If you love Belgian waffles, this is the place to go to in Penang. Thick waffles that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside are served in a large variety of creations from the sweet ice cream and fruits to the savory smoked duck. These fantastic waffles can be washed down with a variety of coffee, tea and fruity carbonated concoctions offered as well. In addition to food and drinks, the cafe also has a dedicated section to eclectic goods from stationary to home decor and everything in between. The owner and staffs were very welcoming with friendly greetings and goodbyes. The cafe is located in a heritage building that still retains the charm from simpler times, and serves as a getaway from the madness of the modern world we live in. I want to make a special call-out to the friendly resident feline that's very good tempered, and sits next to the entrance welcoming visitors akin to a prosperity cat. I'll be looking forward to my next visit for the food, ambiance and cat.

Come for their waffles - crispy and yummy - complemented by their creamy ice cream. Portions are big thus it’s definitely meant for sharing. If you are a cat lover, you get the bonus of petting the house cat - Luna. Sweet friendly clean cat.

Warung in Indonesian is an eatery or cafe. At first I thought it was a Muslim cafe but I got that wrong. Once inside the first thing you would smell is waffles. The smell alone is tempting to start ordering asap. 😋 Some merchandise is sold as well and one of my fav products is sold there.#analogue I am getting hungry and ordered more than usual. Half boil egg with toast. Appreciate the kaya and butter are served separately. Mushroom and avocado toast is also on the list. Last but not least is the climax of all, waffle with banana and chocolate. Super yummy. Btw, dark choc ice cream on top. I better skip lunch for today. Note: halal / pork free

Need to be very focus when you pass by the shop, else will easily miss it. Nice environment, feel spacious but with limited seats. I visited during lunch time and is kind of hot, not sure is there any problem with their air-conditioning system. The food was amazing. Waffles were so good. 😋 Coffee was normal, not sure will there be any latte art on their hot drinks. Carpark is limited, need to search around the road side (public parking lot). All depends on your luck. Special note, they have a cat inside the cafe. To those who scare or allergic to cat, might need to take note before visiting. There are few merchandise they have there for customer to purchase. Example like clothes, candles, oils, small plants, wooden cutleries and many more.

Second time coming here and loving their waffles a little bit too much! The waffles were crispy outside and very fluffy inside. Do give this place a try if you want to eat good waffles. The waiter was also friendly and the service was quite fast. Even tried their smoked duck rice bowl and loved it as well. Will come again to satisfy my waffles cravings 😋

I order a bowl of salmon teriyaki with rice. The taste was so so only. Probably i shuld try the waffle as it was recomended mostly by the reviewer here. The resident cat was sooo cute..lazying around the cafe. There are few local products for sale too at the cafe. Maybe next time i will come again for their waffle and brownie

Hidden gem in Penang. Be careful when u drive as you may miss out the cafe signboard as its quite in hidden spot and difficult to find parking spot too. Nevertheless, beautiful cafe and instagrammable deco. Love the ambience, despite the size it was cozy inside the cafe. The owner was very kind and welcoming. Thumbs up for the service. Tried their pasta it was good but their waffle was the BEST. Don’t miss their waffle guys. The fruity waffle tasted so good, crunchy and the sweetness was just nice for someone sweet tooth like me. Overall great dining experience and affordable price too.

Very nice and cozy little cafe. Waffle was delicious too. Such a beautiful cat they have.. the cat kept biting and licking my bad..😅 staffs were very friendly, interior decor is a mix of heritage feel with modern minimalism. They also sell little things at the front after the entrance.

A lifestyle store with a cafe and Common Ground is on the second floor. Ambiance is nice and quiet. You will be hosted by the cat - “Luna”. She’s one-eyed cat with attitude and very lovely once familiarize with her. We came in a group, seating wise may not be suitable for bigger group but just nice for one or two persons or up to four would be good. I had their newly launched waffle - Citrus with passion fruits, orange and oolong ice cream. They just launched it today. It’s quite refreshing but the portion is huge, could shared by 2 diners. Creamy tomato shrimp noodle and Rosella tea were good. Their signatures are the waffles if you’re into waffle ice cream or waffle sandwich. This is a nice place to chill out and relax.

A nice place to hang out for tea or coffee time. There is a cute cat in the cafe. Friendly staffs. The waffle 🧇 is a must try. I tried their Rich waffle contain kaya, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and granola. Super nice combination of Malaysian taste. Parking is hard in this area.

Wonderful place full of character. And good food. Sunday morning breakfast with family was filling, tasty and relaxing. We ordered a hot white coffee and two of their signature cold drinks named Summer and Winter. Excellent drinks. Well presented, too. We had two of the savoury waffles - chicken and duck breast. Both were very tasty though one set of waffles bordered on being over browned. The waffles were fluffy and smelt delicious. Good size as well. The pasta with a tomato based sauce and duck was superb. The service was excellent and attentive. The Warung also has a neat little shop area that has some interesting bags and gift items. Hope to come back soon to try another waffle sandwich.

The best place I have ever seen. very welcoming and Friendly staff and they have a lovely cat (Lona). The waffle is amazing you can't get enough of it. I will definitely come back when ever I visit malyzia again.

First and foremost, Luna the cat is super adorable, it kept us company throughout our brunch 💖. The food was scrumptious. We had the chicken ham waffle and smoked duck pasta. I would have never though that smoked duck and spicy garlic pasta would go well together so it was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful atmosphere—very chill, felt like a nice space to escape to. They also had small trinkets and stationaries for sale at the front of the shop!

A quaint little place where you walk into a bit of shopping followed by a cafe. Nice place to sit and chat to enjoy your food. Parking can be extremely horrible if you are just going for this cafe. There is the pay per entry place which is a short walk away. The common street side parking is based on luck.

Rustic little cafe with awesome waffles. IG worthy too. Crispy on the outside, soft inside. Definitely worth coming back if I have the stomach space. Best for sharing. The tea is decent too but the waffles is the star here.

Truly one of the best waffles in my opinion! I really loved the waffles from The Owls Cafe and I must say that The Warung is as exquisite. The price was reasonable considering the portion was big - I shared it with two of my friends! Taste wise was delicious and I like the consistency of the waffles, it did not get soggy when it’s cooled down or when it’s smothered in ice cream. Would definitely recommend those who are craving for good waffles in Georgetown! 👍🏼🤍 Ps: The spot is not too spacious so it can get a lil bit too cramped during peak hours!

They serves mainly waffles and coffee. Does have different variety of waffle to choose from. Not a waffle fan but it taste not bad. The cafe setting are mainly PG old heritage building style, does have air condition. There are less than 8 tables but fortunately is not very full at the time of visiting. The are booth for some gift or handcraft item solds at the entrance of cafe.

We went on an early Saturday afternoon and surprisingly there wasn't any crowd. Their Waffle was okay but nothing special to shout out about IMO, though plus points go towards the cafe ambience and the super-friendly waitresses. May come back to try their other offerings on the menu, otherwise our maiden visit was pleasant!

We were somewhere near the Chew Jetty, and decided to take a short walk to this cafe. - We didn’t regret our choice! They served THE BEST WAFFLE IN PENANG 😍 it’s very crispy and matches well with the matcha ice cream! - Environment is very chill, highly recommend to people who wants to just chill and space out

Strawberry Waffle ice cream is so impressive, combi very well with nuts, sweetie & fruit. Rice & noodle meals are sold out. Drinks quite norm. Cafe’s theme is run down shop hse. Some of the sale items can bring ur memory back to 70s.

Came here for their waffles. I had their chocolate waffles and it was good! The portion quite big, can share with 2 people. I loved their brownies too. Coffee was okay. The place was cozy, not many people was there during my visit. Quite difficult to find their shop at the first place 😅

Tried the Classic Waffles with butter and maple syrup. Waffles were fluffy inside and crispy around the edges. Perfect! Very happy with the polite young people who showed respect to my elderly mom.

Came for the coffee and brownies, not disappointed. One of the best brownies i have ever tasted in my life. You should try their waffle too. With extra love and cuteness from the meow, this sweet cafe has won everything.

Lovely place for waffles! Perfectly made, slightly crunchy on the outside, beautifully warm and mildly moist on the inside. The flavours also greatly compliment each other. Served by staff member Jocelyn which was the highlight of the entire visit. Oh and Luna the cat is like a walking carpet! =) will come again for waffles.

The waffles is worth the price. I think the portion is enough for 2 person. It is a little filling when I had one by myself. Will definitely go back and try other waffles in their menu.

If the things they sell weren’t so pricy I’d probably buy a bunch. But anyways, their waffles are delicious and also beautifully plated. It’s super cozy and there’s also a really fat and grumpy cat (that I find extremely cute) there.

A very fun lifestyle store / cafe tucked in beautiful George Town. Stumbled upon this shop while wandering around town and best is to be greeted by a lovely cute house cat. Oh, the waffle is awesome and friendly barista!

Nice cosy cafe with great waffles and friendly staff. Some of the seating could be a little awkward, but overall still a good place to chill in the afternoon. They sell crafts as well at the front area of the shop.
