Such a shame it's currently wrapped in scaffolding, but this is definitely a building which deserves some TLC.

Great museum. Set up in a fantastic building with various classrooms set up for different eras and display rooms with interactive displays. The boys and girls cloakrooms have costumes for kids dress up. Cafe inside. No parking.

Located in the district of Kingston, Scotland street school museum has wonderfully preserved the evolution of education system in Scotland in the 2Oth century. We were fascinated by the exhibits. I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in history and education. The employees there are very knowledgeable and welcoming. My 8 year old daughter was shown all the toys commonly used by both boys and girls in Scottish schools in the last century and she could play with some of them.

Interesting museum with good exhibitions and replica classrooms. Dress up and activities for children so there is something for everyone. Free to go but donations are recommended.

My daughter had been watching the Back in Time for School series so loved being able to get into the classrooms and re-enact what she'd seen. I also went to school in a building of the same era and it was fun to spot all the similarities. Great little museum.

Incredible museum, you can imagine the children that have gone here over the years, large, open and brilliant to just wander around at your leisure. Very interesting.

Staff were very helpful and friendly with the kids activities. You get free parking at the subway if you ask for a voucher when entering/leaving the museum, there is no information available for this that I could see on display. Also you need to get your ticket validated at the subway ticket office, no signage for this either.

Educationally informative. Virtual reality figures night help to bring it alive. Grand children interested but a more high tech presentation would help to bring it to life. Certainly invoked a lot of memories for me. Free parking ticket provided by staff made the experience entirely free. Thank you

Rennie MacIntosh's stunning school building. The proportions of the building are beautiful and the windows and interior light within. Interesting to see classrooms from Victorian times as well as the ones I recognised from the 50's!

A quiet place . It gives the atmosphere such as the space and safety( form the stairs and high ceilings). Saw some of the classrooms which look like lecture theatres. A peaceful place.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Scotland street school museum today. WWII demonstration was a brilliant opportunity to let the kids see how schools and kids operated during the 30s and 40s. Would be a shame if this was closed.b

If you like Charles Renee Mackintosh and are in Glasgow this is a must. All the ingredients are there. Outstanding design, a stubborn architect, new approaches to designing I learning environment. Obviously a man who was far ahead of his time. A must if you're in the area! Enjoy, Christiaan ?️??????
