Better name for this hotel would be Hotel Mosquito. I couldn't sleep (at 4:00am), because every night in my room I was killing about 4-6 mosquitos. I was there 4 nights. Total kills was about 15 mosquitos. I have bites on whole body, even 2 on my face... I saw a lot of marks on the walls with dead mosquitos, so previous locators had the same problem. What's more, air conditioning could barely breath and was almost dead by the whole stay. Except those, in the hotel, there is free wifi, common bathroom in the hall and a lift, which had been broken almost till the end of the stay.3 stars are too much. Better have at yoooou!

When we arrived at the hotel after paying for Italy tax and for the total amount of the two days of staying at the hotel, we got in the room and realised that it was not the one that we booked via booking. It was a totally different room. It was an old style one, and the one we had booked was a new style room totally renovated. Then I got back to the receptionist and asked about what had happened and she told me that there was a problem with our room and they had to move us to another one. Also to mention that this room was on a different hotel from the one I had booked. I booked HOTEL BIJOU and they sent us to HOTEL ANNABELLA. The problem is that I wasn’t informed for the change of the rooms earlier that day or upon my arrival but after paying for the full amount at a point that I couldn’t do anything to change it. They told me that they were gonna change our rooms for the second night and move us to the one we booked. Also they offered to make us a discount on the checkout for all the inconvenience caused but at the check out I asked the receptionist for the discount and she told me that she WASN’T INFORMED from her colleagues. So I asked her to call them and find out but she seemed not so willing to assist telling me that she was not a supervisor. Also want to add as comment on this situation that the room they put us in was right next to the reception and the noises from outside was extremely annoying!

worst hotel i have stayed in. The bed covers were dirty, there was even a trace of blood. window sills in dust, heater and handrail by the sink in the dirt. we disgusted to sleep there. I do not recommend anyone

Clearly the management has changed since a lot of these reviews were written, as for the price we paid this hotel could not have been better. Perfect location, rooms basic but clean and very comfortable, with an excellent free breakfast, luggage storage service, and rooftop balcony with city views - no other two star hotels I know of can boast all this. The main star is the excellent receptionist who was beyond accommodating, very polite, welcoming and provides all travellers with a comprehensive guide to the city's attractions on a map provided. 10/10 recommend for the price!

Great experience! Hotel is exacly as explained, I would say even better, bathroom offered more than described. They had shampoo, body wash, and shower caps, which my wife and I were not expecting. I read some reviews that they did not offer towels, not true. They had towels clean and ready of different sizes. Everything was clean, bathroom was comfortable, and shower was bigger than I thought compared to others ones we have been around Italy. Great quality to value, we where backpacking and this turned out to be a great hotel, walking distance to everything in venice, specially the train station.

The most welcoming stay in Italy. All hosts are amazing and provided excellent customer service. Helping us with reservations before we arrived to recommendations throughout our trip and to finding solutions on how to best ship our many bottles of wine home. They made us feel like we were home away from home. Thank you very much guys! The location was so central and it was so easy to access all the sights. The room was perfect and clean. We will definitely be staying here every time we are back in Florence.

I had a really good experience at Hotel Bijou. The staff was really nice and welcoming. The rooms were pretty good for the price.The hotel is in a great position , near museums and all the important spots that you would like to check in Florence. The hotel also had a great view from the roof terrace. I had a really good time overall and would definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Florence again.

Unfortunately, it did not match the description provided on the booking site in any way. It does not meet the hotel standards at all. Very dirty and rude staff. When we faced the bad conditions of the hotel, we canceled it, but contrary to what was written in the conditions, they deducted the entire cost from my account, and despite many efforts, they still did not return the cost against the law.

Family owned. Comfortable bed & breakfast. Friendly helpful professional English-speaking staff. Central to all transportation modes & points of interest. Excellent view of Florence from the hotel's rooftop observation deck. Good value. --If someday I return to this wonderful Italian city, I'd love to stay here again...

Everything worked great! Great staff, perfectly clean!

The hotel met my expectations. It is perfectly situated, I liked the room, the bathroom. Breakfast was ok, there was much more than cornetto and coffee :-) I liked the helpful staff, the old style elevator really stole my heart. The terrace on the room is great!
