Stars are for - amazing service and ambience of the place. Black Forest cake taste traditional and beautiful.... Def a great place for meet ups and working. Plenty of plug points. Coffee is very decent. Recommended.

Visited once during their soft launch for drinks only & now visit again to try their food menu. Went during breakfast, not much varieties available, but food tastes delicious. Good quality ingredients used. Visit again to try their dinner menu. The breakfast menu tasted better. 3 different corners of seatings to choose from. The only setback during my dining was there's a customer who brought their dog & it's quite a big one & the dog is making quite some noise, so it's disturbing. I understand this cafe is pet friendly but somehow they must consider majority customers preference. Not all customers feel comfortable.

A new cafe supposedly converted from an old stable, with an interesting layout including many seats and outdoor courtyard. Very aesthetic and bright interiors with raw red brick walls and tasteful furniture. The menu is not extensive but the french fries, cake and coffee are nice. Great to chill here in the afternoon to calming music.

The place looked hip and newly renovated. We came for after dinner drinks and dessert. The drinks were standard fare. The crumbles with ice cream were a big disappointment though. The artificial taste of the crumbles made it impossible to eat. The ice cream was not too bad. Not sure I will return. So many other places in Penang with better food.

Super place with super food, super drinks, super vibes and super service. The place is amazingly spacious and the tables are not squeezed in. Seems like a trendy place. A big shout out to the chef for three outstanding dishes - fish and chips, bonito duck carbonara and smoked duck aglio olio. Just Lovely. As a fish and chips lover I have to say this was one of the best I've had here in Penang. The cold cafe latte was excellent and had enough good quality coffee and wasn't just a collection of ice cubes and a weak excuse of a coffee. The yuzu mint and mix berry mint were colourful and deliciously sweet. No excesses, just right. We hope to come back soon.

This cafe is an ideal spot for various activities. If you want to chill and hang out with your friends, the place is spacious with different areas to chat and gossip. If you need to work remotely, the cozy and remote-work friendly environment provides peace of mind, without worrying about cramped spaces, limited ports, or noisy surroundings. Also, regardless of the time of day, the place never gets hot or stuffy, though the sun may shine in during the morning. As for the food, I have yet to try their lunch menu, but the portions are fair for the price, and the food quality is great. The cafe also has an excellent music selection that keeps you engaged and never bored. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for any event or gathering, or even for some me-time. Great please to hang out with friends and family. Second time at this place and most importantly they are pet friendly. Very attentive and friendly staff. Do call for reservation to prevent any disappointment during weekend especially they have limited area for pets. Food are special and most of them are scrumptious and worth the price.

A spacious, relaxing and pleasing cafe located right in the heart of the city with plenty of seating (it can get pretty full, though and you may have to wait for a table). They offer a decent spread of food on their menu which can cater for those looking for a proper meal, cakes and coffee or even snacks and beers. Besides the available but limited public car parks, the cafe is surrounded by several private car parks so finding a parking spot (depending on your luck and budget) will not be much of a problem.

The environment is great, especially the original structure of the building is being preserved and used as part of the ambient setup. My only comment was the Long black being served was too acidic to my taste, 🤷🏻‍♂️could due to my personal liking toward less acidic coffee.

Nice and spacious environment. The place itself is nicely renovated with a cafe feel. Plenty of cakes and drinks to choose from. The salmon skin is nicely cook and taste crispy and yummy. The chick and mash is comes with poached eggs and mash that is served cold. The chicken is lightly season and grilled. The macha is good and latte used dark roasted coffee beans. You can request for lighter roast coffee beans. Overall the experience is good. Only draw back is you need to pick up the plain water yourself at the side counter.

The food is okay, but didn't really amaze , as the price is also quite high. The environment and vibe is quite nice as there are singers and band, but only for outdoor. It's really hard to find parking.

There are a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces and corners to cater for different customers. A great place to hangout with friends and family, and even pets. Nice cakes available here. Simple menu options available but hot food may be delayed when too many people. This place opens from morning till late night. Quite crowded especially during weekends. Can be very happening at night when there is music entertainment.

This Cafe I come everyday with my friend. Greeted with a smile by the waiter. A nice calm cafe with good sound system, thus the good music. Great place to start the day with their good breakfast n a cup of hot chocolate prepared by the two young boy…..☺️. My friend love their coffee latte too.

Live chinese music adds an unusual vibe to this cafe. Serving connoisseur coffee, shoju, beer & finger food, this one year old chill out joint attracts many young local Chinese customers. A good selection of fusion style cakes is also on display. There are 2 side wings that allow patrons to be seated away from the live band.

The place has very nice vibe and interior, with a rustic design and also somewhat spacious. It is well lit with natural lighting during the day. The foods were quite good, the burger was quite filling with the patty well seasoned. The fries were a bit salty though. Have to order and pay at the counter. Located along Leith Street. Street parkings are available but depending on peak hour and crowd.

Drop by Higher Ground for breakfast, they open pretty early, as early as 9am. It’s pork free and the place is big, have plenty of seats. It has live band at night too. The coffee is good, we also ordered the cheese omelette which is pretty good, smooth and flavorful and it comes with fried chicken cubes. We also ordered the tiramisu, it was just ok, the coffee flavor not strong enough.

Cozy cafe and atmosphere very nice, will become a bar at night. Ordered their Javanese Chicken Ragu taste good 💯 Fizzy Pizzy also delicious 🤤 just the price a bit high, staff not so friendly for the first come customer. Hard to find parking around this area.

Environment Spacious and comfort. Great location for gathering. Pet friendly spot. Tasty food but lesser option and longer serving time for main course. Service can be improve as no service crew provide the menu when walk in and ended need to walk to the counter and look for the menu. On the other hand other table service crew bring the menu for them. Even though my sitting location is Infront of the shop camera surveillance but no service crew bring the menu over.

I have been visiting this place almost every month. Among so many cafe in Pg this is one of the best cafe. definitely for many reason, good ambiance & environment , even u need a comfy space for work or meeting during the day. this is the best place. I love to sit at the pet zone area. Food - Great Food ,honestly I did commented once, XL sandwich price at RM24 and I asked them with this price can is it enough for me. Coz I felt is a quite cheap, when I receive it indeed is really worth the price so big portion where I can't finish alone. Coffee is great too. I love their burger and Aglio Olio too.

Nice interior. Kind of rustic theme. Spacious with plenty of seating. Have a separate area for those who would like a quieter environment for work. A small outdoor countertop seating at the entrance. Food and drinks are good and reasonably priced. There Instagram account page shows live music at some nights. I went during lunch hours. In overall a cosy and comfortable place. Would recommend to try out the place.

The place had undergone some makeover and has a rustic, modern-industrial decor with a relaxing vibe. For the soft opening month, Higher Ground only offers dessert and beverage menu with plans to offer mains in coming months. Save for the slightly steeper price, the place is pretty comfortable and especially suitable for casual catch ups over drinks.

Everything was great. Service was a little slow but the staff might have had a busy lunch crowd. It didn't really bother us much though since the food and overall atmosphere was great! I'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Great but not perfect. Nice chilled vibes and I was left in peace to work for a few hours after eating. Fantastic coffee choices (highly recommend the flat white with oat milk) and a good eggs benedict with salmon. Good salmon, eggs were perfect and with runny yolk. However, a slightly rubbery and cold bagel (this should be toasted to order) and a bit too much sauce for my liking. Would recommend for brunch/lunch.

A number of aircon power up this warehouse to keep you cool and comfortable. It is spacious and there will be a corner for everyone. The clever use of warm lights makes the place cozy. The staff are generally pleasant and friendly. The drinks could certainly be less sweet. Healthier and more palatable, no? :)

Love the look and feel of this huge cafe. The spaciousness is second to none, well lite and good service by the staff. Also one of the fastest and most stable cafe wifi I have used so far. Definitely a big plus, esp when I went at a time that I really need good connection to settle some stuff. Also the Bonito Duck Carbonara is pretty good as well.

Chanced upon this cafe as we were staying nearby and managed to grab coffee on a Fri afternoon. The place was nicely designed with good light streaming in and they were about 20% occupied. It’s a pretty large space so there’s quite a lot of seating. The coffee we had was decent but we didn’t manage to try the food as we had come from a heavy lunch

A spot that does it all. You can get cafe style food, coffee, beer here. It's pet friendly and there's live bands starting at 8pm. There's something for everyone here. The interior is pretty spacious and well designed. The sides are more suited for chitchat whereas the main area are for the live band. There's no "official" parking here. But there's plenty of private car parks nearby.
