Food here is unbelievably delicious! The Owner cum Chef Zam is a very humble person. His innovative Sri Lankan dishes are extremely fantastic. Being vegetarians, this place was the best in all of Galle. We visited a couple of times when we stayed here and will definitely go again when we are back in Sri Lanka next time

What a fantastic (small) all you can eat restaurant in the fort. You can choose from 7 veggie and 1 meat curry plus various accompaniments for 1800 lkr. Extremely well made curries, the beetroot and the aubergine and cauliflower were delicious. Do get some of their home made ginger beer which was standout amazing.

Unbelievably delicious. An all you can eat bargain! I went back for seconds and could barely walk when I left I ate so much…5/5🀀🀀The chef is so friendly and explains what is in each dish. The fruit curry is probably one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Don’t forget about the ginger beer which is also amazingly delicious. So friendly and such a cute little spot. I would not hesitate to send anyone here.

Delicious all you can eat curry, with absolutely fantastic homemade ginger beer. Perfect place for local cuisine at VERY affordable prices in a tiny little cafe with friendly service. In the heart of Galle Fort.

2 nights in Galle, had to go here to sample it at least once. Food was delicious, help yourself buffet style, as many times as you want. Home cooked rice and curry style with Dahl etc, washed down with a hinge made ginger beer. Great surroundings and atmosphere. I was the only one here - off season and all the dishes were very fresh and tasty. Thoroughly recommend. I left very full indeed.

I am vegan and out of the 6 curries on offer 5 are all vegan so it's a brilliant option for vegans. It's buffet style eat as much as you want for 1850 rupees which I thought was great value considering the quality as well. The curries were absolutely exceptional.. so flavourful.. I have tasted a lot of different curries all around India and Asia and these were like nothing I had tried before! And the homemade ginger beer.. honestly the best I have ever tried without doubt. For only 550 rupees you can't go wrong but honestly I could've downed the entire thing instantly! The manager is so sweet and helpful explaining all the dishes and what each is made of. Please please visit and support this gem if you are in the area!

If I could give more stars, I would! This place is a hidden gem in galle fort! If you are looking for good, quality, Sri Lankan food, THIS IS IT! This is my third time to Sri Lanka and this has been one of my most favorite meals here. The set up is buffet style so You can choose from a variety of dishes to get the ultimate Sri Lankan mealβ€” full of flavors, the perfect amount of spices and aromas, and just overall yumminess. The pumpkin curry, eggplant curry and organic chicken curry were my favorites. My husband and I both agree that we felt like we were eating a home cooked meal. The owner was very nice and super passionate about food, which we appreciate, because we are too!! We will most definitely be back again!! β€”katie and Akash, USA

Delicious home cooked curries (it’s like an all you can eat buffet). Jackfruit and mango curry were my favourite. The food was not too spicy.

Very small place with only 5 tables. 4 curries, eat as much as you want. The curries were delicious, so was the coconut sambol. Highly recommend. Don't forget to order a handmade ginger beer. You won't regret it!

Fantastic restaurant! You have to go! Each curry is really fragrant and full of flavour. The secret ginger beer is also wonderful. Staff working there is really passionate about what he is doing. Simply the best rice and curry that I had in 16 days in Sri Lanka.

This was by far the best Sri Lankan meal we’d eaten all holiday. The flavours were out of this world and extremely tasty. Great place to go if you’re vegan as all but one of the dishes was a vegan dish. The homemade ginger beer was extremely refreshing and went well with the curry. This restaurant is an absolute must if you’re visiting Galle!

The owner Zam was very friendly and described to us each of the curries he prepared. Unlike some other curries that I've tried at other places in Sri Lanka (which lack flavor and were too salty), Zam's curries were most flavorful and simply delicious. The homemade ginger beer was refreshing too!

Great place to taste local food. Theis offering is simple: it’s an all you can eat buffet with several different curries, all except one vegetarian. Their local during speciality is home made ginger beer Go there for an authentic experience or if you can never decide what to get (because there is really only one item on the menu) All you can eat buffet for 1850 LKR (November 2023)

Lovely traditional local buffet - all you can eat served in clay pots any plates. The menu keeps changing every meal depending on what’s local and fresh and chef Zam explains it all so well. We ate young jackfruit, leeks and beetroot and carrot-cabbage vegetable and organic chicken curry with rice. The food was fresh and excellent and we kept going back for more. Highly recommend to all in galle. The winner was the super fresh drinks - ginger beer and a cinnamon coconut milk- yummm!!!

🌱 Absolute gem for vegans and anyone gluten free! They also offer a meat curry as part of the buffet. The fruit curry is still my favorite curry in Sri Lanka, the taste is fresh and really really delicious. πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ There are 6 curries and 5 are vegetarian/vegan, they will rotate the curries depending on different seasons, there will always be a coconut sambol, coocnut oil and coconut milk dish, Rifkhan, the chef there will go through and explain each dish to you and he is an absolute delight! The rice is also very flavorsome with spices and turmeric, overall an absolutely great spot to stop for lunch or dinner while in Galle fort. πŸ˜‹ The ginger beer is the best Iv'e ever had, fresh ingredients and very refreshing after a walk around Galle fort in the sun. πŸ™Œ The atmosphere and feel to the place is also very nice, relaxing and Rifkhan made my dining experience so great, he will engage in conversations and loves to learn and share, he is very kind and got me talking to other customers also, great place, great guy and good vibes! πŸ”Œ There is also charging ports for anyone who wishes to use them for wok or charging your devices. An amazing little pitstop during your travels around the fort, it is a small place and that makes it cozy and gives a home like feeling. πŸ‘ It is 1850rs for all you can eat buffet and I think thats very fairly priced, given the location an high quality of food and service. Theres a cafe right near too which is worth checking out, again very nice people! (cafe 82) Much love β€οΈπŸ™ πŸ“Ί There’s a video on my YouTube where Rifkhan explains all the dishes! πŸ˜ƒβœŒοΈ(TravellingKook on YouTube) enjoy!

The reviews are true! It was a wonderful community-like experience due to the cosy setting. Like we are a large family eating home cooked food from our tribe received from caring individuals who love what they do. I was happy that my friend and I were the first to arrive at 1+pm on a Saturday so we got first dibs with an explanation to each dish. But shortly after the whole restaurant was occupied and they even set up a table outside to accommodate the waiting line. There were people also waiting when we left. The food of course was flavorful, a lot more than how my plate looked. There was rice, sour fruit curry akin to acar with lots of gravy, pumpkin and sweet potato curry, lentils, cabbage curry, coconut sambal and chicken curry. The neighboring table loved their ginger beer, which we heard had generous amounts of ginger. The price was 1850 SLR already inclusive of tax. It's the most affordable all you can eat I have found in Galle catered to foreigners.

Brilliant food. Very simple, as much as you want of the Rice and 5 varied each day vegetable curries plus one meat. Wonderful flavours with various spices. One tonight was Mango and Passion fruit πŸ˜‹. Ginger beer is the real deal, never had anything like it before. Have been in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks, and have had some very good food. This might be the best of all.

Delicious authentic food of rice, chicken curry, vegetables and sambol. The chicken was tender and wonderfully cooked but the curry was a little thin. The vegetables were carrot, jackfruit and leeks. Alone, they were OK but all together, they made the meal. We also ordered their homemade ginger beer which was tasty but I can see it being too sweet for some palettes. And the coconut and vanilla drink with cinnamon. It was tasty but too watery and thin. I would've liked it thicker. The food is expensive compared to other local food we've eaten and not that much better. The place is small and has a cute vibe. It's also nice that they change up some of the dishes at lunch and dinner time so there is variety.

Absolutely amazing!! Couldn’t recommend this place higher. A variety of delicious curries are served in several clay pots, in a buffet style. All freshly prepared and cooked just after sunset in abundance. All of the curries have their own unique wonderful flavours and they were all vegan!!! (Except for one dish which was chicken and kept separate). The local owner and chief came out with a big smile and explained what each of his creations were then we went at it. All you can eat at a very reasonable price. Also the homemade ginger drink IS absolutely to die for.

First thing do not get mislead by overrated reviews on Google and Trip Advisor. Food never felt that fresh , Carrot curry felt spoiled, Coconut Sambol is very Poor , it's a shame if they say it a Sri Lankan coconut sambol , I believe made with wasted coconut. Chicken Curry was very poor . Rice was Fairly good , Pumpkin curry tasted good . Rice and Pumpkin, Beetroot and Carrot Curries and Sambol and Chicken average quality and Choices, highly priced LKR 1850 per person. All you can eat - but nothing to eat Place is Little Cozy place located in famous Galle Fort . Indigenous Sri Lankan village kitchen look is there . They Homemade Ginger Beer is Tastes excellent. That's the main attraction of the place.

Delicious food at a great price in the traditional fort town. All curries were well-prepared, uniquely spiced and the house made ginger beer was especially tasty. There aren’t many tables, so arrive early or, if full, it is worth the wait!

The tastiest rice and curry I’ve had on the island. And the have a very special ginger beer, definitely a must try. The food is fresh, it’s 7 different dishes everyday. The place is cozy and the owner and staff are adorable. Don’t hesitate, just go

So so glad we came here! The chef is very passionate about food, the menu changes daily based on local seasonal ingredients. Everything was delicious, we had to have second servings, and we’re really full but we’re already planning to come here again tomorrow. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The best rice and curry we had during our travel in Sri Lanka! There are approximately 7 curries to choose from, mostly vegetarian with sweet potato, Dhal, Mango, Coconut, Tofu and Chicken. The used spices taste really good and not same old, same old like with many of the other rice and curries we had before.

Good variety of curries. You might find a bit cheaper curry buffet somewhere else but it's just max 1 €/$ difference. And yes, the ginger beer is good!

This place is a must to try while you are discovering this little walled old town Galle. They have a great selection of curry that is suitable for vegetarians as well. They have at least one choice of meat. My favorite are tofu curry and the amazing tasty banana and eggplant curry (I didn’t know that this combination could be so damn good). The service is also great. They go beyond for you to feel like in heaven when you try their curries. Not too salty neither spicy. I confess that every single spoon worth the price you paid.

Eat all you can buffet style for about 980 Rupee per pax. The dishes in the pot are reheated a couple of times and serve out, less fresh. A little pricey if you wanna taste local food. Not a must to try, can easily skip. There are better local food along the streets our of the Fort.

I was here for dinner, they serve rice and four curries and sambal. I fell in love with the banana and aubergine as well as the mango one. Very very delicious food! They also serve very fresh juice. The dinner is buffet style for 1000 LKR per person. The place itself has a beach, very well decorated.

πŸ‘ The place is in galleface fort overlooking the ocean. If you like to enjoy the sea breeze while having your meals I would say that this is a great place to be. Gets easily crowded and therefore would recommend to go at a odd time than the usual lunch dinner times. Reasonably good food but personally...
