I
picked
this
hotel
based
on
location
and
the
information
on
their
website.
The
room
we
were
given
(room
10)
was
is
in
the
basement
and
not
to
the
same
standard
or
quality
as
that
pictured
on
the
website.
I
asked
if
there
was
another
room
we
could
stay
in
and
was
told
that
they
were
fully
booked,
so
I
can't
speak
to
whether
or
not
all
the
rooms
are
misrepresented,
or
just
room
10.
We
arrived
to
find
there
was
no
reception
area,
just
an
entryway
table
with
a
note
directing
us
to
our
room
in
the
basement
and
saying
the
key
was
in
the
room.
The
ground
floor
was
not
what
I
was
expecting.
It
was
rather
run-down.
The
basement
was
worse.
The
carpet
on
the
stairs
was
coming
up,
and
the
entire
area
smelled
damp
and
a
bit
like
cat
urine.
Our
room,
luckily,
did
not
smell
like
cat
urine.
Inside
the
room,we
found
the
beds
to
be
less
than
what
was
promised
online,
but
at
least
the
bedding
was
clean
(note
that
in
the
picture
the
pillows
on
the
right
bed
have
been
moved
and
that
when
we
arrived,
the
right
bed
was
made
up
the
same
as
the
left
bed.
I
don't
want
people
to
think
the
bed
was
unmade
upon
arrival.).
My
husband
and
I
had
to
sleep
on
top
of
the
comforter/duvet
and
try
to
curl
the
edge
around
us
for
warmth
as
the
mattresses
were
so
old,
we
could
feel
the
springs
digging
into
our
backs
as
we
tried
to
sleep.
The
duvet
provided
some
cushioning,
but
there
weren't
extra
blankets,
so
we
slept
poorly.
The
window
above
our
beds,
which
faced
the
street,
was
cracked,
and
even
had
a
piece
missing.
This
meant
the
room
was
rather
loud
at
night
with
the
street
traffic.
The
bathroom
was
dirty.
The
shower
was
held
together
with
extra
piping
and
a
ziptie
(see
picture),
and
the
flooring
behind
the
sink
wasn't
finished.
The
best
thing
about
the
stay
was
the
location
and
that
we
were
only
there
two
nights.
The
hostels
I've
stayed
in
both
in
England
and
Ireland
were
far
nicer,
so
I'd
recommend
if
you're
traveling
on
a
budget
to
stay
in
one
of
those
instead.
Also,
while
the
website
states
there
is
limited
parking
on
a
first
come
first
serve
basis,
we
arrived
two
hours
after
the
3pm
check-in
and
the
lot
was
full.
The
'lot'
is
a
space
behind
the
house
which
holds
roughly
6
cars
double
parked.
As
there
are
12
rooms,
if
you're
staying
while
the
hotel
is
fully-booked,
you
should
get
there
as
early
as
possible
to
get
a
parking
space,
although
there
is
a
lot
down
the
street
that
has
a
very
reasonable
daily
rate.
Lastly,
the
owner/manager
of
the
hotel
did
call
us
to
make
sure
we'd
found
our
room,
and
she
seemed
rather
nice,
but
I'm
afraid
that
couldn't
make
up
for
the
room
we
were
rented,
which
if
I'd
seen
the
conditions
I
would
have
opted
for
another
location
at
a
higher
price.
