die Fahrt mit dem Gondel für hinauf und hinunter extra zahlen.

Publicly accessible landmark on top of a high hill overlooking most of Istanbul. Far off the beaten path from most tourist attractions, the cable car up to the viewing platform is a quiet ride, while the walk through the cemetery up the will is great for cardio. There is a small cafe next to the overlook and a few souvenir shops as well.

This view is incomparable in a radius of 3000 kilometers ( by air ). There is very few spots worldwide that are close to comparison with that one. Sit and have a tea. "May be it will all pass after we drink a cup of tea" it says on one if the signs. It does pass, go and see! After running out of energy watching this bliss, go have a potato on a stick on the way down. Yes, walk and enjoy!

The view from the top is great but I wouldn’t say that this is a must-visit place. In my opinion, the view from the Buyukada (the biggest of the Prince Islands) is superior. We waited for 1 hour to get into a 3 minute funicular. There is a metro (M4, if I’m not mistaken) from Fatih, which makes it super easy to get there and come back.

Beautiful views and cheap cable car ride up. Only 8 Lira (40p/50cents) each way and definitely NOT 80 the local man in the shop in the corner claimed. Ended up loading the istanbulkart with a week's worth of credit.

A must visit when in Istanbul. The kind of vibes that make you want to go back again and again. You can either take the cable cart up the hill or walk which is not for the faint-hearted, enjoyable nonetheless.

Currently the largest mosque in Turkey, the Grand Çamlıca Mosque (Turkish: Büyük Çamlıca Camii) is a complex for Islamic worship which was completed and opened on 7 March 2019. The mosque stands astride Çamlıca Hill in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul and is visible from much of the centre of the city. The complex incorporates an art gallery, library, and conference hall. It can hold up to 63,000 worshippers at a time (can accommodate up to 100,000 people in case of an earthquake).

There was a 20 min waiting line to take the cable carts and head to pierre lotti hill.. the scene up is worth the wait .. good to have a tea or coffe break

A relatively quieter part of Istanbul with amazing city views. Very good spot for sunset views and a cup of tea. Just a couple of minutes on cable car from Abu Ayub Ansari Razi Allah o Talha Anho Tomb in Ayup Sultan masjid.

Magnificent view!! Definitely worth visiting! And there is a tele cabin🚡 that you can take using your Istanbul card! The only problem is that it’s far from public transportations and we had to walk a bit to get to the nearest bus stop. Other than that everything was wonderful. Ps: free entrance

Best view of Istanbul👌 Every time I travel to Istanbul, I go to this beautiful hill. If you’re not up for a hike, you can take a taxi up to the Pierre Loti Tepesi or hop on a cable car for a smooth journey.

If you happen to be in Istanbul, a visit to Pierre Loti Hill is an absolute must. You go up with the cable car and at the top you have a great view and can enjoy the view in one of the cafes or restaurants. To use the cable car you need the Istanbul Card. This is the ideal place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of this beautiful city.

One of the best places in Istanbul to visit. Must visit and try teleferi transport to have more fun for the trip. There are sitting places at the edges of the hill, Where You can have hot drinks ,cake and snacks while enjoying the view of Istanbul city and the golden horn . You can also get a mini bus to reach there if you prefer to go by road.

The place is good to have a teleférico 🚠experience in Istanbul. The only problem is the waiting time which was 1 hour 15 minutes. The boztepe or the hill has cafes and restaurants at the top with amazing seating.

  • 5/5 Ishak B. 9 months ago on Google
Lovely view, you can see from the beginning of the golden horn until the end. Hagia Sophia, blue Mosque is visible. Also if you walk up or down there are some maqams of waliallah like Isa Geylani and Kaşgari brothers.

Wanted 1 hour and 15 minutes for the lift to the hill. It was Sunday afternoon so maybe the quee is not that long in weekdays. The view from the hill is breathtaking, the service in the only place where you can have a tea or snacks is slow and bad.

This a beutiful ventage point in Istanbul that is a must see. But be prepered that the line is very long and you'll be waiting for quite some time to get to the cable car. At the top you'll see the whole golden hornet and the view is outstanding. Visit the small market and drink some tea or eat something at the restauants and cafes at the top. Recommended visit place in Istanbul.

Long lines to get to the top but moving fast so didn't have to wait too long for the cable car. Very spacious observation deck at the top. Mesmerizing view of the Golden Horn and surrounding districts. Good service at the restaurant. A little pricey but that's alright. Kids loved it.

Amazing view over Istanbul. A beautiful terraces, perfect for a dinner or drink. The restaurants are not so expensive, the quality is not bad. The hill can be reached by walking (25min from Eyüp) or taking the teleferic (Eyüp Sultan teleferik). A must visit place during your stay in Istanbul. Simply recommended.👍💛

Great view, very crowded on the weekends. İ would highly recommend going during the week if you have a chance. Take a dolmuş instead of the cable car. Much shorter wait. Overall a great place to have a cup of tea or coffee. Recommended.

Such a lovely view from the top of the hill. A place to remember where the Rome army fell in love a Turkish lady. Having sahlep and apple chai at the cafe on the top of the hill with the millionaire sepctacular view... Is absolutely breathtaking... Looking at the Golden Horn... Is beautiful. Apart of the beautiful view, the only not nice view is part of the cemetery is also all the way along the cable car to the hill.

This place is highly recommended and the views are spectacular. The cafes there are very affordable for everyone. The only downside is the long line for the air lifts, but you can go up the hill by the car or the cab as well. We waited almost an hour even though it wasn't a weekend.

  • 5/5 Imaduddin M. 1 year ago on Google
Agree 100% best view point golden horn enjoyed a lot with tons of photos. The cemetery near by needs attention as it has to be to be properly secured by boundary As i saw visitors moving around then freely.... may be they were not aware of cemetery rules Best is to have a boundary.

  • 5/5 Yahya A. 1 year ago on Google
Spectacular views of the Golden Horn and İstanbul (try to ignore the fact that it's located in the middle of a cemetery). One of the best burgers I've had in Istanbul. Grilled cheese sandwich was decent as well. A little more expensive than average, but you're paying for the view and the fact that it's the only cafe with this view. Waiter was very helpful in getting us a table with a good view. It was very busy and we had to wait for a little while for a table.

Marvellous view, cute cable car ride up and a walk down is recommended. The best uninterrupted view is along the walls and impossible to get. If you are lucky enough , cherish it.Breakfast/brunch options are predictable, service is good if super stressed.

  • 5/5 Mishal S. 2 years ago on Google
Really cute place with some of the best views of Istanbul. The cemetery is colossal and breathtaking. The cable car going up is really short (30 seconds) but great. Nice cafes and street foods up on the hill

  • 5/5 Leyla A. 1 year ago on Google
The view is beautiful. There is a coffee shop you can sit and enjoy drinks while watching at the view. If you want to enjoy the area more, take a cable car and go down to see the traditional markets, beautiful mosque and enjoy the views.

It used to be more beautiful 5 years ago, we visited this place on a Saturday and it was extremely crowded, we couldn't even have tea or take proper photos... we had to carry our double stroller because there is no pace for wheelchair or stroller... I hope they fix it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I recommend visiting this place so early in the morning to avoid the crowd and enjoy the beautiful view

  • 5/5 Mahima A. 1 year ago on Google
A cute cafe with an amazing view from the hilltop. Dedicated to the French novelist, Pierre Loti, who used to come here to find his muse. Good selection of food but the desserts here are really tasty. At this cafe, you'll kinda get a French feel in Istanbul.

  • 2/5 Erol A. 1 year ago on Google
The view is wonderful! Service was not that great. When my food arrived it didn't look exactly like what I ordered so I looked more closely at it (touching it with my hands). A second later the server returned and took my plate and replaced it with what I actually ordered. The fact that they took away the food I touched makes me wonder if they gave that to another unsuspecting customer. It also makes me wonder if my food was put in front of someone else and they touched it with their hands as well.

  • 4/5 Vivien B. 1 year ago on Google
This place has amazing views. When you go down funicular area to stand is not safest. I wish there was someone helping control the flow of people going down electric stairs. There are other places in Istanbul you can enjoy amazing views, but the historic element here is fascinating.

  • 4/5 Vejeps Ephi K. 1 year ago on Google
The view from the hill top I beautiful! We went up the hill in car and was taking the cable car down! The cable car has only 2 cars going one way at a time! It takes a while to get your turn if you are there during the peak hours! Plan your trip up and down the hill! Would have preferred the dawn or dusk if I knew better!

  • 5/5 Kenan T. 2 years ago on Google
Such a beautiful place located just a few kilometers from the center. The view from the top is breathtaking but never enough to see the whole city which, of course, is massive. There are a few terraces you can drink a nice turkish coffee or tea and enjoy your time. Watch some ships sail away and not worry about catching the next train to your hotel
