Very cozy place and well decorated. Attention was great! Food very typical big portions and very very good taste! Cheese with onions different and interesting. Green sauce with eggs and schnitzel delicious, specially the green sauce. Sausages really good ones

Restaurant serving traditional German/Hessen cuisine. The food was good with generous portions! The inside feels cozy and authentic. The staff was friendly. There is an inner courtyard with table in the summer. The only bad point is that they only take cash or German EC cards, it is not possible to pay with credit card or Maestro.

I enjoyed the chance to try apfelwein and schnitzel with the unique green sauce! The place gets busy after 7pm so perhaps a reservation is a good idea. Fun back patio seating area. UPDATE: I did go back and got the goulash dinner and it was just a delicious. Now this is what I would call an authentic German pub. After traveling several other German cities this spot felt & tasted like Germany 🇩🇪. Service was excellent, food authentic & hot. I was very happy. I got the half/half green sauce schnitzel & a chocolate desert with fresh hot fruit. I'll definitely try to stop by again before I leave. CASH ONLY

It is a must visit spot, where you will find a great atmosphere with excellent service, wonderful cider and gorgeous food. When in Frankfurt, have a chance to enjoy this fabulous restaurant, in the middle of the town.

Cozy German restaurant with excellent Schnitzel and Green Sauce. Reservations recommended as the restaurant fills up quickly. I was a party of one and the staff was able to fit me into one of the open spots at a table. Cash only with ATM close by if needed.

Excellent value for dollar home style local venue. Language was not a barrier for our group being Canadian. Not sure if it's a high street Frankfurt thing, but most businesses like this one only accept cash, but a quick dash to a ATM solved that.

If you are looking for a place to have typical Frankfurt food, this is the place in Frankfurt. They have all typical dishes from the region and the taste is very good and authentic. The staff is very friendly and they speak English. The place is always full in peak hours so better do a reservation in advance.

Wonderful authentic place, serving the famous “green sauce” and delicious fresh beers and Cider. Generous portions, especially compared to what I’m used to is Asia :-). Although the interior is warm and cozy, the outdoor area is better and bustling. Unfortunately we couldn’t fit in anymore. Need to go back and try again.

The food is amazing. The staff is available to assist you and we did not have to wait long to have our food. The prices are lower compared to the average but this does not harm the quality of the food.

Stopped in on a long layover on a Monday afternoon. The place was filled with (what seemed like) locals. Apfelwein and food was tasty and the guys on the staff were very friendly and helpful. Green sauce was a new taste for me and I'd get it again.

First thing - CASH ONLY Excellent food,service and atmosphere. The apple wine is crisp and thirst quenching. The beer is excellent and a typical brew of the region. We share the half schnitzel, eggs and boiled potatoes in green sauce; the liver dumpling soup; and the cured pork shoulder with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. The portions are generous. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is located a 15 minute walk from the cathedral but with the walk.

Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 Dropped in on a Saturday night without a booking. Thankfully there were only two of us, so they could fit us in. Cannot recommend more, the staff were friendly, the food authentic (and delicious) and the prices reasonable! If you are visiting Frankfurt, I would recommend adding this to your list, and making a booking!

Service is exceptionally good, in fact one of the best I've experienced in Germany for the past few years. Hidden gem with great prices and smiles. As a person that is stingy, when we say price is good it is good k! English here is also perfect! Will definitely bring friends and family here in the future as my favourite place to introduce German food

Food was very good value and the most tender leg of pork I've had in a long time. Just make sure you book - and then..... Don't be early or late or you'll be in trouble

Authentic German Apfelweinlokal with great Schnitzel and a variation of additional local and regional specialities. Attentive service, fair prices. Nice courtyard for warmer weather. This is where I take guests from out of town if they ask for a German meal. A+!

Pretty reasonable prices considering everything I ordered. Good friendly service. Learned I'm not a fan of apfelwein, but that's not on them as I don't like wine in general. Just tried it pretty a friend's recommendation.

Herencia you can find typical German food, starter handkäs I tried and I recommend it, sausages really nice and the main dish With Green sauce called Grüne Soße halb und halb. Great place and good service.

Delicious pork schnitzel with Green sauce. I asked for pommes and it was accommodated which is great because the serving of boiled potatoes as on the menu is somewhat insufficient.
