I was very excited to try this chain for the first time. The shop in front is great, lots of knick-knacks, toys, sweet treats and more. I ordered the fried chicken 🍗 for which they are famous. The large portion of chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Mac and cheese was on the dry side and the broccoli 🥦 was undercooked. Chicken pot pie was fantastic, as were the biscuits. This is a very casual place that is good for bringing kids. Honestly meals.

A busy Saturday, yet seated promptly!! We had the breaded country style fried pork chops & Sunday Fried chicken breasts. The breading is an absolute delight! Crisp-n-flaky, yet it doesn't fall apart. Warm Cornbread & biscuits melted nicely when real butter was place on it. Yum! 😋 They even got me more Gravy!!!

I have never been more disappointed with a resraraunt as I was with this Cracker Barrel. The food was mediocre at best. I have eaten at military chow halls whose food had more flavor. The best part of the entire meal was the french fries, and they were barely warm when we go them. We decided to split a hamburger steak which is normally great comfort food, but this was an unflavored piece of ground meat, and thats it. We also decided to try the Hashbrown Casserole Nuggets. They were nothing like the item on the menu. The menu indicated they had bacon and cheese, but these just had cheese melted underneath them and bacon thrown to one side. Unfortunately, this was not the worst part of the visit. We'd eaten only maybe a quarter of the meal, and the waitress asked how our food was, and I let her know I was not very happy. Her response was something along the lines of, "Oh, I'm sorry", and that was IT! Then, when we paid, the guy at the register asked if we enjoyed our meal, and I simply said, "No, not really". His response was the same, "Sorry about that" and even that was not very emphatic. We have eaten at Cracker Barrels all across the country and I can easily rate this the worst we've ever encountered. Stay away, and eat somewhere else.

We visited the Cracker Barrel during a road trip through Gallup, NM on Hwy 40. Easy to get to and nice parking. The country store has a variety or treats, candies and home goods. The food is American comfort food but the shining star of this location was our waitress Lisa. She was amazing. So nice and helpful. I was having trouble with the menu because I did want a large portion of food and she helped me pick a perfect amount of food. She checked on us often and was friendly and personable throughout our time there. If I lived closer to Gallup, I would eat here often just so I could sit in her section. Thank you Lisa! You made our visit very memorable!!!

I usually don't mind the food here. and I love the atmosphere. however, my last few visits have been terrible. one, I got food poisoning from the burger. it was awful considering I have a relative who swears by the burgers. my most recent pick-up order, I got well-done pancakes. burnt if I'm being honest. such a waste. hopefully, they can redeem themselves. my family enjoys cracker barrel as a reliable place to have a meal. fingers crossed

We went to Cracker Barrel for dinner last night. We both ordered the sirloin steak with various sides. Both steaks were cooked as ordered and were tender and delicious, not a bit of waste. All the sides were delicious as well, both plates were cleaned with no leftovers. I recommend Cracker Barrel. We'll be back!!

This was absolutely THE BEST location we've ever been to! Our server, Isaac P, was wonderful and attentive and all smiles. When he was "stuck" explaining the entire menu to our neighboring customers, another server, Adam, didn't hesitate to check to check on Isaac's tables. He, also, had the same great attitude. The food was hot and super tasty and the biscuits were the best we've ever eaten at a Cracker Barrel. This is the first location, in two years, that we were NOT told "we're out of that". We're traveling and the serving was so big, we had leftovers for breakfast.

So we stopped here traveling back to Arizona. It was very busy but our server was great and the food we ordered was good too. The disappointment came when we got home. We purchased a "fresh" pie from the store. Get home to find it was already 2 days out of date! So can only assume the food coming out of the kitchens is fresher.

Gosh, I don't normally eat like this, the food is super heavy. I ordered the chicken and dumplings and there were only 2 small pieces of chicken and 4 dumplings the rest of the dish was gravy, so my dish was mostly gravy. It was good but heavy and I wanted more protein. The fried apples were yummy but the corn bread was hard and over cooked. Service was good, our server was nice. I just don't think this type of food is for me.

Food was delicious, staff were friendly. I had the fried chicken 🍗 with taters and sweet carrots. The sweet tea was the only thing lacking, wasn't very sweet this time, but otherwise everything was spot on

The food was delicious and our server was great. There was a bit of a wait but we spent time wandering the gift shop which had lots of unique clothing and accessories. There was also fall and Halloween items.

Stopped here for dinner on our way to Santa Fe. The food was great and the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean too which is a plus!

Cracker Barrel is always a tasty place to stop. The Gallup NM location is no exception. The staff is all nice, and there was no issue parking our small van there overnight. There are about 4 RV spots behind the building near the two close hotels. We always make sure to ask management to double check and have never had issue here. Its a great a place for breakfast in the early AM too!

We did take out, but didn't expect food to be average. We have loved every other Cracker Barrel. When we got our food back home, we were missing our sauces and the apple butter that you pay extra for.

My server was great. She was very nice but the food wasn’t quite the same. The fried okra was very cold, the steak was over cooked, and they didn’t have biscuits available during the entire visit.

My dining experience was about as you’d expect from Cracker Barrel. I ordered the fried chicken breast with a side a mashed potatoes and green beans; all of which wasn’t all that great. I prefer breakfast from Cracker Barrel.

All these years of eating Cracker Barrel, why have I not had the chicken tenders? They were way above any others. Tender, juicy, savory, tasty. I have a new fave!!

Ive never got such a tiny portions of steak and hash for my all time favorite "Country's boy breakfast" This is experimental resraurant, they say. I guess experiment is how small portions may go. Does not work for me. Highly dissapointment. Ill avoid this location from now on.

Corey is awesome at the Gallup Cracker Barrel. His knowledge of the menu is superb. The customer service was great and much appreciated. Thank you for your hospitality. I will be back.

Last night we had dinner and everything was delicious. We all ordered chicken dishes and the grilled chicken tenders came out so tender and flavorful, the crispy BLT sandwich was great, the mashed potatoes had a lot of flavor and the corn bread was hot and slightly sweet. We felt like compared to other Cracker Barrels, the cooks put a little more love and effort into the meals by how everything tasted (it had more of that special, home-cooked taste). Corey was our server and did a wonderful job. He was very professional, friendly, and attentive. Please tell him thanks again from us!

This was our first time having Cracker Barrel. We were traveling from Colorado back to California and stopped in Gallup NM or gas and food. The food was amazingly delicious and prepared perfectly. The service was great and friendly. It was a bit of a maze from the front door to the hostess station but everything else made up for that. We will definitely eat at Cracker Barrel whenever we are near one.

I had no idea that Cracker Barrel was having employees police the mask mandate. Totally ridiculous. With no proof that masks actually even work and all the proof that they don’t, it’s unfortunate that this location has people attempting to enforce the governor’s dictatorship. Its unpatriotic. “Adults are required to wear a mask here.” Yeah ok. The managers should be ashamed of themselves. You can have a sign to uphold the state mandate. But you don’t have to police it. I love Cracker Barrel but will never return to this communistic location. I feel bad for the staff. Everyone seemed miserable. The energy was horrible.

We were told we could get a table outside with our 2 small dogs. After waiting patiently for 30min, I went inside to check on the status of our table. The hostess then changed direction and said they didn’t allow pets. She called her manager for assistance and her manager informed us that the outdoor tables were closed. No idea why the hostess misled us when we specifically asked for an outdoor table for 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Poor communication. Very annoying.

I've generally enjoyed Cracker Barrel meals, though meals there are limited as I live far from one. This was an exception. I had a favorite of mine; chicken and dumplings. I've loved it in the past (and been greatful that it was very inconvenient to get) but that meal was way below par. The dumplings were chewy and heavy. While the chicken was fine, the poor texture of the dumplings was a disappointment. Service was fine and the sides, baked potato and broccoli were good. Hopefully, the next time I happen to be near a Cracker Barrel, it will be better.

Came here for breakfast and it was delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffle and it hit the spot with some louisiana hot sauce. Their service was really good. Friendly staff and always checked back at the table to see if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend this place.

I love the chicken and dumplings. I've had them in every cracker barrel I've ever visited never disappointing. Service here was excellent didn't like that I had to wear a mask until I got to the table but I guess those are the times.

Food is always yummy, service is a hit or miss, luckily this time it was fantastic! I wanted a couple of pies but was told they didn't make any!??? If you're not up to making pies, then why on earth would you advertise it!??? I gave you 5 STARS only because the food was good & the service was prompt but for the pies I give you ONE STAR...
