I stayed with my family 2 nights, and the hotel was everything we expected! Very close to the city center walking (lees than 5 minutes), easy to reach by bus from the main train station! And everybody working there was really kind, helpful, and available 24/7. The house is a bit old, as mentioned in their description, but well maintained and with all the services you’d expect. The breakfast was also very good, coffee being definitely the best! I would recommend Hotel Rita Major to anyone visiting Florence.

This hotel is a true gem: right next to the old Florence city centre, yet very nice prices (beer in hotel is cheaper than in some stores!). Bus station is few steps away, also some very good restaurants are in 5 minutes walking range. The old rooms are very comfortable and every day cleaned, self service breakfast with a lot of choices, the garden inside (pictured) is a perfect hidwout. No noise from the street. The staff deserves 6 stars out of 5, they are super kind, helpful and supportive. A true gem, I repeat and will come here again.

The hotel is quaint. Authentic to the culture. Very Clean. Fresh towels each day. Room was sufficient for our travel. Bathroom is very small. Breakfast served everyday with fresh Americano. Staff are lovely. Very helpful and friendly. If you are looking to be near the Duomo. This hotel is a 10 minute walk to Duomo. Which was really a nice walk through piazzas and the streets of Florence. Away from hustle and bustle. Enjoyed the walk.

Very nice location, walking distance to everhwhere and proximity to native's locations for avoiding tourist scam restaurants. Very polite and helpful service staff. Maybe the administration would only considee upgrading the room hardwares, such as towel hangers or more room to lay our stuff around the room

Our room at Hotel Rita Major had a balcony/terrace with a gorgeous view. The staff was extremely polite and the property had a nice rustic charm that was fitting of Florence. The great part was that the hotel was located only a 10 min walk from the Duomo but wasn’t in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the tourist points. Absolutely delightful stay!

the biggest plus is definitely friendly and helpful staff. the hotel is very clean. Breakfast is tasty, but not very rich and only until 9:30. Fantastic location, quiet neighborhood. I hope to come back here

Lovely no frills hotel. Simple rustic rooms with everything we needed for our honeymoon. Breakfast was a simple affair but just enough to get us started for a long day exploring the city. The staff were so helpful and gave us lots of recommendations and tips for places to eat and visit, even directions to get to places. Will definitely stay again if we can :)

A Great place to stay, friendly staff (they speak English and Spanish), close to the center 15 minutes walking to The Duomo and 10 minutes ride from Stazione SMN, they have a gran variety of pastry for breakfast, and the room for 3 was comfy

Had such a pleasant experience staying here. Staff are all so friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to have the room with a terrace, beautiful view of the courtyard and terracotta rooftops. Even though it didn’t have air conditioning in this room it was still so pleasant and came with a fan which was more than adequate. The reception is 24hour and again the staff are all so welcoming and friendly and are happy to help - even made me a cappuccino in the late evening when asked and offered to bring it up to the room. The breakfast is self serve every morning with a nice selection, staff are very attentive and refilled quickly when things were getting low, and quick to clean and clear tables and set up. Rooms are cleaned really well while you are out for the day making it lovely to come back too. We stayed for 3 nights and the price is very reasonable with it being close to all the places to visit in Florence. We will be sad to leave as we felt very welcome and at home here.

Great location in easy walking distance to major sights. Room was spacious, but there wasn’t much sound-proofing so it was loud at times. No other complaints, good service too.

Very nice small hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is very basic, but the rooms are spacious and clean and well-equipped. The location is great: 15-20 minutes walk to the Duomo, while there is a very nice pedestrian street with bars and great food just round the corner from the hotel.

Lovely small hotel, which got collaboration with parking place just 5 minutes walking away. Room was space full, but i didn't figure out how air conditioning works, check it up if that's important for your calm sleep. At all it was great experience of quality and price.

Great value for money hotel in a lovely part of Florence. The rooms are basic but very clean and spacious. Staff is helpful, professional and friendly. Walking distance to all points of interest in the city. The breakfast served was decent, too - good coffee, breads and spreads, some fruit, yogurt etc. Previous reviews complaining about the breakfast, probably don't know that Italians are not big on breakfast!

This place was fantastic! Friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms, and a cute little breakfast available to get the day started. The location was also ideal, close to lots of restaurants in the area. Would highly recommend.
