Okay. Expensive (city centre so what do you expect?), busy and full of fake ballers. Definitely felt out of place in there personally. On the plus side the staff were nice, place definitely has had a lot of money spent on it and looks great visually and DJs/sound were excellent with great music. Nice heated smoking area too.

Enjoying my second cocktail with my daughter when I was rudely asked to move outside to another seat by receptionist as she had just booked the table for another party. Drinks overpriced for what you get in a small glass. Wont be back 😡

Hottest day of the year, inside upstairs bar is completely empty and told by the bouncers we have to leave because we're wearing shorts!? Sorry but in 28c heat what do they expect?

First round was 19.20. 10 minutes later the same round was 26 pound. When questioned the bar tender said that was the price. They also underpoured the drinks the doubles were at best a shot and a half. Give a wide birth

I have visited the place with my friend the other day. We went in for the £4.95 drinks and it was so good. The place was stunning and drinks were so nice.

We ordered a drink each for party of 4. 3 of the drinks were fine, one wasn't made correctly. Politely asked for it to be remade or replaced with different drink or taken off the bill. Waiter asked manager who declined. We asked to talk to manager, manager refused. We then asked to order more drinks (purely as we had nowhere booked it was a busy Saturday night) only to be told that we had been "cut off" by the manager. our waiter was polite but all the other staff we approached we're rude and arrogant. We left completely shocked and appaled. What awful customer service. Would advise you avoid Kong at all costs. Plenty of other much better places in Glasgow city centre.

Only positive comment I can leave is the nice ambiance. The cocktails were terrible. Didn’t matter who made them. Food was average. Service was terrible staff do not smile and are not pleasant. The table of 5 next to us felt the exact same. A massive let down.

New Rooftop bar - I came here with a friend I’ve not seen for a while. We absolutely loved the setting and the new rooftop, however, the food was awful. When it arrived it was cold and smothered in mayo. The menu did not state the mayo would cover the dish when normally the menu should state ‘topped with mayo” so we sent it back. When the food came back the squid was still cold and the crispy prawns were smothered in a horrible mayo. I would only recommend this place for a drink but the food shouldn’t be served to anyone , when the waitress saw we hadn’t touched the prawns nothing was said and we were still charged full price with 12.5%. Will not be returning.

Incredibly poor service and low quality cocktails. Average wait after ordering a round of drinks was about 20 minutes and on two occasions we had to collect our drinks from the bar ourselves. Last round of drinks was so bad we left them. Would not go back here - shame as its a nice venue.

We popped into Kong while on holiday in Glasgow. Charlie the bar tender was a great guy, he made us a Watermelon Margarita and a Perfect Manhattan. What was really nice was he took the time to show us what was in the cocktails and explained so much to us. The atmosphere was nice and chilled, with good music playing at the right level. As we were leaving the DJ was setting up, so I’d say a good night was on the cards!!

We arrived for an impromptu late lunch and drinks. Various options of cocktails and food available and the staff were really friendly and helpful. This was midweek so offers/discounts were given (available Sunday to thursday). Decor was beautiful and had a nice chilled atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

Private room for celebration from 6pm. Room nice, good space. Girl behind bar lovely. Dark haired chap miserable, not helpful. Choice of drinks not good in private room or checking main bar of which relatives drink choices and drinks for cocktails not available. Bar ran out of Champagne and no cocktail garnishes offered. Price for same drink round differed each time and overpriced. 11pm, staff cleared balloons, decorations, food not eaten binned ( no offer to box/take away) and party moved to main bar promptly to make way for next party in private room. Main bar heaving, couldn't move and most guests left following move. If booking for celebration don't. Choose venue with well stocked bar, happy staff, reasonably priced drink and somewhere you are seated for duration of evening.

Very poor service. Slow and our waitress was quite rude in the way she spoke to us. She obviously was having a bad day and it showed. Service charge added to bill automatically. We didn't notice until afterwards. Waitress certainly didn't deserve the £20 that was automatically added on. Drinks took forever to come to the table. Service at bar equally slow. Cocktails over priced and poor quality. Glasses sticky. Dirty tables. Glasses not collected. Food good but small portions for prices. Music/ DJ good. Chilled vibes and the actual bar/restaurant decor was gorgeous. Such a shame the staff and quality didn't match the look of the place, otherwise this would be a great spot.

We welcomed our daughters boyfriend’s parents to Glasgow and decided to go to Kong however the bouncer had other ideas and wouldn’t let his father in saying he was ‘too drunk’. What he was really saying was you’re too old and not influential enough to allow entry - apologies for not being handsome enough for this establishment.

Bodyguard were amazingly rude, mean, offensive and left us out. No dress code problem, no money or age problem; they just “asked us to go somewhere else” even tho our friends were in there. Ruined our night and split us up for nothing ;) if you have to spend your money, go somewhere where you can enjoy your night and have some good vibes, not to some elitist and offensive place

Melanie was awesome sauce. Our table was reserved and we weren't ready to go. Sorted us out with another booth. Girl with the nos3 ring amd choker (didnt get her name) was also class. Highly recomended.

First round was £18 for 2 double rum and cokes. Second round (for the exact same order) was £26. Asked the bartender about it and they said that was the price. Also heavily under poured the drinks. Avoid.

Was a regular in this place when it was one-up. Been quite a few years now but decided to pay it a visit and it's now called Kong. Got in the que just behind a few people who where being verbal abused by the older bouncer on the door ( no manners and looking to fight the customers) on my turn I was told I had too much to drink 1( 1 beer) same bouncer was rude and again seemed to want to throw his weight about. Not the same friendly atmosphere and the older numb nut bouncer should be in prison not on a established place like this.

Vodka and diet coke ....7.40 for a single vodka in a tiny glass stacked with ice and a spray of diet coke from the soda gun. Absolute joke price for a Glasgow bar. Bar was also dead; left and went to Hide & Seek which was a much better bar.
