A very nice & peaceful nature preserve spot. You can go fishing, Rock hunting, take long walks/runs. The best time to visit this preserve is in the summer when all the wildflowers bloom

Decided today was a good day to walk a new trail, and this one did not disappoint. Nice area to get a good walk in.

My family loves this nature preserve! There are tons of trails and places to explore. There are two parking areas off Holford road. The north parking lot takes you to unpaved trails. The south lot takes you to extra wide paved trails. We typically see birds, squirrels, armadillos, etc when we hike.

This hidden preserve is very nice. The trail is long and very, very shaded. We didn't have time to complete the trail because it was very long. This is the perfect place to take your dog for a very nice walk. The restroom is locked, but there is a portapotty available. Overall, this is a very, very nice nature preserve. I definitely will come back to this very, very nice place again.

Pretty scenery, though not a huge area on the North side. The South side is a bit longer of a trail. Trail is slightly overgrown in some spots, and there are felled trees in many places throughout. The creek is pretty to look out, but be careful as there is a 20 foot sheer drop in some spots. Other than that, not much elevation change, it was quite flat. Tree cover provided lots of shade. Highway noise is quite loud and distracting, since it's adjacent to PGBT. As some others have noted, there is an abundance of litter (I even found an entire shopping cart in the creek). If I were to compare it to, say, Barton Creek in Austin near Twin Falls or near the municipal pool, I would say this area doesn't hold a candle. Though it may be one of the best walking trails in the DFW metro area, all things considered.

One of the better hiking parks I've been to. Theres plenty of small trails, large paved trails and the creek to check out. We joined their volunteer group to help do some cleanup which happens pretty regularly on the weekends.

Nice trails to walk they used to be better long time ago before they had the great idea of adding more trails and cutting trees it’s better to walk on hidden trails than in the open. I don’t visit it that often anymore. You can still spot animals if you are lucky

Great walk. About a 2mile round trip, but the hills make it feel like more. Great workout.

The trail was nice went walking with my dog Athena. We started on the concrete trail then went into the dirt trails that lead into the woods. The trail has some nice views you just have to find them. Despite everything it was quite with alot of shade and some trails were along the creek so that's a plus. So yeah I rate it a four star not bad for a short trail.

Not the best park around for a walking trail amongst the other parks in the area but if you don't need a fancy long trail with a grassy meadow view then sure it serves its purpose.

I really love this place and have been going here for the last 20 years . . I saw a coyote and a raccoon on my last visit . . My only complaint is the way people trash this place

If you want to hike this is not it. This is literally a paved walking trail. Someone made like side trails but doesn't really go anywhere.

Such a lovely little thicket of forest, right in the middle of the hustle & bustle of the DFW... quiet trails, nice diversity of plant communities, & well maintained... the trails are easy enough for beginners to trek through & interesting enough for experienced hikers to enjoy. Wonderful place to visit.

Fun to go off trail and wonder around. You won’t get lost and it feels secluded for being near the city. Although do not recommend wading in the water… there are literally leeches 🙃

An incredible accidental find right in my own back yard! I happened upon this preserve while out walking the Central Trail in Richardson, TX; which is a paved trail that ultimately intersects the Spring Creek Trails and Renner Trails. The preserve is absolutely beautiful, and it is easy to forget that you are still in the city. The trails are paved and easy for people of all fitness levels and there are a lot of places to have a seat, rest your legs, or even have a picnic lunch. There are a few scenic overlooks as well, which I admittedly found surprising given it's location between Richardson and Plano, TX. I've never driven there, because I prefer to walk everywhere, but given the Central Trails and Renner Trails both intersect at this area, I find it really easy to to get to.

I visited this place for the first time recently on a weekday late in the morning. When I first arrived, few vehicles were in the parking lot and there were still plenty of spider webs across the dirt trails. TIP: Wave a light, long stick in front of you when walking between plants that are very close to the path to knock down spider webs, otherwise your face will catch the webs. During my walk, the amount of people walking increased. I didn't see a trail map near where I started, but the place isn't large enough to get lost. Walkers can stumble upon a concrete trail or use a navigation app on their phone to return to where they entered. The trails are easy, and there is plenty of shade for much of the trails. Part of the preserve runs along a major creek in the area.

This is my go-to spot whenever I need to escape the daily grind. There are plenty of paved and off trail paths to explore, many benches and downed tree trunks to rest and reflect on as well as a neat little stream with accessible banks to chill on. Bring military-grade bug defenses and check the Google Maps live visitor stats because at times it can be really busy!
