Listen, it's terrible service and they price gouge you into oblivion but if you want wine on your honeymoon at midnight where else would you go? Paid $70 Euro for two bottles of mid grade wine but that's the world we live in now...
Now is call Bar di ponti is the most horrible and expensive pizza in my life. Go away.
Pizza smaczna jak również wino domowe, obsługa zwyczajna, nic ekstra, fajny widok.
Cher et mauvais. 100% attrape touristes. La plus mauvaise pizza que j’ai mangé. Je déconseille fortement
Despite all of the negative reviews, I actually really enjoyed this place. We found it while walking along the river towards the Ponte Vecchio, which is incredibly close. Service was great; all the servers were kind and patient with our large group. Food was fine too; a bit mediocre for a place right on the Arno, but it was still fine. VERY expensive for the quality, which was disappointing. The eating area outside is shaded and there are many fans + misters provided, which was appreciated by my group (we were not super fond of the summer heat). Overall, this place had fine food and a kind staff, but avoid it if you're looking for more genuine Italian food at a better price.
Unfriendly, rude staff. Refused to serve an espresso. Florence has so many other cafes to choose from - to be avoided!
Just reiterating other reviews - this place is extortionately expensive, especially the ‘large’ soft drinks; stick to the small size! We were offered take away cups for the soft drinks, which they charge an additional €1 each for. Food mediocre; plenty of more authentic food elsewhere. Smiling service ended once we refused coffee, dessert and aperitifs. Unless you are literally about to have a diabetic episode, go elsewhere.
Not worth a star for the service. The man in the bar yelled at me to buy something to use toilet, although I've already had some drinks with my family. It's terribly rude.
Avoid this place at all cost. Staff are extremely rude. Food lacks flavour and efforts. Staff talk back with an attitude, lack efforts. Better to go somewhere for an authentic, joyful and respectful Italian experience. Waste of money and bad vibes!!
WATCH OUT FOR THIS RIP OFF PLACE!!! Especially if you are non-Italian speaking. Many don't want to do this but ask prices first; we paid 28 euro for a 375ml bottle of wine which commonly sells at 7 euro for a 750ml in Italy. Two of us were walking by this nothing special bar and wanted a glass of wine however I failed to ask the price first and they got me. I would not even bother with this location...it was not that nice to begin with.
Fine but super expensive
I ate here and I diarrhea myself for days. Food is unsafe. Stay away. Good luck
We missed our breakfast and hungry were walking around the bridge. The day was glorious so we sat outside. I ordered lasagna and my partner gnocchi rosè . My pint of beer came in a big jar (if that was a beer glass and I never seen anything like that before) and it was almost 10€ so bit pricey Food was tasty and staff was nice especially polish waiter The view wasn’t great due to road works
Avoid this place at all costs. This place tops the list for rudeness. My husband and I went there today, 29/09/2025. After having a coffee, we paid and proceeded out the door, only to be chased by an angry woman screaming we hadn't paid. Explaining to her we had paid, she was rude and said we hadn't. We followed her back into restaurant where the person we paid confirmed our payment. She then abused the young worker in Italian. This young lady should seek a better place to work and I wish her well. This abusive lady should not be in customer service, please leave!
Food is awful, service is awful. Very expensive. Stay away from here :(
Rip off. 2.80 for an espresso, 6.80 for a small juice
DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! RIP OFF!!!! I see that other reviews are the same. Just wanted a beer displayed at €5 and a small ice-cream @ €3.80. Not cheap but expected. When the bill came it totalled €18.60 !!!! The excuse was that we "sat down" although Italian lads on the next table paid the displayed prices first and sat down. Extortion!! Will report to trading standards and tourist board. I have been coming to Italy for years but this incident has really put me off Florence, at least.
