Ehh, it’s nice but definitely not worth the high price tag. This resort feels out of date and like it would’ve been 5 stars 15-20 years ago. It is all inclusive, very nice staff and pretty good food. The French place is the best restaurant in my opinion, the buffet is okay. Beach is super small and swimming area even smaller. Hallways often smelled but were being worked by staff to deep clean. Campus is shared, one is adults only, the other family. That said, there are no boundaries and you can wander through both. All in all, we had a great time, but wouldn’t come back at the high price range. For what you get, take your money elsewhere

Where do I start… 1. This hotel is run down and old. This is the main reason for the low review. The outside could use a serious power wash, most of the grounds need an upgrade, and the hallways are dark, dingy, and smell like mildew. The room was okay but the bed was old and rock solid. The AC unit is out of date and when it turns off, you’re left to burn until it kicks back on. They will have some serious upgrading to do to keep up with the newer resorts being built in the area. 2. (Most) of the staff are friendly. The front desk lady checking us in spoke at lightning speed desperately trying to get us through (though she was much nicer to the Caucasian couple in front of us). But for the most part, though you can tell some of them are annoyed at their work (aren’t we all), the staff are accommodating and friendly. the problem is these big companies don’t want to pay their employees. I’d be miserable too if I wasn’t paid a livable wage. 3. The food is 2.5/5 stars. It’s bland and not up to local Jamaica standards. avoid the French restaurant all together. They have a variety of options though. 4. Careful of those sneaky fees. Many of the amenities are not so inclusive like the cabanas, private dinner, and even some menu options. You can tell they try to suck you dry for money any chance they get. 5. The pool and beach areas are beautiful and up to standard for a five star resort. The swim up bar has a lot of bees, but that’s Mother Nature for you. Overall the resort is okay, but not worth the money/credit card points. save up a bit more and visit sandals.

Besides the outdated rooms and facilities. The rooms and hallways are not clean. It has a very musky smell, which it tried to cover it up with synthetic fragrance. Then on top of that, most of the workers here looks like you owe them something. Example, I was at the bar near the beach so i ordered a club soda, the bar tender does not even look at you, as he took a glass and pour the club soda and push it to me. No acknowledgement or showing any signs of friendliness. I will not come back here again. I think the resorts in Mexico is much better. better. The hotel does have character, but come on, there is a difference between old and outdated vs. having character. Not worth the money. The rooms and hallways feel like a old and undermaintained NYC apartment.

This is not a 5 star hotel, I’ll say is a 3 stars. It will be great if the manager could invest on international training for the staff as the service needs to improve. Cleaning service can’t start at 8:00 AM as the first morning they woke us up, 10:00 AM is a good time to start. Employees must knock more than once before entering the room, as it happened to us twice. The food at the buffets is limited and some of the equipment needs to be improved in order to keep food properly hot or cold. At the restaurants they need to work faster the time you wait between appetizers and main is around 35 minutes at that point I’m not hungry anymore. The international restaurant on the zilara side was great. The pool is clean and the beach is nice. However we found cockroaches in the lobby. Overall we had fun as we traveled with friends.

This should be a 1 star, but the staff helped the rating. We booked though AMEX as one of their preferred resorts. Upon check-in our room was disgusting. For $700 a night this is not a 4/5 star hotel. The rooms are dated carpet in the hotel in itself are dated to the 90’s. Speaking to the front desk is was pulling teeth to get another room, we finally had to walk down to speak to a manager to help. On a positive he was very helpful. You can see pictures of the condition of the room. The extra star is the staff throughout the experience, they were helpful and kind in all aspects from dining to housekeeping. The food is not the best, small portions and not great quality. If you decide to go the only restaurant that was good was the buffet, but the specialty restaurants were not worth the hype. Again if you are looking for high end this is not it, the nice part of this hotel is the pool and the main fence of the lawns . The beach was clean and private, other than that the max 3 star.

The food is great lots to choose from. Services and location is good. Small beach and the hotel is huge. What they should do is put signs when you get out an elevator so you will know which direction the lobby is. The staff is great and always accommodating too

Extremely friendly staff. Good food. Gluten free options available. Junior Suite was very spacious and very well maintained. Resort premises were well kept and easily accessible. Beach was very clean and very often the staff went around offering drinks. The only issue we had was that we kept losing hot water in the bathroom. The staff was responsive to our issue, attempted to resolve it long term, and offered to switch our room; however, water pressure and temperature would go away by the next day. After 3 days of attempting to gain consistent hot water in the shower, tub and two sinks, we gave up. At the end of the day, we were happy to have hot water in the shower. Although the pressure was still not great for someone with mid to long hair and needed to rinse off shampoo and conditioner. Overall, we loved our stay! I would only recommend that there be more gluten free options like the resort in Cancun.

Excellent room and grounds. Dining offers every cuisine you could want with varied menu choices. Very talented live entertainment. Poor customer service (several staff "didn't know" manager names or what time they started work in the morning, room service took 2.25 hours, placed on hold indefinitely or no answer with follow-up calls). Night manager (Richard) did come to our room at 1:15am per my request and apologized for poorly trained staff.

We spent 8days in Hyatt Montego Bay with 2 other families. All of us had a lot of fun! Hotel Beach is gorgeous, clean and lots of different fishes. You can even touch the little ones. Room size is great! Restaurants are not bad. We like the French cuisine and beachside seafood the most! Kids club is the best we have even had! My daughter wanted to go to the club every day! Sophia in club is the best! They have lots of different activities, like nature walk, fish feeding, pizza making, karaoke party, movie under the stars and so on…while kids were in the club, adults could enjoy our quiet time. We love the hotel!

We enjoyed this resort so much!!! The service was so amazing and the butler service was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Prince, Ricardo, and Tori Ann were the absolute best!!!! I would never return without the butler service, they met our every need and anticipated needs we didn't even know we had yet! Rodney at the piano bar and Latoya at the pool bar were both so fabulous! Everyone we encountered was so fantastic!!!! Amazing at handling food allergies, our oldest is gluten free/dairy free and had plenty of options for things to eat! Gluten Free pancakes daily, gluten free pasta, etc. Getting to the resort from the airport was a breeze with the Hyatt lounge right there and it's just a quick trip to the resort!

Just back from a wonderful 4 nights at Hyatt Ziva for a senior spring break. I must say this trip exceeded my expectations! This was a fabulous resort for multiple families to vacation together. The service was over the top impressive, and the scenery was beautiful. We did not leave the resort, but the kids left for a boat ride that was arranged through Hyatt Ziva. We all felt very safe and protected. The property had staff posted at the edges of the property to ensure no one left. The grounds were lovely, the staff very hospitable, the beds were comfortable and the kids all had a wonderful time. I must take a moment to mention Ms. Nadine who took care of a large group of parents on the beach. She was THE BEST! She helped make sure we were hydrated and brought our drink orders all day. Ms. Nadine- Sarah, Brooke, and Suzanne just loved meeting you and we thank you for your amazing care by the beautiful beach/lagoon area! I will be back when my next one is a senior! Thank you, Nadine and Hyatt Ziva!

This is my first ever review to warn others to not come here. My main point of concern is the rude workers. They act like they don’t want to be here and ordering is a nuisance, even when tipped generously. The food and drinks are not good. The grounds are outdated. The entertainment is minimal and the nightlife ends early even though the loudness lasts until around 1 am. There is no leaving the resort due to travel advisories. I have been to many 5 star resorts and this does not even begin to compare to the other places. All of the other 5 star ratings are from people who have never stepped foot on another resort. If you’re considering another place or hotel go there. The weather is horrible it has rained every day for hours on end. This is my worst vacation experience and I will never be returning to the Hyatt or Jamaica.

Excellent location, delicious authentic local cuisine, spacious room with attentive butler! Perfect, picturesque paradise less than 15 minutes from the airport. Only downsides...rocks and seaweed on the beach, and pole dancing lessons in the family pool was a bit much for children. Otherwise, amazing and we look forward to returning!!

First time in Jamaica, went for a wedding. Staff was nice, hotel was beautiful, fun events, clean and good music. But the food was not tasty, or authentic. Jerk hut, personal pizza, hot dogs, and burgers were the best food on the resort. Room service also took at least 2 hours to come and when it did the food was cold. Drinks were watered down. I was disappointed. They didn’t even allow people to go out in the beach for a swim, had to stay on the shore.

This is an outstandingly beautiful resort. 😍 I spent 5 days being catered too. The Staff was caring and ready to help . It's a all inclusive resort. You can order any drink your heart desires to anything your taste buds might wanna try. They have 4 international restaurants in the resort and 1 with Jamaica 🇯🇲 dishes I tried them all. My Favorite was the Jamaican ox tail & salt fish was delicious. If your looking for paradise & relaxation don't hesitate and make your reservation. I'm looking forward to going back already. I might see you there.

The staff at this resort make the stay so enjoyable. They have taken such great care of me, made me feel safe and always checked up on me. Robert at the seafood restaurant was absolutely amazing. I can’t say thank you enough. He checked on my reservation while I was dinning, made me special shots, asked the singer to play any song I wanted and kept my drink full all while maintaining professionalism and class. Najay at the beach was so nice as well.

We had an amazing experience staying here! Every restaurant had great food and options, we ate something different every day. All the staff was very friendly and attentive! Anything we needed they would always get no matter what and they would go out of their way to do so. Davinia, Kevin, and Shanondo were all exceptionally amazing and made our experience even better. We saw them pretty much every day we were there and we would definitely return just to see them again!

Great resort. Food quality was marginal. Room was a little on the smaller side, however Swim out suite made up for that. Service was great throughout resort!

The room I received on the Club side was a little dated, tiles were a bit off for me, shower tiles could be cleaner. Great walking trails around the property, especially to get those morning exercises in! Also, it was a great sight seeing options. Food and drinks, were delectable! Flavored and just right. Buffet could use some more options, but selection was good nonetheless. Room service options are great, and they were on time with deliveries. The dessert called coconut rum cake was top tier! 👌The bellman was VERY helpful, a surprising outcome for me.

I have almost no complaints. The service was nigh flawless. The rooms were lovely and a pleasure to stay in. The grounds were very well taken care of. Their facilities are wonderful and have devoted staff (the gym and lounge specifically). The gym itself is also a top class facility. If I had to say, something, it would be that the food pales in comparison to the other aspects of the resort, it could use either more variety, or a greater attention to detail in each meal. (This is not at all to say that I was in anyway displeased with the food, but it is something they can improve on) In addition to that, the grounds are quite large and most places require legwork to get to.

Hyatt Ziva was a great experience. I stayed here twice when it was the Ritz-Carlton and they’ve made some major changes. Not even comparable to the Ritz-Carlton(as you could imagine), and I wouldn’t really consider this a five star hotel, but overall it was nice. This is a big resort between Ziva and the adults only side, Zilara but it was nice to have options. The room was nice and clean, but felt like it could use a refresh. The food was overall good, but we particularly enjoyed the breakfast at Jamaican routes and dinner at Fuzion the most. The buffet felt like a college dining hall and was a zoo at breakfast time. Also although the French restaurant had nice ambiance the food was not good- wouldn’t recommend. The desserts at every restaurant were phenomenal. The beach and water was absolutely lovely. Staff could’ve been a little more professional and accommodating but overall friendly. Gym and spa were really great. There’s a stage for entertainment that felt a little cheesy but it gave us an activity after dinner.

We have just returned home from 7 nights. I am writing a review just to praise the people at the resort. Especially Nastacia and Pamela at the upper pool waitstaff. They went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. I hope you pay them a good wage because as far as I could see, We were the only people tipping. That also goes for all of the restaurants. The jerk chicken was the best thing I could find to eat. The buffet was lacking and most of the restaurants were okay. The room was okay but the “ocean view”. Was more like a partial view. The bathroom lighting in our room needs to be updated, I couldn’t tell where I was shaving with such poor lighting. The people cleaning our room were very good and we of course tipped them every day. I got to meet Ms. Jackson by request and she was very nice. I give the resort 5 stars but just because of the great people on your staff.

The staff were exceptional. Always attentive, always so kind and gracious. They always had a smile on their faces and were ready to serve. I was blown away by how every single staff member treated you like royalty. This was the best vacation we've ever had. The room service was fantastic and fast. The food was so good everywhere we ate. We will definitely be going back.

Was a good experience with the resort. The food was good and there was plenty to do, as well as vendors in the plaza every now and then. The shower water was cold most the time and service was a bit slow at times but was 24/7. A lot to do here

Amazing resort! The place is beautiful with so much to do including activities running from day- night as well as water sports included in your stay. The staff are phenomenal, every single person is so friendly, warm and willing to help! The food could be better but the chefs at the restaurants are very accommodating. There certainly is variety- especially as a vegetarian you will always find something to eat. The pool and beach are gorgeous, perfect for relaxing whilst sipping a ‘Bob Marley’!

  • 5/5 Frances M. 1 year ago on Google
Such a luxurious resort! Beautiful grounds, amazing pools, fun pool bartenders (go hang with Lenois!) and delicious food! The beach was very pretty just wish there was more water space that we could use as it was ropped off. The only complaint I would have is that the hotel lobby was not cool with air conditioning so there was no relief when coming from the hot sun outside.

I definitely don’t have enough photos… I didn’t even think about grabbing my phone! Place is so beautiful so clean! Staff are super nice and friendly! Food is definitely great… perfect to go with a toddler! we had a great family vacation! Loved every minute of it.

Amazing!! So far best all inclusive resort I’ve stayed at! Exceptionally clean , room was beautiful, all the food exceeded expectations. All of the live music was outstanding, the staff warm and inviting. Little things I loved: how clean and manicured the resort was, housekeeping better than my own back home, friendly staff (I mean everyone)

I’m so glad I did my research to find this place. I have nothing but great things to say about our family’s experience here. The facilities, the food, the amenities, the staff all A+. All-inclusive but in the best ways. A variety of dining and snacking locations kept us fat and happy. I will return!

This resort is nothing less than amazing! Beautiful scenery, beautiful people, and amazing service! Adrian at Ziva was phenomenal when running shows, very energetic and a great person! Lanacha was great with a beautiful personality and made the pool games more than enjoyable! Highly recommend staying here

Me and my husband decided to stay here for our honeymoon and it was the worst decision we made. We have stayed here in the past for a wedding and we loved it. But this time around the experience from the check in has been horrible. We had to change our room twice and while I’m sitting here typing this review there is no hot water in our new room. They sent a service man to check he also wasn’t able to detect any hot water. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and hard. The bed are in comparison to jail beds. For a five star resort I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I’ve been sitting here waiting for a manager to call me back so we are able to at least take a hot shower and I’ve been waiting for hours with no follow up. I will never return.

Now, the resort is beautiful, amazing amenities and great selection of restaurants. Let’s be real now, this place is highway robbery, like straight robbery. Not even America cost that much and America be expensive at times. They over price everything and barley have selection of things you may want or ask. The staff is overly protective of the property to the point that you feel like you’re being stalked and harass. Half of them really only nice for the moment for tips and just act entitled for you to tip them so you know if you skip a beat of not tipping once you won’t get such a great service. Don’t do room service because your food will not only arrive hours later, it will be cold, they won’t have simple things you may want with your order like, cheeseburger, but no cheese, nachos, but no chips and cheese sauce, chili dog, but no chilli, just obvious things to complete a good meal. They charge your card for things you didn’t order or service you don’t receive so make sure to keep up with your bank account because they rob that too and be so confused on how it happen, so they be really out of order on communication with each other on getting things done and resolving issues that they create. I just think for the over all quality, it should be cheaper, but they know people still going to pay because tourists don’t have much options.

I was going to give a 5 stars, but service completely went the opposite way when we’re test positive for covid and was moved to the quarantine room. Being a Hyatt member and fan this was extremely disappointing. We were left hungry for hours because room service didn’t care regardless I have my parents with me and they’re in their 70s. We didn’t get the insurance and paid for the room at regular price and we’re treated like we don’t exist!

Best all-inclusive hotel. Staffs are very friendly. Foods are awesome. Lots of things to do within the premises. I enjoyed 6 days in the hotel extremely with my family.

I enjoyed my time. The Staff were helpful, friendly, and kind. I enjoyed the food, drinks, and ambiance of the hotel..The room was adequate and comfortable. The shows were plentiful and entertaining. There were a few cons including slow pace of room service and restaurant closings. Recommend booking reservations upon day of arrival. No worries. Will be back again..

From check in to room service this hotel is fabulous. Many restaurants to choose from for even breakfast. Food available at all times. Friendly, courteous staff and world class entertainment. Only disappointment was the long wait to be served at the French Restaurant the night we went and for 2 days 2 of the jacuzzis were not working. Loved it

I've been educated on this vacation that all other vacations we have been doing wrong. All-inclusiveness is something like I've never experienced. I loved that I was called princess multiple times. Who cares if they say that "to all the girls". Lol The employees are always humble & kind. The service is off the charts. The food is rivaled by no-one. The property is SO clean, I called for housekeeping when I got home! I would definitely give this resort a 5 star on each & every point.

We came as a group and the girls at the front desk did there best to accommodate our requests. Pros beautiful property, beaches, staff was super friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Cons: the buffet area at choices restaurant was too segmented I prefer huge grand buffet stations. Didn’t care for all the Indian selections at a Caribbean resort. Overall very beautiful hotel would return

I came here for my bday. The room is pretty nice I have a swim up room. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Highly recommend the chefs table. When it took longer to to get me checked in they were very accommodating and helpful. They decorated my room for my birthday and have me a cake. If you don't know what all inclusive is u don't pay for anything unless it's something extra. So you have have to pay for the chefs table but not any food at the restaurant if you didn't get the chefs table. That's includes alcohol. They have really good desserts as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an amazing experience with great hospitality.

This was a great Vacation! Staff went above and beyond for sure. Stacy Ann from Entertainment was amazing. She made us feel so at home with her hospitality and infectious laugh. She def went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We will def be staying here again.

What a fantastic resort. The people are absolutely amazing. You must visit Lassarna and Rickie in the Club Lounge. It is worth a visit just to be with them! Everything here is on point to the last detail. There is plenty to do right at the resort or they will help you to book an excursion.

  • 5/5 Evan S. 1 year ago on Google
Great resort. Located very close to the airport, which was nice after a day of traveling and wanting to get to the action. There are plenty of activities for the kids and adults. It's great that they have an adult only side, although it does take a bit of work logistically figuring out what to do with the kids during that time to dine at the restaurantsover there. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that they weren't able to accommodate a late checkout of the room since we had a late flight, but we were allowed to hang out at the resort. Just wish we could've had access to the room a little longer so that we could've hung out at the pool longer (then shower). All in all, great experience!

The resort was great. The staff were so welcoming and made the whole experience enjoyable. Normally, in all inclusive resorts, the food is not very good. Not here though. Chef Israil came up with some very delectable fare. Loved every minute of the stay.
