This place is indeed deserve a 5 Stars. The ambiance, food, service, deco, and etc! All superb! The location of this place is easy to find and within walking distance to many places in Glasgow. From the point I enter the restaurant. I was greet with a big smile and the serves were so friendly and they are very good to all the guest. Deserve another star for this. Will surely be back to eat here again in my next trip.

I found Bills to be conveniently located in Glasgow. The food was excellent and tasted great but is a bit on the pricey side given the portion size. Service was attentive with friendly staff. Note that they add on an optional 10% service charge so check your receipt carefully. The restaurant was clean and tidy.

Lovely food, but the music was too loud. Difficult to have any conversation across the table without half shouting.

My friend and I visited this restaurant. And we absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly and put up with my outrageous banter which was nice because having visited other restaurants in other cities that isn't always the case ?? The food was delicious, especially the sweet potato fries (omg you HAVE to have them ?) The cocktails were delicious as well and I ended the night with a pint which was lovely as well. Atmosphere was brilliant, it was pretty quiet when we went but it was perfect, the music and just general vibe of the place was lovely. ? Felt very welcoming. Price wasnt bad either. It was 50 quid for 2 main courses, 2 side dishes, 3 cocktails and 2 pints. Hope you all enjoy your future meals if you choose to go from my review ? and I hope you have the same experience I did.

Credit to Kate (General Manager) and her staff, in particular Adam (waiter) for a fantastic date night meal. We both thoroughly enjoyed our steaks, desserts and coffee's, all served in a relaxed and cosy restaurant with great vibe. Value for money is excellent for the quality of food. All dishes extremely well presented and thoroughly appreciated. Superb Vegan menu I noted.

Flying visit to Glasgow and needed somewhere for beakfast. Picked here due to 4+ stars. Not overwhelmed with the place. The meal was okay but left wanting more. I would go back in the hopes that it's worth the stars the other contributors have given it.

Best breakfast I've had in all the UK, though the black pudding was a wee dry. Wonderful coffee, plus nice and friendly too!

At Bill's you get well rounded breakfast. Very nice place with very good smiling waitress who recommend you perfect breakfast if you cannot decide like me. Seating is very comfortable. Eggs, mushrooms and vegetable was cooked well moistured and bread was nice and crunchy. I definitely recommend this place.

Last minute shopping and a quick bite to eat. The breakfast was great, streaky bacon and a double egg washed down with a lovely latte. Service was quick and efficient temperature was checked on the way in, the tables were clean and tidy and social distancing was observed throughout. Can't wait to try Bill's out for meal.

Wonderful service and lovely food! Even though it is a franchise, the staff were very warm and engaging! The menu was standard but the shakes and coffer alongside the delicious food brought a very large smile to my face!

My friends had already been & had highly recommended you - table booked for 11.30 for brunch, 2 of us had the buttermilk pancakes - I had them with bacon & my friend had the fruit both delicious, my other friend had the veggie breakfast which looked amazing! Shared a huge pot of tea & then I had a latte, great service & lovely staff, loved the restaurant with all the different lighting. Will definitely be back!!

Nice food but pricey for portion size. The decor and surroundings of the restaurant were great. The staff also attentive on our visit. I had the pancakes with streaky bacon and a glass of cloudy apple juice. The food and drink did hit the spot. However, the price to portion ratio seems a bit stingy. 3 pancakes and at best 2 skinny bits of bacon for £8??? The £3+ glass of apple juice was small and my friends coffee could have been finished in two gulps. £26 all in for two people at breakfast. It’s definitely the most I’ve spent on breakfast in a while. Ultimately, I liked the food, but ultimately left feeling short changed.

We stumbled on Bill's by accident but we are glad we did! It's a large space but feels cozy. Contemporary but classical. The lamb shank was juicy and seasoned just right and the chocolate brownie was delish! Service was great and prices are reasonable considering the downtown Glasgow locale.

Great service and environment, the interior is really spacious and escapes the traditional dim atmosphere. I had breakfast on my own and felt really welcome. The breakfast menu does not offer anything overly impressive but it has all the classics to accommodate different tastes; the food was well cooked and brought out almost immediately. The day was overly cold (big snow day) and the waiter didn't mind I was holding onto my Starbucks take-out-hand-warmer of a tea, which was nice. The place is decent and I am looking forward to a chance to visit again, hopefully to try the dinner service

I have been to Bills in other city's and really like it. This one has a lovely atmosphere and considering we went in for brunch on a busy Saturday morning the service was quick and the food was really tasty! It's wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet

  • 2/5 Manning B. 4 years ago on Google
Cold eggs, stale muffin, frankly odd tasting smashed avocado and ambivalent service. Staff seem to expect you to tip after they serve up such drivel, and passive aggressively roll their eyes at you when you don't with good reason! Change was handed to me all in small coins (even though the waitress had the appropriate amount of notes clutched in her opposite hand) as a final "F you". Terrible establishment with awful food. Plenty of places with better food, for cheaper, and without the attitude. I suggest trying elsewhere.

Bill's has a quirky sense of style. A mix match between a barn and a boutique. It's unsure which one it is and therefore leaves a customer with an equal sense of bemusement. Staff are super friendly and attentive and that is the best thing about this place. Food wise, this morning I had scrambled eggs and toast with bacon and black pudding. The best part was the toast and bacon. The eggs were overdone, scrambled eggs that are more rubbery than delicious and the black pudding was cooked too hot and so the outside was crunchy. Last thing, I hate when a tip is added to the bill. Please allow people to tip if the wish and let it go directly to your staff and not through a bill. We customers want to reward good service and should be allowed to do so in the way we want.

For those unfamiliar, Bill's is a UK chain which serves up modern style cuisine. This was the second branch we have visited and the food was fairly consistent. We had squid and crab cakes to start. The squid was a little on the rubbery side but the crab cakes were tasty. Mains were sea bass - tasty but modestly sized - and the chicken burger. The burger was again tasty, but pricey for all that it was. The portion was more generous. The bill, with one glass of wine and a soft drink, came to over £55, which included the 10% service charge which is added automatically. Frankly, a tip of over £5 was fairly ridiculous, but it is not likely that patrons will ask for it to be removed. We were also plagued by two or three stubborn flies throughout the meal, which seemed to be the by product of the door being left open. If you decide to dine here, you will likely be happy enough, but there are better ways to spend your money in Glasgow.

Can't fault my own experience. Great food and service. Our waiter Adam was brilliant. A couple of people said there hollandaise was cold but can't verify and as I didn't try theirs and they didn't complain that is up to them (i believe them though as trust them 100%). That aside, staff were great, especially Adam and I would highly recommend. Just make sure the food you serve is hot and I am sure the 5 out of 5 reviews will keep coming.

Think traditional cooked breakfasts, but more pretentious. Nice as a one off if you're looking for a more adventurous modern-dining take on breakfast, but not as a general go-to. Pleasant enough atmosphere and the staff are nice, but definitely caters to the more 'yuppie' crowd.

Tried this for the first time today, petrified because I was alone with my twin 4 year old autistic sons. Any outing with these guys usually turns into a riot very quickly. However, the staff were amazing, the restaurant lovely and relaxed and the food fantastic. I can honestly say, although I found it a tad expensive, it was worth every penny and I will most definitely be going back SOON.

Bill's is by far my favorite brunch place in Glasgow. I have enjoyed every meal I've had here. I highly recommend going. The avocado toast is my go-to! They have lots of healthy juices and their coffee is also delicious! You feel right at home with their cozy ambience, you have to go!
