I give it a 5, bc the price is excellent. The location seems sketchy. But it was actually safe & quiet. Even tho the train runs right next to it. I couldn't hear it from my room. And the linen plus towels were very clean. Clean room overall. The beds were very very comfortable. Slept good. Staff was nice. Just in that deserves 5 stars.

Unless you are desperate for a place to stay, look elsewhere. Hasn’t been updated in a while. The people are nice and the room I’m in is reasonably clean, but the neighborhood is sketchy. I’m a professional truck driver and I’m in a motel most every night. I won’t be back to this one. Follow up - no bed bugs. The bed was saggy but usable. The carpet needs to be replaced, but is reasonably clean. The bathroom/shower was clean and functional. never want to throw anyone under the bus. If you’re desperate, this will work. Note: there are some much nicer hotels near the intestate. I discovered this as I was leaving for Barstow CA.

We truly enjoy the stay here. Rooms was very nice. Service was great and friendly. I did hear the train a time or before we went to bed. But was one on my best night of sleep I had had in a while. Thank you

Horrible experience! You get what you pay for here and we should have known better! It smelled like cigarette smoke as soon as I walked in, I asked the woman at the front desk if we were getting a smoke free room and she assured me we were. We got to the room, it smelled like cigarette smoke and there was a trash bag covering the smoke detector! There were stains on the carpet and both chairs. The fridge was not plugged in, smelled horrible and was full of water! The faucet at the bathroom sink was loose, water was dripping from the faucet at the tub. Don’t plan on a good nights sleep, the train went by every few hours and was extremely loud. Window sill was filthy with dirt and dead flies. When it came to breakfast we noticed they were serving bagels & cream cheese, the cream cheese was not on ice or in any type of fridge to keep it cool. The towel rack in the bathroom had not been cleaned and had residue on it. We also found an old empty Coke can under the AC along with other trash that was left. This place needs to be shut down. Don’t bother, pay the extra few bucks and go elsewhere!!!!

I needed a fridge for my medication. The one in the room didn't work very well. When they say breakfast is over at 9 they aren't kidding. There wasn't even a crumb or a bottle of water or even coffee at 0905. The town shuts down early Saturday night. All the restaurants are a little ways away from the hotel unless you want McDonald's. Had to cross an active train area for the most direct route. On the way back from the restaurant, Got stuck for over 45 minutes waiting for the trains to do their thing. Had to backtrack and take an alternate route. I was not familiar with the roads and wound up getting on the interstate which took me 3 miles off route. The hotel was quiet for the trains being near. The proprietors were nice and friendly. And for a hotel that does have smoking rooms, I a non smoker, was happy I could not smell cigarette smoke

Quick stopover on the way cross-country. We got in at 1am, showered, and left by 6am. Disgusting place. Food on the floor, vomit in the carpet next to the bed, spaghetti sauce? on the bathroom wall. Only good things were clean sheets and good water pressure. Didn't try the breakfast - wasn't about to leave another pile of vomit in the room to not be cleaned up.

We have stopped there several times when we are going thru Gallup. We are always happy with the service and our room. Staff is very helpful and tries to accommodate any special requests. Clean Rooms, good breakfast.

I have 5 children and a large dog and it's hard to find decently priced hotels that have beds for 6 people, clean rooms, and allow pets. The room we stayed in had 3 queen beds and a twin, a clean updated bathroom, and plenty of space for my dog's pop-up kennel. Breakfast the next morning was a plus. It's kind of a weird location but felt safe.

Rooms were clean. Room had FOUR beds, which was amazing for my big family!! Breakfast available in the morning. We will definitely stay here again on our next cross country trip.

This place looks good on the website. So we pulled in after a long drive place looks decent from outside but we got our room it's located in the back. The door from outside to scan your doesn't work on both sides of the building. Parking lot is really sketchy literally there is no lights in the back of the building there is no cars in the parking lots no security for the hotel and I feel like my car is unsafe parked in the parking lot. The rooms are nasty carpet dirty, smells like old cigarettes and fridge doesn't work.. Overall I'm never staying here again.

Management was very friendly and courteous at check-in, but I need to write this review, my first ever for a hotel/motel in 50+ years of traveling the world. The room was in need of maintenance, including the bathroom. Electrical outlets in the room are very worn, making them inoperable, and inhibiting me from using essential medical equipment. I predict there will be an electrical fire in this room due to the worn/loose electrical receptacles. PLEASE REPLACE ALL RECEPTACLES before someone dies in an electrical fire! (I have an electrical engineering background.) If you want a good night's sleep, this is not the place for you. Trains run on the adjacent railroad, blasting their horns throughout the night. There were no coffee/tea supplies, nor were there cups. Residual coffee from a prior guest had not been emptied from the coffeemaker. The rear hallway door was unlocked, and a vagrant slept the night. I have no issue with someone needing shelter from the cold, but his food was spilled all over the place, and his presence prevented anyone from using the stairs. My wife was afraid to exit without me. As I left, a young lady with a baby was leaving, and I felt the need to protect her departure. Breakfast was limited because some of the product was "hidden" in the office and not offered.

I would say this place is okay. But if I were you I would go somewhere else. I was reading the reviews and I didn’t think it was that bad. We stopped here because we were coming back home from Colorado and this was our halfway spot. When we got here, there were people outside who looked like gang members just staring and kept going back and forth that was the first red flag. Second red flag was the lady at the front desk she was rude and seemed off, she didn’t look 100% there. Once I kept going down on the reviews that people have gotten robbed, my sister and I took turns on sleeping to make sure no one robbed from our car. The next day when it was 6am for checkout, we did it fast. (Quick hint too: don’t eat breakfast from there, while checkout we noticed the lady wasn’t wearing gloves on handling food. She was touching her hair and then the food with her bare hands.) I would say look for somewhere better to stay.

I wouldn't even give 1 star. Everything is broken. The lamps, the outlets, the heater, the furniture, nasty something on the wall. Slamming doors all night long. Homeless woman. Camping on the steps in hallway. Worst motel I have ever stayed in by far. Save your money go else where.

Front desk experience was really great, and bathroom was clean but it 2ent down hill from there. Very busy railroad tracks right across the street, noisy all through the night. Room smelled. Lights didn’t work. Trash everywhere in the hallways. Homeless lady hanging out in the indoor stairwell. Security doors busted. Trash in the closed pool area. “Breakfast” was laughable.

I couldn't have picked a worse hotel. Totally in the ghetto. Everything was dirty and nasty. Why a big company like Wyndham would even consider this dump is beyond me. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. YUUCK

The rooms are dated but ours was clean. The bathtub had a huge patch on it that was starting to peel up so I chose to skip the shower. The hallways needed to be vacuumed. The front desk people were not friendly but they were also not rude, just indifferent

I have been here two or three times on my way back and forth from California and Oklahoma. Family owned, always very friendly. I just wish they had a better breakfast selection in the morning. But you can't really complain about that being a free breakfast.

The room looked remodeled recently but it was dirty. Under the night stand was a bunch of trash and there was some ants in the room too. The owner was very sweet when we called for our reservation and at check in

We came in yesterday and front desk employee was polite and had my information and reservation no problem the rooms are comfortable and the sound of trains soothed me to sleep I had a wonderful experience and give this place 5 stars

I am so glad I stayed at the Super 8 in Gallup, NM. The manager and her staff were kind and very helpful. I loved my room. It was lovely and large. I have never rested so well when I've been away from home. And a huge bathtub to soak in. You will be very glad you made reservations here

I booked a room here I didn't necessarily stay here. They were trying to double charge me for the room. The manager was nice and polite when she called me to clear it up but that doesn't excuse them from trying to steal from me, the worst part of the experience was the smell, of the lobby. I just didn't have the stomach to argue with the guy about it,

Not the best experience. When we went to the room, the air conditioner was not working properly. Manager was reluctant to give us room change. Finally after more than an hour settled into new room. Better than first but not the best. Breakfast was very meager. Also train nearby. Wife said slept like a baby. Awake every two hours

Wish I'd have known that the Hotel was less than a hundred yards from busy rail line. The AC was buzzing. Other than that the property was clean and the staff courteous.

The room was clean. Used the washer worked, the dryer didn't work, and they needed a sign on it . But the people were nice. The breakfast was okay.

Online reservation and asked more than once about a pool as my wife relaxes by swimming. Yeah they had a pool but closed in the winter. The paint in the room was scraped up, stained, the sheetrock by the shower was coming apart and the bed spreads were stained.

The clean room had some nice amenities, but the bathroom light wasn't working nor the bathtub plug. The ice machines are broken, so you have to get bagged ice from the front desk. The breakfast in the morning was fine but had no hot options, peanut butter, nor non-dairy milks.

The room wasn’t bad for $62.00 but she made a mistake for $620.00. It was the weekend my fiancée is a semi driver that being on a debit card basically drained our account leaving nothing to be done for 5-7 business days. Totally leaving us screwed for fuel to make it to Ohio. She was the owner could of make it right with cash on Saturday by going to bank, she didn’t. It wasn’t right, she was rude and unfair with it being her mistake. I’ll leave it there.

Stay here if you don’t mind getting ripped off. Room was 62.00. My card was charged 620.00 by mistake she says. Well it’s Monday night and this was last Friday still had not went back on it. No reason for it! Would never stay there again. When she realized she should have just let it go through and gave us the money. Instead of playing waiting game. What a joke ! They should lose their franchise after seeing all of the other reviews. Don’t do it.

Steer far and wide of this place unless you enjoy being eaten alive by bedbugs. Seriously. Woke up at 4am to crawling and burning on my neck and shoulders, hands burning from the bites (I'm allergic). My daughter noticed she'd been bitten all over as well. Health department will be notified. Our room was infested and had to debug all of our belongings at the end of our trip. Pay the extra few bucks to stay literally anywhere else.

The room was ok. Glad they allowed our small dog for $10 extra. The breakfast was good. Didn't think it was worth the price though. Bring your earplugs because the train is close and blows early in the morning.

Though across the street from the railroad tracks it hardly matters since anywhere you stay along I-40 will have the same issue, the beds however were fantastic! No frills and a good price. If you can sleep through the train noise (I counted 8 from 10pm to 6am) youre good to go

I had gotten a smoking room with a king size bed. It was the softest most incredible comfy bed ever. It was even comfier than my own bed at home! I HIGHLY recommend going to this hotel. Not only was it cozy but I was able to comfortably have a quiet night to myself surrounded in comfortable pillows as well! 2 Soft, 2 Firm pillows. It was incredible! I hope to be able to come back! ♡
