I was very impressed with the overall experience. The value of accommodation is not in its brilliant interior or luxurious furniture, but in the sincere consideration and hospitality of the people who run it. ​ The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are small but cozy, and they are all decorated in a traditional Tuscan style. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well appointed. ​ The staff at Hotel David were very friendly and helpful. ​ I felt hotel David like an oasis in Florence where visitors can take a relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city and feels like home. The small peaceful garden and cozy room would be the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing ​ I had a wonderful stay at Hotel David. It is a great place to stay if you are looking for a comfortable, affordable, and centrally located hotel in Florence.

We had an outstanding stay at this wonderful boutique hotel in Florence. Personal service, great location in a beautifully maintained property with all the charm and character of an older Italian building. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, including the beds and linens. The main floor lounge was a lovely option to hang out in. The self-serve coffee and complimentary refreshment area was a welcome delight, including the ability to fill your water bottle with either still or sparkling water. Enjoyed the evening happy hour with the other guests. Nice opportunity to meet others. Lovely breakfast room with a wonderful included breakfast. Highly recommend. This exceeded all of our expectations.

Oh my God! This place is awesome. We was there only one day but we will definitely return. I didn't thought that it will be even better than on the photos. Everyone is helpful and nice. We also got a city map with all the interesting places to visit. They also make a reservation in a restaurant or call a taxi if you want. Bus tickets can also be purchased at the reception. The bus stop is like 5 meter far from the building. The place is very clean and our room had also a very nice city view from the balcony. We had everything we needed. It has such a great atmosphere, we loved the coffee corner. ❤️ Also i have to mention that the breakfast was a big variety and very very delicious!! And the only place which offered free soda and snacks too! And not to mention that the whole place tries to avoid wastes and protects the environment on different ways for example with the refillable water bottles or soap dispensers. We liked everything there! 😊

Hotel David has perfected the Florence hotel experience, from top to bottom just an absolutely wonderful stay here. The owner and staff were so helpful and generous it felt like you were working with a 5 star concierge. The beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, really only complaint I could even think of is we battled mosquitoes in the room all week long. Where the hotel really shines though is the personable attention to detail they'll go through to make sure you have a wonderful stay. From arranging taxis, tours, dining reservations, bus passes (even walking us to the bus stop to make sure we got on the right one). And of course the daily breakfast buffet with delicious meats, cheeses, pastries, coffee + daily happy hour with snacks & drinks in the quaint private courtyard. This is the easiest and best decision you'll make all trip.

Hotel David was an amazing experience, and our favorite hotel during our recent trip to Italy. The staff were friendly and knowledgable, with someone always available if we had any questions. The hotel is situated just far enough away from the city center, with about a 20 minute walk along the water, so that it is quiet but still feels accessible. There is also a bus that was incredibly easy to use that picks up right outside of the hotel. There are excellent restaurants in the neighborhood where we also had some of our favorite meals. While the mattress was a little firm for me, my husband loved it and it did not take away from our stay. The breakfast that was offered every morning had a wide variety of options and was a great way to start the day. We didn’t make it to their happy hour, but this was offered every evening as well with drinks and snacks. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay and we will be returning if we ever make it back to Florence!

When I saw the excellent ratings online, I was surprised to see how reasonable the price was. My husband and I were both thoroughly impressed by this quaint and delightful hotel. It’s walking distance from the heart of Florence, the rooms are spacious and clean, and I have never encountered such a pleasant and efficient staff. When we come back to Florence, this is the ONLY place for us!

I stayed here last month and i loved it so much that i have booked a second stay for December! The staff are so friendly and kind, the food at happy hour and breakfast is amazing. The croissants are to die for, the fruit is fresh, the wine is great quality and so is the salami. The rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable. The rooms also have shutters which are perfect for keeping the sun out. I never heard any noise or disturbance. The location is just right as you are not far from the center (10-15 min walk if that) but far enough away that it has lots of local authentic Italian restaurants nearby. It also has lovely bars nearby too. Overall, i cannot recommend Hotel David enough. Thank you so much to the team ❤️

Had an amazing stay at Hotel David in January 2024 for 3 nights. We booked a superior room with a city view and balcony. The staff could not have made us feel more welcome and were extremely helpful. Breakfast was available, eggs, bacon, full continental and they had a great selection - we went every morning before starting our day in the city. How this hotel is only 3 star I don’t know, as the service and accommodation was excellent. Happy hour is provided with drinks and snacks every-night and was a great way to meet other guests. Main sights are about a 20 minute walk across the river which was perfect for us and the hotel provides info on many amazing restaurants and delis near by. I would highly recommend for a stay when in Florence and would definitely be back. Thank you!

Wonderful service, fantastic location. Very clean. We highly recommend getting a breakfast room as it made starting our day so easy. The happy hour was so wonderful as it took place on their lovely terrace (and they have blankets out there!!!) We will be coming back

Best hotel stay experience ever had anywhere. The premise is quite secured. I was able to park inside and felt safe even leaving stuff inside my car. The staff was super friendly and helpful; amazing customer service. The instructions at the check in was very clear for all you need. The rooms were pretty clean and well managed given that it is built in old building. The breakfast was pretty good and again the staff was available for any help. There was option of sitting outside on kind of terrace for fresh air. The stay included free water bottles and soda (not one but multiple) and happy hour with a drink (wine/beer) and snacks. The location is somewhat away from city center but is manageable by either walking or you have option of taking a bus (you can buy bus tickets at reception as well). I liked the location as it was away from commotion at the city center. Actually, the site for sunset is pretty close from here. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who want to stay few days in Florence; it will make your stay better by staying here. Believe me, I am real customer and not made up.

The David Hotel is wonderful. It is perhaps a 15-20 walk to the historic area of Florence, close to the river but a step back from it, making it a quiet enclave. The front desk folks are very helpful. Breakfast was great, with a number of good options - there is also a happy hour in the early evening in the courtyard with wine and snacks. There is an espresso machine available all day (with decaf options) and tea. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel has a light touch about it - it's obvious those in charge have a great sense of humor. It was, for my wife and I, the perfect launch spot for visiting Florence.

Stayed with my family for one night only and we enjoyed our stay so much that if we ever go back to Florence we'll for sure stay at the Hotel David. The staff are all incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful, and the happy hour encourages guests to gather round, wine and chat. If you're looking for a somewhere warm to rest at Florence, stay at Hotel David!

Absolutely amazing. The staff was incredible and the location was great. Free happy hour, free mini bar in the rooms, and free parking that they'll help you navigate. A twenty minute walk to just about everything. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. A very strong recommend for any tourist traveling to Florence.

Amazing little hotel with some of the best hospitality I have ever experienced. All of the staff were kind and helpful. The little amenities made our visit to Florence special; particularly the free happy hour and parking inside a gated tiny lot. The room was pleasant, clean and bright. The complimentary mini-bar was also appreciated. The hotel is about a 20min walk from the city center.

Never have I encountered a hotel with this level of service, cleanliness, kindness and professionalism. The hotel has a family-feeling and excellent chefs whom prepare the breakfast buffet which I longed for every day. The location was terrific and the transportation was really good as well. I must say that leaving the hotel was the only negative thing I can say as I just wanted to stay.

The staff at Hotel David are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Please give your staff awards! It feels like Italy when you walk into the lobby. High-quality rooms with down pillows! We used the parking which was essential for us with a rental car. The walk to the city takes 10 minutes. Highly recommend!!

We stayed three nights at Hotel David. Wonderful place with amazing staff. The rooms were quaint, clean and just a bit rustic. The happy hour and courtyard were awesome. Breakfast on the patio was great and a nice way to start each day. It is just outside the tourist crazy part of Florence yet it was easy to get to the sites by walking, bus or taxi. The parking at the Hotel was great. Will definitely return to Hotel David.

This definitely felt like more than a 3-star hotel experience! Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Room was clean, spacious, had a beautiful patio and also a complimentary mini bar. There was a great happy hour in the courtyard in the afternoon with drinks and snacks! This hotel also had one of the best breakfasts out of the ones we stayed at. Would definitely stay again.

Can’t say enough about this booking! The Hotel David is a gem! Besides being beautiful, they have the most delightful, kind, and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. They offer a delicious and plentiful breakfast in a lovely dining area, a wonderful happy hour at the main lobby and garden area, but most importantly the feel and ambience of this place is warm and peaceful. The private parking is a huge perk for those like us that have a rented car. The location of the hotel is also perfect - close to everything with very short walking distances to all landmarks. It really can’t be more perfect! I will most definitely stay here again!

Simply amazing. Reception always helpful, suggestions where to eat, to get cabs and showing the place. Rooms were amazingly clean. Bathrooms are colourful shower is very spacey with lots of room to move. I loved the breakfast with lots of choices of food. The happy hour was a nice way to relax and meet people. Definitely will come back. Additional great thing about hotel David is that they are trying their best to be environmentally friendly. The soaps they have smell nice and are locally produced. Great wifi too!

Nowadays it’s very hard to find as clean, calm and welcoming hotel as Hotel David in Florence. All the stuff goes above and beyond to make sure you have an excellent experience staying at this hotel. We had a rental car and this hotel provided a free parking, most importantly it’s right outside of the ZTL zone which was very important for us. Hotel is still very close to all the activities you want to visit in Florence. You can even get bus tickets right at the reception of the hotel. Bus stop is right outside of the hotel entrance so you don’t even need to walk much. Room was very clean, it has all the amenities. Very nice they have a Happy hour with free drinks and some finger food. Nice atmosphere, you can sit inside or outside. 5 stars are not enough to rate this Hotel. This is the place where you can feel welcomed, have an excellent experience while traveling in Florence.

Hotel David is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful. They offer free parking and even had a charger to power our electric car rental. Very eco friendly in their practices, down to the soap they provide. Free happy hour too with snacks on their cute terrace. We loved it, just a short walk to many attractions and great dining options. Definitely will be back!!

There's a reason Hotel David has such a high rating: they deserve it! The staff are all nice, welcoming, and pleasant. Parking the car was easy and they were helpful. Hotel David went above and beyond in so many little ways to make the hotel experience feel extra, special, and pampered, from the city map and restaurant suggestions, to the fabulous breakfast and minibar, to the slippers and mini fridge in the room.
