Tollcross Children's Farm

Tourist attraction Zoo

👍👍 This is a great wee farm. The kids enjoyed it & grandpa enjoyed it too. But be in the wrong place at the wrong time and you might find yourself explaining about the birds and the bees thanks to the frisky alpacas! People often mention animals, kids, park, Great, farm, visit, free, great, loved, young,

Located inside the park, not a great deal of animals but what’s on offer is certainly well looked after and well maintained. Free entrance, no pre-booking required. I have attached a photo of their opening times if that helps anyone to plan ahead. On site there is a visitor centre to your left. Providing many different exhibits, African land snails, a snake, tarantula, jigsaws, colouring in and farm toys too. The toilets in the farm are good and there is a baby changing unit.

Small farm located just inside the park. Not a great deal of animals but what there is are ready to see and look in excellent condition. The place itself is spotless and has wash stations located at the entrance/exit as well as a hands sanitizer station. The enclosure are well kept and the walkways litter free and will kept. Don't expect to be here for hours but good enough for young children to give them a glimpse of unfamiliar animals.

I am lucky enough to have this gem right at my doorstep. My little boy loves visiting, and it has become our Sunday ritual. It is a quaint little farm which is next to a beautiful park. It is also free, and you can leave a donation that is entirely up to yourself.

Not much to be seen, but what are you expecting form a free "zoo"? llama is the star after all. Nice place for kid. Do not forget to walk around the park afterward.

Been here with a 2 yr old and he loved it, it's small but it's within the city and he enjoyed it. The staff were all very helpful and told us info about the animals without is asking while they were passing! Definitely worth a wee visit with the kids or even if you just love animals!

We went 10am, time for opening. It was okay. Not many animals but it was fun for my girls. The horses and the chickens they loved most. When you are born in the city, I guess m its the best animal farm we get.

A lovely wee children's zoo, free entry, set in Tollcross park. A gem in Glasgow's east end....

Depressing to see animals in such a sad state. Poor ground and poor facilities for the ponies and there were significantly less animals there than advertised (mainly just chickens). Some birds appeared to be rough and a bit scruffy, staff are clearly not taking enough care, not sure if this is to do with underfunding.

Lovely when you get to see the animals but it’s deserted and many pens are empty. The animals can’t be petted but it doesn’t even matter cos you can see hardly any. Was quite disappointing but on a positive, the place is well kept and really clean.

What an amazing free attraction for the children. We loved looking at all the animals that we never even knew were here. It’s always clean and the animals are well taken care of. Always worth a visit to support local places.

For just being a little place it's good for wee ones and it costs nothing so what more can you ask for really. Its not something to plan a day round as it's a 10 to 20 min visit and that's you done.

My daughter (9 months) loved it! A great alternative to paying a fortune for the zoo.

  • 3/5 Emlou W. 1 year ago on Google
A lovely city park, a breath of fresh air in the big smoke! Great for walking and seeing the animals that live there with two smaller play parks. Ideally more suited to small toddlers or older kids more interested in running about on the grass than play parks. The pathways were decent enough for a scooter.

Lovely park to visit with family. Park is very well looked after and the animals are beautiful. Its costs nothing to view the animals which is great when trying to save pennies and have kids to keep occupied. Highly recommend.

Really lovely, free park to take young children to. Opening hours are until around 3.30pm but they do start putting the animals away around 3pm. Overall a nice place to go and there is a swing park and lovely grounds in the park too for afterwards.

It's a smallish children's farm within Tollcross Park. Never been before. A number of rescue animals are kept here and are well looked after. Brilliant for kids and adults alike.

  • 4/5 Louise M. 8 months ago on Google
The animals look well cared for. The little farm is well maintained. Go if you are passing but I would not recommend trying to make an afternoon of it. You will literally be round the whole farm in half an hour & thats dragging your feet to draw the visit out.

Cute little farm. On a Saturday and sunday the visitors centre is closed but you can still access the farm to see the animals. It just means there is no one to tell you about them or show you the feedings etc.

  • 3/5 Stuart C. 4 years ago on Google
It's free! The animals are cute, there aren't that many but it's a cute little inner city farm.

Open now with minimal facilities. But worth a visit for the adorable animals. Bunnies, peacocks, chicken, alpacas, ducks, some more chirpy birds.

Perfect place for kids! We live locally so we visit alot, my little boy loves it and has done since he was a baby. Even better as it's free! The animals are well taken care of and staff are friendly enough. Would definitely recommend to pass a half hour to 1 hour or so and visit the play park next to swimming too!

Great place to take young kids to introduce to animals. The petting zoo is free and has pony's, alpacas, pigs etc. Great morning out, it is also in the grounds of the park, which makes for a good walk on a nice day.
