Bamboo Briyani

Restaurant

👍👍 We found this place whilst walking through little India in George Town and decided to order the bamboo briyani chicken and lamb set with some lemon ice tea. Omg the flavours were amazing and I ate every bit of it and was so full by the end of it. It was 33 rm in total for the two sets and two drinks... People often mention chicken, bamboo, briyani, good, mutton,

Screwed service, they expect us to eat only whatthey have. No choices. Very ignorant waiters. 2hen asked to pack balance food, they give us plastic containe and left for we have to pack ourselves. Pls refrain form visiti g this place. For the management - you are in service industry and you are not giving away food for charity, 4his teach your staffs to be more respectful to customers.

Mutton and rice are well cooked but still need to improve the amount of curry paste(kuah ) added on briyani. It was way better and tastier last year, 2020. Now it's not as good as it used to be but still gives a little satisfaction and fullfill stomach.

Tasty and moist bamboo chicken beriani(rm16) portion small , clean ambience. Banana leaf must try with vathal kolumbo (sundried sundakkai vege curry) damn tasty. Chicken varuval was spicy and tasty too. Only 1 out of three vegetables along side with banana leaf was tasty, hence 4 🌟. Service was fast and good. Price reasonable.

Very poor delayed service(~2.30pm).. For this big size, only two people doing the work. Food is ok. While payment the cashier asked any drinks, my response was "ordered but not delivered to table". Cashier was just smiling without any apologies.

The taste of this Indian restaurant is so authentic. Highly recommended, the drama of the Curry rice from bamboo just so yummy. Highly recommended. Parking can be challenging, so be there early.

Definitely recommend coming here. The food is good and we didn't have to wait long for it. Briyani was full flavoured from the bamboo, with tasty condiments. Mee goreng was okay, very good value. The Dosa /Thosai was really well made and well cooked, we had the Masala Thosai. Recommend Briyani and Thosai for any first timers, Chicken/Ayam and Mutton/Kambing were both fantastic.

Best Chicken biryani I have ever had. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting George Town. Everything we tried on the menu came out hot, fresh and flavoursome. Great for singles, couples or family.

This is hands down one of the best spots for the chicken and mutton biriyani. We came across it by chance being in the area, and I'm not sure why it's rated 4.1. The guy who served us was friendly and the food came very quickly. Honestly, the taste was absolutely delicious, and we immediately ordered a second round straight after. There were really good prices, and the spice was perfect. We had the chicken and then the mutton biriyani.

First time trying Bambo Masala Biriyani and it was very flavourful and delicious. We came here twice in the trip just to get the chicken Biriyani!! Highly recommend this spot for amazing biriyani!

The briyani is delicious. Highly recommend both the mutton and chicken. We didn’t get to try the others. The masala thosai is also very good.

Their mutton biryani, cooked/steamed in a bamboo vessel, is divine. Their other dishes look equally tempting. I've been there twice in two days and intend making it thrice in three days. Recommended!

This is my second visit. First we left the shop due to lowsy service. Thought it might have changed by now but even worst. The waiter didn't even bother to clean the table and request us to seat. We were standing for almost 15mins and ended left the place. Definitely will not go again!

I happened to stumble upon an Indian Restaurant that specialises in bamboo Masala Brayani cooking.

The bamboo briyani is very fragrant, especially after being cooked in the bamboo segment. It is served hot on our table and is accompanied by papadam, pickled cucumber and chilli paste (of sorts) by the side. You have a choice of chicken, mutton or fish curry (or a mixture of all three!) to go with your briyani rice. We had the mutton briyani and loved it, especially after mixing with the mutton and fish curry. We also ordered some side dishes from the stall to go with our meal. The restaurant is relatively clean (but somewhat old) but parking can be a challenge, particularly in this part of town - so be prepared to park a bit further (like we did) to enjoy a delicious meal!

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
