We couldn't find the entrance to the cafe from the street at first. Only later did we see the path to the beach covered in animal feces. The first impression: A wooden barracks with wooden chairs and benches. The plank floor is a bit worn, as are the palm leaves. Next to the cafe there is a place with garbage and rubbish. As soon as we sat down, dogs and cats started creeping around us. The dog could only be removed after repeated requests. In the end the cat was on the bench with us. Prices like in a 7-star hotel (latte macchiato in a coffee cup for 1100 rupees)

Very nice and friendly staff, the food was flawless and made from fresh ingredients. I had the best meal here in Sri Lanka. I can only recommend. We rented a surfboard here for a good price. Accommodation super clean in order. I would love to come back here.

Good place to enjoy good music, food and the beach.. We loved the vibe there. "Foreplay" played good acoustic music. Also there's a gentleman called "loku aiyya" humble human being. Thank you "loku" we will see you again.

Great place, well worth a visit! Staff are super friendly and they have the coolest dog on the beach. My wife and I went one evening for food which was really tasty and then went back the following morning for a surfing lesson. Ask for Loku - had a really fun hour learning and his English is excellent. Highly recommended!

We were here in September :) the staff were incredibly friendly and had lots of tips. We organized a lot of things for us, from a tuk-tuk to a scooter and even went out to eat with us. Breakfast was great. Mohammed was a great surf instructor! The only negative thing is the somewhat old bathrooms. There was only cold water from a weak shower. This didn't bother us much after surfing.

We discovered this place because we wanted to go to the coolvibes hostel besides this place and we never got. an answer from them for our booking request. In the end we prefered this place, as the owner Haschu was always caring: During blackouts he provided is with candles and for preparing Cocktails, he immediately jumped of his surf board to prepare the nicest mango or pineapple daiquiri! The room was basic, but if you have the beach in front of the hostel - that rents boards and provides best Surfing lessions: what else would you require? Very nice place to stay over night. Had nice talks with the owner of the rooms and a beautiful view at day and night from the terrace. Directly at the beach and friendly guys.

Nice surfers' cafe with delicious food and helpful staff. Try to order cooking of the whole fish with garlic sauce. You can have a dinner just near the sea under the palms.
