Despite it not being the biggest wildlife park I have been it it has its own charm. There are plenty of different animals to look at. The main being the monkeys but they have a walkthrough area with birds and lemars. The price was very budget friendly so despite its size it was well worth the cost. After being in the wildlife park there is a lovely garden to walk around that it is located in with a good park for the kids at the bottom. Also, the entrance to the park/gardens is at the foot of the cable car to Gibraltar rock so can be easily tied in with a visit up the rock. Definitely worth a visit.
We stayed in this park for two hours, captivated by the adorable lemurs and monkeys. The care given to all the animals was heartwarming and added to the overall experience. It's evident that the well-being of the animals is a top priority. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend a visit.
Amazing tiny zoo. Beautifully designed, and well maintained. The entrance fee is £8, a little steep for a tiny zoo, but it’s a worthwhile donation for a zoo with only rescued animals- it doesn’t feel exploitative at all, and the staff seem to genuinely care for the animals. For me, seeing the tamarins and the sugar gliders are worth the entrance fee alone.
Lovely wildlife park, looking after all sorts of animals, birds and reptiles, previously unwanted or unkempt. The staff are mega friendly and passionate about their jobs! Not a large place, but well kept and interesting. The birds especially are fascinating, dancing with the staff and the large Macaw chats to you!!
Cute animals, great place for kids I guess
I do recommended if you visit Gibrultar! A little gem within the Botanic Gardens. A variety of animals within an interesting maze of interwinding trails. Can easily be seen within an hour or longer if you would love to talk to talking Parrot 🦜 😍🥰. It's worth a visit. Entry is not cheap, although it goes to a worthy cause.
A lovely little wildlife park right at the back of the botanical gardens. £8 entry fee and though small I felt was worth it. The staff and volunteers do a great job keeping this place running. A delightful atmosphere, very calming and quiet with just the noise of the birds. It's quite hilly and uneven paths. The animals and birds here are beautiful. Their is a boardwalk area with birds and lemurs. Their is also a sort of underground area with snakes and small mammals. Really worth the effort to get here.
Gibraltar Alameda Wildlife Park is a small wildlife park situated in the Botanic Gardens in Gibraltar. Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park began in 1994 as a collection of parrots, tortoises and monkeys all confiscated from illegal traders who were passing through Gibraltar.
