We got to this magical spot through a local recommendation, after I told them we've already visited the main monuments, and we're more into exploring without any specific plan. View: Magnifique view to the Golden Horn. History: Rich and surprising. I'm into the historical cemeteries in general, and at Pierre Loti you can see different beautifully carved gravestones. And the greeneries embraced them is a real poem. We got there talking boss 55 from Taksim sq, then at the last stop we got into a van which dropped us close to the area and with 7 minutes of joyful walk in residential neighborhood, we reached there. Enjoy the tranquility of a cemetery, with a fantastic look over Istanbul.

Traditional Turkish coffee place in Istanbul. Stove is coal-burning, not gas, for a truly authentic coffee experience. Tons of stories going back hundreds of years including celebrities visiting Istanbul. Friendly staff and stunning views of the Golden Horn and the city.

Absolutely worth the visit! We just had desserts which was really tasty and finally not super sweet like in usually in Turkey. Turkis caffe was also good! We been here off season, so we dont needed to wait long for a good sit position. But if you visit in the summer time you have to calculate with the long waiting time. People mostly spend 15-40 min in one table, i dont see nobody to have a lunch or any food. Everyone just get a coffee or cay and shooting pictures and leave.

Beautiful view! We were there early morning for breakfast and enjoy the bird songs before anyone shows up! There are several restaurants and they mostly open at 8:30 am for breakfast. I wish that it was more clean! Lots of trash around it! Quite interesting to see the cemetery and old & new graves in the path to uphill!

You will enjoy here in beautiful view of Istanbul. There is no words to describe the feeling when you drink some coffee or tea on this terrace. It is so magical. The only thing I didn't like is that the waiters aren't so kind and be prepared to wait to order and to get the drink/food for a minimum 30 minutes.

Overlooking the Golden Horn in Eyüp, Pierre Loti Hill offers a spectacular panoramic view of Istanbul's seven hills. Linger here for a while and partake in keyif—the Turkish art of idle relaxation—at one of the rustic teahouses and restaurants that immerse you in one of Istanbul's most captivating locations. one of the only full menu places up there. went with the set breakfast which was pretty good but not complete (no dipping mezze except fruit marmalade which to be fair was very good). service super fast. great view of course. walk past the cafe right when you arrive (either to the the right or “up” the little hill the bisects the cafe) and you will run into this place. worth it (since you’re already up there).

To access you need to take the cable cart, using the local travel card. Or purchasing tickets at the ticket machine. There is a cafe located on this hill, That's pretty much it. Cafe has Turkish pancakes which are nice, teas and coffees. But the view point is beautiful. There is a viewing platform but bare in mind there is no shade. So we were in the blazing sun.

(Translated by Google) Everyone gave information about the hill, and I share the letter of Atatürk to pierre loti, which gave the name of the hill to those concerned. Ankara, July 12, 1921 saint monsieur pierre loti, I would like to thank you very emotionally for your kind letter of 18 May 1921, which I have received now, and I would like you to believe in the sincerity and depth of my respect, love and admiration that I cherish against your personality like all my citizens. I was very sorry when I learned your illness and I look forward to the news of your full recovery. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I am very happy to renew the guarantee of eternal gratitude that we have fed us to the friend who has not lost their trust for a moment in the darkest days of our history, at a time when defeat and slander seemed to destroy us forever. I request you to believe in my deep commitment by wishing you urgent healing. head of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk sent the letter to the paris representative of the national government, ferid (single), to be given to pierre loti, together with a prayer rug woven by martyrs in the orphanage of konya. After receiving the letter and prayer rug, Mr. Ferid sent his wife Müfide Ferid Hanım and two officers (one h. ragıp baydur) to Rochefort and handed Ataturk's letter and gift to Pierre Loti. however, pierre loti is very ill in those days. Müfide was very touched by the visit of Mrs. Ferid and the letter of Ataturk, especially the carpet weaved by Turkish martyrs. a few days later, on January 12, 1922, his private secretary, m.g.n. He wrote the following response letter to Ataturk under the name of Jean Berger: rochefort, 12. 7.1922 marshal nibs, Monsieur Pierre Loti was very touched with your handwriting to accept your letter and the carpet woven by the tears of the orphans whose fathers were martyred for your sacred cause, along with the female ambassador Ferid and his delegation. the tears don't know how to thank this high compliment. at least he should have written these thanks with his own hands. unfortunately it is also deprived of joy. He is very sick in these minutes. He was very worn and upset about the struggles he had in favor of your beloved homeland, the greek sympathizer, and the appeals of Christian Europe. so he asks you to excuse. However, the unyielding friendship of the Turkish nation comforts him. to you personally and members of your Grand National Assembly of Turkey they present their most sincere gratitude and thanksgiving. I will have done an honorable service by conveying this to you, g. n. jean berger This letter written by Pierre Loti to his secretary reached Ataturk through our Paris Embassy. However, Pierre Loti, whose disease gradually increased, was transferred to a hospital in the town of Hendaye, near the border with Spain, with the advice of doctors, and died in this town in 1923.

(Translated by Google) This name was given because it was said that French novelist Pierre Loti often came to this coffee during his stay in Eyüp in 1876. The coffee is attractively furnished with 19th-century furniture, and the waiters still serve in clothing from that era. The road to the coffee house is full of spectacular tombstones, most of which are from the Ottoman period. Kahve has witnessed and has been Turkish movies, clips, poems and loves for years ... It is very easy to reach the coffee house. When you drive from the center to your left and take the stadium, you will come to the sergeant mosque in November. When you go straight up from here, the plates will take you to this famous coffee. Or if you do not have a car, you can reach Alibeyköy, Eyüp, by walking from Eminönü and reach Eyüp. (Original) fransız romancı pierre loti'nin, 1876 yılında eyüp'te kaldığı sıralar sıklıkla bu kahveye geldiği söylendiği için bu ad verilmiştir. kahve 19. yüzyıl mobilyalarıyla çekici bir tarzda döşenmiştir ve garsonlar hala o dönemin kıyafetleriyle hizmet ederler. kahveye çıkan yol ise büyük bir kısmı osmanlı döneminden kalma, görülmeye değer mezar taşlarıyla doludur. kahve yıllardır türk filmleri'ne, kliplere, şiirlere ve aşklara şahit olmuştur ve olmaktadır... kahveye ulaşmak gayet kolay eyüp merkezden solunuza stadı alacak şekilde araba ile ilerlediğinizde, kasım çavuş cami'ne geleceksiniz. buradan düz yukarı çıktığınızda levhalar sizi bu ünlü kahveye ulaştıracak. yada arabanız yok ise, eminönü'nden hareket eden alibeyköy, eyüp otobüsleriyle eyüp' e ulaştığınızda yürüyerek ulaşabilirsiniz.

Amazing view of Istanbul and the Golden Horn. On the hill are cafes and restaurants and below you are surrounded by cemeteries. However, there is a sense of calm and surreal views. You just want to take it all in. We only got to visit during the evening, but next time we will surely visit during the day. We drove up after visiting the prophet’s companion Abi Ayub (Ayup) AlAnsari’s tomb. However, you have a choice of teleferique/ cablecar or metro to get to this amazing location. The food was good (a simple menu) and the coffee was even better. Wonderful friendly service, great atmosphere for the family and a few small gift shops along the way. Another must see location.

Stars don't really cover it. It is a picturesque spot and tourists get up there using the cable cars. It is a laid back place during the week but full of people on weekends and holidays when the weather is fine. Worth a trip if you are in Istanbul for a little longer than the normal package holiday. I have never had the food, so I can't comment on its quality. Tea and coffee are served along with the views.

I loved this cafe when it wasn’t crowded, so you can enjoy a calm conversation with a view! very affordable prices, panoramic view, simple service and it feels like this place already has a soul itself. I would highly recommend taking the cable car up from Eyup sultan camii and then walking down the hill in your way back.. we had to walk through old graves and I loved it last night!

We came here in the afternoon, there was a long queue until out of the building. We queued for approximately 30 minutes. There are 2 gondolas operated, 1 gondola can accommodate up to 8 people. To get to Peirre Loti, you only need an Istanbul card (which is usually used to take trams, buses or metro). While riding the gondola, we can see views of the city of Istanbul, the Bosphorus Strait, and even the Erdogan mosque which is far away in the Asian side area. It will look even more beautiful at night, the lights of the houses and buildings. We are in the gondola for approximately 15 - 20 minutes. Up to the top, there is a restaurant serving coffee (turkish kahve), tea (cay) and local food. When we came here, we met lots of tourists from Europe, because it was summer holiday season. If you don't want to walk down (because it is quite tiring and can take more than 30 minutes to walk), you can take the gondola again, of course just pay with your Istanbul card. What an extraordinary experience 🤩🤩

. Türkiye'yi ikinci vatan olarak gören Pierre Loti'nin o dönemde, "Rabia Kadın Kahvesi" olarak bilinen bu kahveye sık sık gelerek Haliç'e karşı "Aziyade" adlı romanını yazdığı söylenir. Bugün restore edilerek orijinal "Türk mahallesi" halinin yaşatıldığı bölge, turistik tesis olarak hizmet veren mekanlardan oluşmaktadır. Bölge, Evliya Çelebi'nin Seyahatnamesi'nde, "İdris Köşkü Mesiresi" olarak geçmektedir.

Pierre Loti is a well-known hilltop café and tourist destination located in Istanbul, Turkey. This stunning vantage point offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Bosphorus Strait, making it a must-visit attraction for both locals and tourists alike. The café is named after the famous French writer and traveler, Julien Viaud, who went by the pen name Pierre Loti. The author was an admirer of Istanbul and spent much of his time at this very café, admiring the stunning view and finding inspiration for his literary works. The café's terrace provides a spectacular view of the Golden Horn, the famous historic harbor of Istanbul, and the old city skyline, including the iconic mosques of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. It's an ideal spot to relax and soak up the picturesque views of the city while enjoying a traditional Turkish tea or coffee. The café itself is charming and rustic, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes visitors feel at home. The interior is decorated with traditional Turkish artwork, and the furniture and fixtures add to the ambiance of the place. Aside from the stunning views and cozy atmosphere, the café is also known for its delicious Turkish cuisine. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of traditional Turkish dishes, such as meze plates, kebabs, and other delicacies while enjoying the stunning views. Overall, Pierre Loti is an iconic destination in Istanbul that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Whether you're a first-time visitor to Istanbul or a seasoned traveler, a visit to Pierre Loti is an experience that you won't soon forget.

Pierre Loti is a small height in the town which provides a beautiful view of the city and sea and majestic bridge on the sea. It has small market and few refreshment point. It's easy to assess and have sufficient parking places. It is nice place and recommended for the tourists.
