The square itself is beautifully designed, with lots of open spaces where you can sit and relax. It's a great place to people-watch and soak up the local atmosphere.

Nice place. There are some works going on in front of the UNI entrance but still lovely place to wonder around.

it's a beautiful place inside of the heart of istanbul (European side)to appreciate the architecture, the decorations and even a little for the Islamic culture.

Best place to visit, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar all in walking distance

To be clear, this is not necessarily a destination or much special in itself more than a gateway to other places. A mosque a university a view of the city and so on. Bits and pieces surrounding under construction at the moment, though you may read this years from today and that be irrelevant.

Not very crowded. A lot of guides are offering their tours there and the price could ne negotiated

Very nice experience. I am a little bit sad that we didn't visit the garden since it's under construction. So yeah garden is not available to the public since it's finish constructions

Very beautiful and chill place (at least when I was there) you can go there easy by public transport, there are places around to buy things like clothes or souvenirs

Another beautiful vibrant part off turkey from up class clubs to local shisha bars to the back streets full off food shops and clothes so on and so on. if u dig deep enough u come apon what i can only describe lil africa being from the culture it was a pleasant surprise and even decided to have a familiar local dish for lunch as i just didnt think i would pop up on another area like it in Istanbul which i did not i could be wrong but i did not spot any. all in all its a beautiful accessible place to add to the list if visiting Istanbul

Worth a visit for the beautiful, grand and old mosque.

Beyazıt Square lies to the north of Ordu Caddesi in the district of Fatih, Istanbul, Turkey. Officially named Freedom Square, it is more generally known as Beyazıt Square after the early Ottoman Bayezid II Mosque

The square is the former site of the Forum of Theodosius (AKA Forum Tauri) built by Constantine the Great : quoted from Google. Come to this square after we landed in Istanbul. Found this square with claws proximity to many interesting sites like the grand bazaar , Istanbul university and the mosque. Beautiful plz Ebro take pictures in the front of the university or the mosque.

This seems to be the place where everyone converges when coming in to Istanbul for the first time. The very first view of the place is that you have arrived. The Simit seller is there with the round breads or bagels and that’s the taste of Turkey right there. Every person I spoke to here was actually smiling and happy.

Large and peaceful square. Worth to rest a while there one afternoon.

An exciting place buzzing with activity great food, vendors and just about anything you wish to buy. Be sure re to haggle.

Great and a must place to visit if in Istanbul. So much history here. The place is buzzing with colors, gems and lively people.
