Lately it looks better and better, even though there still are large portions that are rather wild. Taking into account that the garden is very large, you can easily spend hours walking. The planetarium and aquarium is amazing. Lake is looking nice!

Placed in the Botanical Garden, surrounded by old trees and a lot of beautiful flowers, this museum is an interesting tourist atraction, definitely a place to visit, when in Galati. You can learn a lot about natural history, see a variety of interesting exhibits and they also have a dhome with live butterflies!

It's no Cosmocaixa but it could be. The outdoor part could use a revamp as the signaling of plants is lacklustre, the alleyways have no discernable directioning purpose, but the rosarium is splendid when all the roses are in bloom. The Japanese garden is a bit underwhelming and the upkeep is not ideal. The live fish exhibit is lovely, There are several permanent displays and a few temporary ones. The greenhouse is undergoing a massive reboot and, hopefully, it will bring in the crowds. All and all it could be way better, hopefully the people in charge will visit other natural science museums and will take a clue or two from there.

Things to see: aquarium, some stuffed animals, rocks, insects, a beautiful botanical garden (including a fish pond) and a temporary reptile exhibit.

I was there with the kids in early June. It happened to be a hot day. No AC inside the pavilion made it kind of miserable. The place is ok, but honestly nothing to get excited over. The butterfly exibit had 2-3 butterflies inside. The aquariums are nice.

Nice experience, given the fact that there are not so many turistic attractions in that area.

Really good experience, a lot of children, still in development. The planetarium is only open between 20-21:00 hours and Monday Wednesday, Friday, also if the sky is clear. There are some things under construction at the moment

Clean and interactive museum but not so many exhibits. They should invest more in exhibits lights and way of exposure.

I hope this garden will get much more attention in the future. The Japanese garden was pretty, I really appreciated the work for the lake and the fish, but the rest of the garden was more like an old park with usual trees, nothing to catch your attention. I will give 3 stars instead of 2 because of the sensorial alley, it is a nice practical idea to connect with nature and I really loved it

So nice and cosy inside. A little oasis of environment, nature and animals. The ground floor hosts a small aquarium area, the first floor an exhibition of once ferry boats in Romania. I feel nostalgic about it since nowadays it's outrageous not to find one in the area of Galati, so please, municipalitity, do something about it. Tourists want to explore Danube by boat. Launch a ferry line with a daily or weekend tickets for people like all the European towns on rivers or sea have it. I live in Trieste on the Adriatic Sea, in the north east of Italy. We have daily regular lines here for residents and summer lines for tourists. Still on the first floor, you can enjoy the Romanian fauna and flora with a recreation in classical pictures and scenes and also digital puzzle for kids and large touch screens where you explore animal sounds. So funny for children. Third floor and Planetarium. With a group of minimum 5 people you can watch one of the stellar shows projected on the ceiling. Nice and interesting. I would suggest to have an English version for visitors, just in case. There is a souvenir shop at the entrance. And outside a butterfly exhibition starting from May. It seems a successful project financed by Phare for border countries, so well done!
