Coming from South Africa, I was expecting more from a four star hotel. It is not close to town, it is old, outdated, dirty and just overall not worth what we paid. The service in the dining hall is slow and the bread is stale. The bed is so springy that I could not sleep. The shower is tiny and does not drain, which made sense because I found a puddle of water in the middle of the bathroom floor. There is only one outlet to charge devices and the aircon does not work. There are scuff marks on ALL the walls. The fridge is broken. There is a cigarette hole in the blanket. It’s just a huge NO from me and the 52 people in my tour group. What an awful waste of money.

My travel agent booked a four star however it didn't meet a four star hotel. The staff were rude and unhelpful, got to the room and was old and dated, air con hasn't been cleaned for years. The shower was over a bath, very small and the ceiling tiles were rotten and holey. The towels were old and thin. No coffee or tea facilities or glasses. The fridge wasn't working. We included breakfast but it was terrible, food was cold and limited, however when they had a tour they got better quality food. The bar was never open. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is definitely no four stars. More 2 stars. My guess it was 4 stars maybe 10 to 15 years ago. The lobby has a weird smell. The room was okay. The air con didnt work great. It was 35 degrees. Being honest we paid less for actual two star hotels that were better. Be mindful when booking.

Don't book this hotel! It's clearly not a 4 star hotel (not even a 3 star) The beds were hard and the breakfast had almost no choices to eat.. very disappointing. Never going to this Hotel again, ever!!

If there were a competition for the worst hotel in nearly every aspect, this hotel would easily claim the top spot without any competition. During our stay, we noticed that the water pipeline ran right inside the wall of our room, and the noise from outside could be heard as if there were no walls or windows at all. Additionally, the carpet in the room was terribly dirty, and the state of the toilet was nothing short of a disaster. Even when we approached the reception for help with our concerns, they seemed disinterested in resolving the issues. To all those considering a visit to this hotel, I strongly advise you to steer clear and find alternative accommodations. This place is best avoided at all costs. Your comfort and satisfaction are worth much more than the subpar experience this hotel has to offer.

I rented a room for a family member and stayed only one night, very close to the airport, convenient in that sense, but far away from the city centre and tourist attractions. Liked the chairs outside, made it great for a night cap, lots of people in and out most of the time and a decent cafeteria. If flying in, great place to stay your first night or last night if flying out. Next time, I will book something a lot closer to the city centre

Photos oversell hotel. Rooms were small but ok. Beds were awful. I was looking forward to getting out of the bed, and had no sleep. And opportunity to sit outside was a parking lot with chairs.

I had a bad experience at this hotel. Air conditioning was not working properly, I informed reception and they said that they will fix it. I return from outside and it was still hot. Buffet breakfast was awful as well. Everything was cold and they put me separate from other guests as I paid separately for my breakfast (it wasn’t included the room). Thanks 🙏

A fine hotel for a night’s sleep but on the level of a cheap low budget hotel. Good rate for the rooms but certainly not a 4 star hotel. Perhaps it was in the 80s but the outside is crumbling in parts, lights are out and broken in the hallways, rooms have nice beds and bathrooms but only outlets are behind the TV/mini fridge and in a random spot In The middle of the room. Furniture is cheap and dated, and no coffee or tea pot in the room. Also a smell through the common areas. Confused about stars, don’t think you are getting a nice hotel by any means. If 2 stars my review would be much higher

Rooms had loud water pipes, lacked proper type c outlets that are common in any hotel in Europe touting 4 stars. Server at breakfast refused to give us an extra table to maintain our group of four. I’d recommend somewhere else, for a short stay I’m sure most can deal with these inconveniences but if you plan on a long term stay. I’d consider your options.

The worst "4 stars" hotel in Florence. AC not working, breakfast like it was taken from a dumpster. I would loved to give a 0 star rating but it won't go lower.

Terrible terrible costumer service, the waiters and receptionists are extremely mean. The hotel room was ok and clean but definitely not a 4 star hotel, bathroom, furniture and appliances are rusty and old. There is only ONE electricity plug in the WHOLE room.

Wow. This is one awful hotel. The mattress was springy and uncomfortable and old. But that's ok, you won't be able to sleep anyway, as it's right next to the train tracks. The shower is a crap shoot - cold? Hot? Who knows! And if you need the "shuttle" - it's €15 each way for a 3-minute drive. They don't tell you that, but you have to pay it anyway. So you might as well walk. And finally, can't forget the amazing customer "service". The girls at night were actually super nice. The guy in the morning was rude, curt and probably in the wrong profession. Meaning, he's not a big fan of helping customers, or being friendly. So, while it's close to the airport, don't expect much else.

Terrible place to enjoy your vacation, dirty room, no air conditioning, no extra sheets, itchy skin and mold in the bathrooms. Told about it to reception and they did nothing, they didn't want to change the sheets or change the room, nor my wife or I will ever return there. Ya

Rundown and outdated in need of major restorations. We had a pretty bad experience at hotel mirage. To start with the toilet and bidet both leaked for about 45 mins before someone “fixed” it, aka don’t use this please. The customer service wasn’t also noteworthy nor outstanding. The location is fantastic if you need to be near the airport or want quick access to Firenze Santa Maria Train station( central Florence). The tram takes under 20 mins and is only a 10 min walk away. It would benefit with some needed upgrades in the lobby, elevators and the rooms. Worthwhile to mention the towels and sheets have a really appalling odour from them Don’t recommend for more than a night or two.

We went there for a school trip. Stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The room was clean and in good condition, just like the bathroom. There was good room heating and soundproofing. The staff was friendly, and they even gave us a brochure to order from, because on the last day of our stay it was raining, and we didn't go out. The wi-fi was good, and the TV that we had in our room was also operating. The blankets and towels that we were provided were clean. The quality of the breakfast served was good too.

The hotel was very pleasant and had all the things you need. Very discounted and not too far from the centre (10 euro taxi) or short walk to the train or 1hour walk. But what I really need to be so grateful for is the staff who helped me during a medical emergency. Phillipo at reception was so helpful and the best luck that I could’ve had in that situation! All in all, pleasant hotel with lovely and friendly staff all round.

We did have some problems, but the customer service was very good in response. We checked in late and night and our room had a bit of a water leak coming from the A/C. Someone from maintenance came to check it out within minutes and told us they would move our room. Unfortunately, the hotel was all booked up. We were disappointed, but the next morning the hotel manager sat down with us and was extremely nice and understanding and did his best to make up for it. The rooms are simple and small, but they get the job done. Everything is dated, but functional. The mattress is firm but the rooms are cool and there’s a small fridge and lots of storage. The bathroom is alright and had a shower with great hot water and pressure. The view is nice and it was very quiet. No loud city noises or train. The breakfast included in your stay is great! They have a great selection of Italian breakfast options including eggs, cold cuts, yogurt, pastries and fruit!

Its awful. It stinks everywhere you go. The thermostat doesn't work even though its winter. Its isn't soundproof, i can hear every step outside my room and voices from the rooms on my right and left side. The rooms was a bit old(old furniture, old carpets, old ventilation probably not working). The smoke detector is broken.

hotel's amenities missing, lack of kettle to boil water, cups basic needs, air cond not working, staffs acting bossy.

Ok people, if you are only staying for 1 night it's ok. The smell throughout is horrible and the room was dusty. It's only 5 minutes from the airport though.

Air conditioning does not work. Shower gets burning hot whenever someone else uses water in the nearby rooms. No laundry like their google site says (may be google's fault). Keycards can open all rooms it seems because random people were able to open our doors on us.

Very close to the airport and metro, the hotel is dated but clean, and the staff are very helpful. Rooms cleaned daily. My big negative is that there was no tea/coffee machine in the rooms.

Ugly hotel, lack of maintenance. 4 stars? That’s a joke! My worst experience! Beds are from XIX century. Carpets dirties. Poor comfort. Not well cleaned. Really the worst hotel in my staying history. If you want more details or reject my comments, you have my email.

This hotel was a taxi trip in any direction, walking anywhere may be a bit too far. Breakfast was decent and the rooms served their purpose! And felt clean. Taxi can be hailed from the front desk any time, hotel bar closes at 11pm or earlier depending. It seems like it could benefit from a renovation but that doesn't make or break the stay.

Air conditioner doesn't work at all so you have to sleep with the windows open your room fills up with mosquitoes . We asked the manager about the AC he said it was broken . The parking space was full of potholes and very uneasy trying to roll your baggage across it. Bathrooms very uncomfortable small. The decoration was very old. It felt as if we where in a psychiatric ward . I don't recommend it.

  • 2/5 Michelle C. 1 year ago on Google
The staffs are very rude and breakfast feels like an afterthought (no refills, poor selection, stale bread). The only good thing about the place is the cleaning service. The room was clean.

  • 1/5 Betsy D. 1 year ago on Google
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. They absolutely do not deserve a 4 star rating. The place is filthy, the room had no AC and was next to a mosquito breeding park so the windows could not be opened. Our room was right next to the stairwell and 2 bus loads of people arrived at 8:15, banging their suitcases up the stairs as they banged their way to their rooms. We asked for a fan an hour ago and it has yet to arrive. Run as fast as you can from this place.

Worst hotel ever!!!! Mosquitos in rooms, no AC, my shower and toilet were broken, overall a 0/10. Horrible place to stay before you head to the airport for a flight. The beds are so uncomfortable!!!

Very convenient for the airport. Hotel is a little tired, but rooms are very clean. Good restaurants nearby within a very short walking distance. Very helpful staff. Not particularly convenient for the historic centre, though.

Old decor and hasn’t been renovated in ages hotel. However the room was clean and ok to sleep in. Not the best but being close to the airport is a plus if you need a one night stay. Confirming loud flushing noises and able to hear neighbors talking. Service was good and friendly.

Very pleasantly surprised by the clean modern room with a wonderful balcony and view. There’s also a restaurant in the hotel with professional staff and good food. Really made the end of my trip (last night before flying from the airport just a few minutes away) special and relaxing.

I mean it was ok for the price. Bed was pretty hard.. rough time sleeping. Toilet was extremely loud and the neighbors you could hear like they were inside your room...

  • 2/5 Akira de M. 2 years ago on Google
It was ok, bed was pretty hard and the place is quite old so the sound from your neighbours can be heard quite well. Service however was great and super friendly

One night here before our flight home. Room was comfortable, a pity the restaurant was closed. Good parking.

This hotel was nice. The AC worked. Hallelujah! There was a live band outside the night we were staying, but thankfully we were so tired at the end of the day it was easy to fall asleep ◡̈

I do not recommend staying at this hotel at all, it is old, it has tin ceilings, the dirty bathtub is clogged and you can see that it is not cleaned well because it is full of hair, the carpets are dirty and torn, the walls are still dirty and very broken The hotel has been neglected, the hotel upholstery must be centuries old because you can even see how they are coming off, the concept of the hotel is very old I do not recommend at all why it does not seem like a 4-star hotel when much of it is 1-star and not even in a A passing hotel is in the same condition as this hotel is, you listen to everything they do and say in the rooms next door, there are mosquitoes so they don't let you sleep, you hear a lot of the train passing by at night, for those who we suffer from terrible allergies because of the carpets that are very dirty too neglected the hotel, the wifi does not reach the rooms very bad and slow, the breakfast very scarce the bread they put out was all cold, they put plastic cups for you guys they don't even have v Glass handles, the hotel restaurant chairs all dirty and broken in the corners, the truth is terrible, the hotel better go to stay at another hotel I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I booked a Superior Room for my guests and noted to the property they had 2 chiwawas (taking into consideration that they declared to be "pet-friendly"). They forced us to downgrade the room to a standard one for the pets. Not only they didn't return the price difference of the room, they also showed lots of resentment for the dogs staying in their rooms. I don't recommend ever! The place is also VERY MUCH different from the pictures shown. Totally not worth 4 stars!! UPDATE - After all this mess, not only we had our guests dissatisfied, we had to change Hotel. we were promised to receive the refund of at least the second night of stay (we had to pay the room for first night, which we didn't use). It's been 10 days and we haven't received our money back yet. This hotel deserves ZERO STARS
