I think this hotel has forgotten about our recent global pandemic. There was filth on the carpet, walls, and curtains. The tv remote has definitely not been washed recently, and there was mold growing on the shower curtain (see pictures). They must do a quick turnover between customers with the minimum amount of cleaning. The tiny television had one or 2 channels that were watchable. Everything else was static. The elevator was not working correctly during our visit. We had to take the stairs from the next floor up. The people at the front desk seemed nice, but weren't particularly helpful when we asked how to use the laundry service. If you come on the weekend, expect to be kept awake all night by the bars next door. There is no air-conditioning or vent in the washroom, so expect stuffy air. The one thing I can say is good is the location being right next to the train station so we can make a quick getaway.

Location is great next to the central station and the personnel is friendly, this is where the positives points of this hotel stops. Next to central train stations and with some bars the rooms are very noisy, the beds are uncomfortable (wooden plate with a mattress) making it not a great place if you want a good nights sleep. Further it looks like they stopped maintaining the hotel, elevator where you can’t select some floors, tile which are loose, bath starting to rust… Breakfast was the same each morning, however the croissants and chocolade roll came out a plastic bag without taste. It was everyday the same and no possibility to get eggs. Can’t find a good reason to stay at the hotel again, except for the friendly personnel.

Yes it's a bit shabby, but the staff was really friendly and the location great. The elevator had a broken button so we had to go up an extra floor and take the stairs down 😂 The room was big, hard to say if it was the tired carpet and chipped paint or just needed a thorough clean but it felt a bit scruffy. But for the money we paid and the location we couldn't fault it. Breakfast was good. Glasgow, for us was, charming and a bit scruffy and so was this hotel so a perfect match.

Toilet blocked on arrival. Shower barely tepid. Hairdryer doesn’t work. Bed is clean and room is useable but the fundamentals that people want for a night stop are woeful. Bathroom is not up to standard at all. Location is great if you’re not planning on using your room for long but I won’t be staying again.

5 of us stayed here last night - 2 twin rooms and a single. Reasonably priced, great location for what we wanted. We chose room only as knowing Glasgow we knew we could get a hot cooked breakfast before we got our bus. The breakfast in the hotel appeared to be cold continental food stuffs only. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant and whilst the rooms were a little on the "tired" looking side, the bed was comfy, the room was clean and the shower was hot water 😀 Good checkin time (we arrived 30mins prior to that and our rooms were ready) and there is no major rush in the morning with a noon checkout 😀 Would definitely be happy to stay here again. There is also a fantastic Italian restaurant next door - booking recommended for that.

Stayed here the night before heading to the highlands to hike the West Highland Way. I needed a comfortable place close to the train station to rest up before my long hike and that’s exactly what I got! Sure, the place isn’t the newest or the quietest, the carpet in my room was bald in some spots, the shower wasn’t sparkling white (it was clean though!), and you can hear the Glasgow nightlife through the walls, BUT staff was lovely, price was good, and I would give it 5 stars for a 3-star accommodation. Solid place to stay for a night or two, but not a luxury escape, if that’s what you are looking for.

We've stayed here once previously and actually have another stay planned for next weekend. Great value rooms, with a great, central location and ease of access to the town centre. The rooms themselves were clean and well maintained, with the only quizzical thing being the bathroom sink tap, which shot water out over the sink and all over you if you run it too fast just because lf the type of tap it was lol. The staff were all friendly and helpful and in good spirits, with a good selection of drinks at the bar in the foyer. 24hr reception which means you can come and go as needed. Looking forward to our next stay.

Looked good from reception area.. room was freezing even after I turned the radiation on fully before I went out.. the bathroom had a set of cracked tiles in the floor repaired with tape. Staff were friendly on check in, no issues there ..won't be back unfortunately...

Well located by Central station, staff were friendly enough. The blinds in the room were bent out of shape and wouldn't block out all the light. The areas around the sliding doors in the shower were extremely dirty, even if the main part of the shower was clean itself. Room cleanliness in general wasn't great, just felt like minimum effort was made to clean it

Definitely in need of a refurb, which is supposedly due to start soon. Used to book here regularly and recommend it, now, not so much. Downstairs bar area is lovely. Pillows were comfy in the room. Room was a reasonable size.

Stayed for a week. Loud screaming girls woke me at 0330 am Saturday morning, coming in from a night out. My room was on the roadside of the building. A badly repaired man hole cover in the bus lane wakes you up when the buses start to run. The hotel has made the council aware several times with no action taken as yet! If I stay again, I would want to be away from the roadside of the building.

Right outside the train station so very handy with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly and they have a bar in reception which we unfortunately didnt have time to use. Will definitely consider using again when back in Glasgow.

Good central location. I had a room to a backyard, so reasonably quiet at night. The reception staff are very nice. I skipped the breakfast this time as it is quite literally a waste of time.

Pleasant staff. The bar area looked nice downstairs. Room layout wasnt the best but it was clean and functional enough. Great location and not bad price. Extremely handy for station. Check in and out time was great

the receptionist gentleman was very friendly and addressed my need very promptly. very clean room. spotless. no strange smell or smell of artificial air freshener. anti-slip tile all over the whole bathroom floor and the bathtub. sufficient supply of tissue rolls. very clean faucet. u can tell they regularly unblock the bathtub drain as the water goes away very quickly throughout a 30-min shower. feel so warm inside even it's only 2 degree celsius outside.

Weekend away in the great City of Glasgow. Hotel was ok for the price but keep your expectations low. On arrival you are made to sign a declaration that smoking is not allowed. Then you get a room that evidently the previous guest smoked in. Heating poor, either all or nothing. Shower luke warm, they told me one of the boilers needed attention and sorry about the smoke. Room tired, in need of a refurb oh and don't bother with the TV, 3 channels (if youre lucky) through a fog of weak signal. Bedding clean and comfortable. 5 stars for location however, opposite Central Station and plenty of pubs/eats to choose from.

The room was ok but dated. Had stayed before and loved the cooked breakfast. This time what was called a continental breakfast . 5 slices of salami, cheese that was already going hard . A few baby tomatoes and cucumber. Not even tea or coffee just juice. Really disappointing.

Rooms have seen better days, TV was actually smaller then holding my phone at arm's length, don't get me wrong, completely clean but in need of some significant TLC. Staff were amazing in both the hotel and adjoining restaurant but the location has a lot to be desired. It is however next door to amazing Italian (down stairs)

A great find A nice little single room clean & comfortable. Lovely polite welcoming staff & a little bar downstairs. My only gripe tv only had 3 channels 😂

This was an excellent hotel for the price. I was able to book a twin room that was very clean and tidy. The bathroom was a little shabby but very clean. I will definitely look here first when needing a room in Glasgow next time

I realize You get what you pay for, but a hostel would have been better. Stains on the bedding (how hard is it to bleach white bedding) hair in the bathroom and on the carpet, tiles on the bathroom floor not caulked in place. The location makes sense as it’s right next to the train station, but that also means it’s loud and the whole room shakes when a big vehicle drives by. Not sure how it has this high a rating or how it’s a 3-star hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

Room worked out fine for me. Minor niggles but not worth kicking off about on reflection. I was only there for one night. Good for a base and to sleep.

I booked this for my two son's and their wife's. When they got there there were tiles Brocken in the bathroom and also my daughter in law's foot got cought with her boot she nearly had a nasty accident. The bath was also damaged. Out side their room their was a generator that went on until midnight that they weren't informed of. I called and emailed the hotel on several occasions and not one person got back to me. I have a room booked for Nov. Will definitely be cancelling. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Find them very unprofessional. And the room's definitely do not reach health and safety standards. They also said it was not clean and the bed's looked as if the sheet's had been reused.

I stayed at the hotel for the last 2 nights while attending the coldplay gig on Wednesday evening. The room was very cosy and perfect for my needs. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was excellent but the stars of the show were the amazing staff that were super nice and helpful to me. The food was also amazing thanks so much to the chef who prepared amazing cooked and continental breakfasts on both days. Your egg and pea muffins were awesome thank you so much. All the staff made me feel so comfortable and nothing was a problem for them. I will definitely be back again. Sorry for being such a chatter box. I bet you all had sore heads when I left lol 😆. Really thanks again you were all wonderful.

Very friendly and helpful staff and you get what you pay for - a nice room and bathroom for an affordable price right next to the train station. But it’s nothing incredible or fitting for a luxury getaway. I recommend for those reasons!

Staff were helpful and it is in a good central location but the room we stayed in was in dire need of renovation. The windows would not open more than a crack and there was no air conditioning or fan so the room was stiflingly hot. The bedside lights were falling off the wall and had no bulbs, the ceiling spotlights were falling out of their sockets, the carpet was threadbare and coming away. The bathroom was mouldy and floor tiles were uneven. The toilet seat fell off in use and had to be put back on. All in all, it is a good location but it is in dire need of some renovation, given the choice, I would not stay here again.

Hotel is clean, perfectly situated right across the road from the Train Station. Staff are polite and accommodating. Asked for an early checkin and was granted it at no extra fee …. However was put in the room RIGHT NEXT to the housekeeping store so had banging and talking for the most part of my stay …. I don’t recommend sleeping in room 202!
