Well worth a walk up the path, great views over both sides as well as seeing the WW2 lookout and the ancient Moorish lookout sentry box. Mind your step as some of the ground is un even and the steps up can be large, once at the top you see the old WW2 lookout. Further along the path becomes less brutal and you can enjoy the walk through the trees along the path to discover Gibraltar's highest toilet (Disused). Then a gentle slope down back to the road.

Do beware of the monkeys that'll lay by you as you fight your way to the top of that steep, narrow path. Be careful and enjoy the view at the top.

Entrance to the ruins requiring a good condition. if someone does not have the strength to overcome a large number of stairs, it is better to walk slowly along the road nearby to the higher parts of the rock from where there are more beautiful views and a less demanding approach.

Walking up to the steps in the hottest part of the day in August seemed like the stupidest idea I'd ever had. Once in the lockout we climbed out of the battery through a stone window onto a promentary with a stunning view of new buildings being built on the Eastern side of the island(?) and the journey was forgotten.

Only local’s cars allowed to top so you need to park and hike like 300 miles. Nice view though

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The view from Gibraltar is simply breathtaking! Standing on the observation deck, I was fascinated by the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the endless blue sea. Seeing two continents, Europe and Africa, felt almost surreal. The view also offered magnificent scenery of the entire Strai...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This destination is almost at the apex of the Rock of Gibraltar! However, people with Acrophobia may want to avoid as the scene is pretty intense. Again, this was a destination of the Taxi tour. It offers a panoramic view of the Rock, being able to see the Mediterranean Sea, and the surrounding a...
