This was our first time trying this establishment. We had high hopes, especially for a BBQ restaurant in the south. Sigh- Daddy D need to let a cousin or other family member take over. The BBQ sauce, apple sauce, and collard greens were delicious. That's all folks!!!! The Mac and Cheese tasted like it was seasoned with water. The Brunswick stew...I have no words. ALL and I mean ALL the meats were so dry you would be better off eating peanut butter and saltine crackers. The hush puppies should have told us they were hard and dry and we wouldn't have ordered extra. If you choose to eat here, ask for extra sauce you will.need it. We weren't able to finish our meal, it was too much. We ordered pizza instead. I wish them well and hope they get better in the future.

First time trying this place. I had the brisket plate an husband had pulled pork plate. Both meats were cooked well and the sauce options were good. The FF were a bit cool and not freshly cooked. Fried okra was pretty good. We'll come back and try again.

Recently got to try the tacos for their Tuesday special and they were delicious. Decided to try one of each (brisket, pork and chicken). They were all good but brisket was definitely my favorite. The fresh pico and crema on top were also great. Pro tip use the extra crema to dunk a side of the Jalapeño cheese fritters in 🔥Can’t wait to go back and try their other BBQ offerings. Updated to add another awesome to-go order. The burnt ends and fried green tomatoes were amazing! We also enjoyed the Mac Daddy sandwich 🤤

Daddy D's is the best BBQ in Fuquay! We are always treated with excellent service and the food is amazing! This is our family's go to BBQ joint and we love the atmosphere. Great place to come hang out with the crew and bring your fam at the same time. The owners and staff are amazing. Shout out for the Burnt ends! They make sure that your food and service are top quality. They have awesome catering and have serviced a few school in our area and they love it. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Rode out to Fuquay Varina NC to check out Daddy D’s BBQ. Convenience location just on the edge of town. Very friendly staff with great service and delicious food. The peach cobbler was amazing!

Found this place after our walk to Lanier Falls. Wings, ribs and beef brisket were good and the fried okra was awesome. Easy to find from hwy 55.

9/23/21 it was Phenomenal. Such a DELICIOUS spread. The food made an impact on my life! I keep thinking about the next time I’ll be in Fuquay again just to come here! They were speedy fast, understanding of our children and very helpful and accommodating. The hush puppies- oh man. There are just not enough of them! The way Daddy D’s makes them, I could eat an entire basket full. Heck I wish they served them the way Olive Garden serves breadsticks!! The smoked and fried to order method is finger licking good and I cannot wait to return with my family! Thank you for a spectacular meal.

Wanted to stop by to try this restaurant out, so i order take out. Sadly I wish that I had went else where for dinner. Rotisserie Chicken was well done, Mac & cheese had a lack of cheese and seasoning. Also the collard greens were not good and had large pieces of the stem still in them(see photos). Very disappointed in the quality of food. All the reviews on here seem good but it makes me think they are deleting the bad reviews. 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely delicious! Great little local spot to eat some great BBQ. Pulled pork is my favorite. We’ve had the pleasure of having Synae as our server each time we’ve been there! Such a great young lady! Will be back!

This was a grub hub oder 7/12/23 @ 5:49 pm The fried okra was great, pulled pork also great. The ribs was good but the pit master needs to not use so much starter fluid. Or needs to let it burn off more before loading. Slight taste of it in the ribs. The burnt ends had a great flavor kinda small pieces but still a good portion for the price for todays inflation. Also some them were way over cooked and tough as leather. Still I wouldn't throw them away. The meatloaf also was really good. The other sides were good and good portions. The cornbread fritters taste great but wow they were soaked with oil. For $149.00 I really expected better. Sorry. I hate leaving these kinds of reviews but when I spend this kind of money I do expect better.

We just moved here from Wisconsin, so I was looking forward to some amazing BBQ and Daddy D's definitely delivers! I personally loved the Burnt Ends, as well as the Fried Green Tomatoes! Only thing that I felt could have been improved is the mac and cheese, definitely needs to be saucier, and the cole slaw could use more a vinegary kick. Will be back for sure!

Huge portions! The bbq was good!!! Collard greens were not over cooked but just right and I love the sauces. Will definitely visit again when I’m in the area!

Was pleasantly surprised by the food here. I personally had the Mac Daddy which was more food than I could personally eat. But my party did agree the food was a bit bland. Similar places you only need a little sauce to compliment the flavor, but here I resorted to dipping my entire sandwich in sauce. The good news is that the sauces are great. But the flavor was definitely lacking. Also the Mac & Cheese & Coleslaw seemed 'plain'. One of the staples of any BBQ place is their sides. Here, the sides didn't taste homemade (Not that they advertise they are) and were nothing to write home about. Maybe I'm spoiled by other places having some downright delicious homemade sides. Regardless of the few flaws, I definitely can see myself going back here. The food was good for the price, and the sauces were great! Note: Inside is a 'sit-down, menu given at table' style restaurant. This caught me a bit off-guard as usually local BBQ shops are 'order at the register, and pickup when ready'. But this is more of a standard sit-down experience.

Stop doing with my husband for a quick lunch date! The atmosphere is great gives a nice country Vibe very clean and well-kept. Our waitress Melanie was very friendly and gave fast service. We enjoyed the pulled pork barbecue, collard greens, baked beans, and a slice of turtle cake for dessert. We really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Also they offer a 20% military discount so we're always greatful to the pro-military supporters!❤️

What a great spot. Littler hidden but well worth it. BBQ is delicious service was excellent and atmosphere was great for a good brisket! Definitely recommend

(Disclaimer: I know that I am reviewing hot dogs from a BBQ place) I had to give the hot dogs from my local BBQ place a shot and they were solid. The slaw was legit (of course from a BBQ joint) and everything was nice and hot. Fries were a bit off, but still okay.

Love the smell of wood burning as you walk up to the front door. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Love all of their appetizers and lots of sides to choose from. The burnt ends and brisket are my favorites.

Sliced brisket didn't have much flavor or moisture. That happens to brisket when it wasn't made today. The burnt ends were better but certainly could not compete in Texas. The fries were crisp. Hush puppies were spongy. . . Which makes me believe I was eating leftovers again. There are competitions for sauce alone, and the sauce here would win it's share. Nice people here, but the beef is not with it.

Have you ever had that experience of asking where is the food that I ordered. Well, this is one of those. Today I stopped in for a quick takeout order. After looking over the lunch menu I choose the Burnt Ends plate with the Mac and Cheese side. After getting home and sitting down I opened the box to see hardly no food there. I received 4 burnt ends, 4 hush puppies and a small order of mac and cheese. Now some might say 4 burnt ends can be quite a lot but not in this instance. The hush puppies were bigger than the burnt ends and they were small too. I only wish that I had taken a picture. Flavor was good but the burnt end were tough, hard and chewy. The mac and cheese was ok but nothing to write home about. The star of the show was the hush puppies and they were complimentary. Total Price was just over 10 bucks and not worth the price. This should have been sold as a snack for 6 - 7 bucks. I will probably return one day but by far this is nothing to write home about.
