Small place with only 6/8 seats available per serving. We were the only 2 when we went there so it was definitely a very relaxing dinner. The food is really good with some of the dishes being tastier than others and I would recommend to try the homemade drinks that are available.

Hohe Erwartungen, die leider nicht erfüllt wurden. Irgendwie scheint das Menü seit Monaten immer sehr ähnlich zu sein. Geschmacklich so lala und oft nahe an geschmacksneutral. Die Bedienungen sind nicht wirklich kommunikativ. Und beispielsweise für einen halben Becher Tee in mittelmäßige Qualität über vier Euro zu zahlen ist schon sportlich. Zubereitung und Geschmack passen teilweise nicht zu den Preisniveau. Bspw. 1. Gang: Reis schlicht verkocht. 5. Gang: Ente - zäh und nahezu roh und max 1 min neben den Räucherofen gehangen. 6. Gang: „scharfes Curry“ - war geschmacklich ein großzügiger Klecks Curryketchup (Curry 36 macht das besser) mit einem winzigen, winzigen Stück Perlhuhnkeule. Getränkekarte ist preislich nicht angemessen.

I have never thought of tasting Japan's gastronomy outside of Japan but he does. And it is amazing his real occupation is not a chef (but architect). I guess creating food is same as creating atmosphere. Good details come into great result. Currently only opens Fri & Sat evening but it is spacy enough and recommend to quiet and long evening seekers (even group of people) !

If anything the atmosphere was a bit muted, the staff is very friendly but not very talkative and overall it was somewhat quiet, which didn't bother us, but it was definitely different than most restaurants we have been to. I guess this depends also a bit on the guests at the specific evening. Overall a great experience and we will go back.
