Beautiful place. Awful service. We are frequent guests of Setai hotels. Never seen such a low standard of service at any of the other Setai's. Need to do better job training. Zero customer service here. The hotel however is really beautiful. Great decor. Amazing views.

Some of the worst service I've ever experienced at a hotel. We came to the pool and I asked for towels. They said they wouldn't give us towels unless we gave them dirty ones back. I explained that we'd not yet gotten towels in the first place so there was no way for us to give them dirty ones back, but they still refused. We had to find stranger's dirty towels before we finally received our own. They also wouldn't give us ice when we asked or coffee when we ordered it. They said they didn't have either. When we pressed them, they somehow begrudgingly came out with one cup of ice. We tried to grab food near the pool and the "manager" began literally yelling at me for being in just a swimsuit. I explained that I had just checked in that day so I didn't know the rules, so he yelled further making a scene. Some strangers attempted to charge items to our friend's room, and the hotel did nothing about it. There are several more stories that occurred throughout our one-night stay, but needless to say the service is horrendous. It's unfortunate that the service is so awful because the rooms are nice.

The property has a five star look with three star service. It is a beautiful setting, but the pool closes at 5:00. There is a 24 hour “spa” facility with a gym, but you will need to search for how to turn on the lights as there is no staff and they shut it down as though you are not welcome. The staff makes its best attempt to be friendly, but it is as though they have had absolutely no training at their jobs. If you are looking for top notch service, you will be sorely disappointed at this facility. I’d like to say that it is due to it being understaffed, but it is as though no employee on the property knows what his or her job or responsibilities are.

My family and I booked 3 nights here and left after only 20 hours - it was THIS bad. If you think you are going to a luxurious hotel, think again. The rooms were dirty (we had to move to a second one cause the first one wasn’t cleaned), furniture in room and throughout the hotel is extremely dirty, broken, rusted and with stains. Cigarette buds everywhere. We have 2 young kids and what was a real safety concern for us was the broken glass that were found EVERYWHERE (see photos) including on our room balcony, not safe for anyone to walk around bare feet around the pool. People bring outside drinks at the pool and party all night. Don’t expect to get any sleep, you won’t get any. Drunk guests were yelling all day and night. But what really took us the edge and made us leave less than 20 hours is the drunk guests starting a fight that almost got physical in front of our kids. The hotel is a 2 star hotel, the service is nonexistent as everyone is on their phone on social media even when driving the golf cart with kids in it! You will be served in cheap plastic cups and plastic utensils anywhere in the hotel even away from the pool. Stay away at all cost.

Very appalling. There was an actual physical fight between 3 staff members and a guest. Even as we tried to walk away, the people were chasing each other and came near us again. No security at all. I felt very unsafe for my children’s sake. The service was terrible: the bellmen barely helped with our bags. When we arrived, I brought the bags to the back room and out again. When we got to the room, I carried half the bags down the stairs. And when we left the staff member who came to pick us up from the room, stayed in the golf cart on his phone as my wife was carrying our folded strollers up the stairs. This is definitely my opinion, but I could feel the disdain from the staff. There was only 1 kind receptionist, with everyone else, it felt like they were doing us a favor by working there. It was the kind of place where they would use your toothbrush to clean the toilet. The grounds are gorgeous and the dinner was incredible, but certainly not worth the time. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights and we left after 1. [in response to owner’s message] my wife has tried contacting your offices 3x with no response. Your unacceptable service continues…

Not recommend! The hotel claims to be a luxury hotel but the facilities and room maintenance is very bad. The hotel is unsuitable for families with young children because there are stairs everywhere and you can't use a stroller comfortably. Also, the rooms include a lot of glass and the children's pool is very dirty with insects all over the place. There is no lifeguard around. On top of it all they promise a kids playroom in the hotel but it turns out it was closed and turned into a synagogue. The staff is very unfriendly and does not want to help the guests whatsoever. When I asked about the supposed kids playroom,I got the answer "this is not a hotel for kids, we don't have any!" The room was cleaned only after I asked and repeated my request many times each day... You call and they say "we're coming" but nothing happens.

Resort is well maintained and looks overall very nice, especially with the personal swimming pool in front of our residence, concrete paths and palms along. Staff is friendly. I really missed a lovely sandy beach. Atmosphere around the general pool was okay but area is quite small and his therefore not much privacy… But the crowd this resort attracts doesn’t seem to mind this because they want to be SEEN, NOTICED AND HEARD…

The Setai Sea of Galilee was a great experience. The place is beautiful but suffers from not being kept up as well as it should. Little things need to be updated/painted/redone. It was a new hotel and now it needs a little tender loving care. The weekday dinner was fantastic. The breakfast was good. Not better than you’d expect at other Israeli hotels like the Dan group. Nothing ‘special’ but nothing bad either. I was impressed by the pareve desserts. Most kosher hotels in Israel seem to import their non-dairy desserts from the same place and it repeats itself. But here the desserts were indeed different and special. And tasty of course. I do wish that for the price they charge there were more little ‘פינוקים׳. Fruit plates sent to the room, chocolates ect. It was fine without but would have been nicer with. The service was great. But they charge you for a bucket of ice. You can get a cup of ice for free, it’s kinda ‘off-putting’ to charge for ice. Like really?!?! Overall the experience was really great. We had a room with a little pool. It was a real delight. The room was clean. But again for the price, the little things I mentioned would have made the experience ‘perfect’ and why not just do that and make your guests feel like it was perfect!?!

Worse hotel ever , 100% loss of money The location is nice, that’s it They don’t know what is service , rooms are so disgusting , when you complain they come to clean superficially. Next to the pool you ask for ice with the drinks you order and they tell you that the supervisor doesn’t allow to give ice, no ice! I will not write here what was going on in the pool but if I wasn’t keeping Shabat I would have bring the police and this hotel would have closed ! Big shame ! They should change the name of this hotel because they don’t represent for real what is Setai , and they are just living in a dream with the prices they ask for

Wonderful experience amazing hospitality! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service provided transportation to and from the parking lot and carried the luggage. The pool adjacent to the room was very clean, the walkway has well maintained landscaping and scenery. This resort has anything you can need for a great vacation!

Before I went to the Hotel I was looking at reviews and wondering why I was seeing so many bad reviews while the pictures a beautiful?!? In end I decided to go I have to say I love the trip it was me and my wife with a private pool!! it was a blast! The grounds were stunning, and the view was the best part! but I have to so say the rooms were not spotless including the bathroom and the most run down part of our stay was our private pool with many tiles on the floor broken off and not a very clean pool either also was not very warm either but it was still a blast. The reason I am writing this is for others to understand the contradiction between reviews is because the grounds are beautiful the rooms are good too but not what I expected.

Setai- Sea of Galilee was really as good as advertised. As an orthodox couple from New York we came with your 1 year old baby to this hotel and they were so accommodating to our Needs for our baby and privacy. Food has a great kosher certification and was amazing. The staff at the Setai was very nice to us and Nissim the manager was the best, really made us feel special and was very attentive. Would highly recommend going whether as a couple, singles trip, or a family vacation. Can’t wait to come back in the future!

Our stay at Setai of Galilee was very disappointing. We had stayed at the Setai Jaffa and had a wonderful experience and expected something similar. At this location, we were a large group consisting of 4 rooms. Every room had issues including clogged drains, doors that didn’t close, toilet plungers left on the counter in one of the rooms and overall dirty rooms. The customer service was terrible. It took 45 minutes to check in - even after we completed pre-check in online. There was broken glass outside our room and by the beach. The staff was completely unresponsive and bordered on rude. There was a very long line for coffee at breakfast and only one person making the coffees. The rooms were very expensive and the accommodations were terrible. The only redeeming thing was the beautiful setting. All the issues would have been manageable except for the very high prices. I would recommend any other hotel in the area. Do NOT stay here.

The hotel is the best place to stay and enjoy from a super relaxing vacation. The staff are super super friendly and ready to serve you from A to Z whatever you need. The location feels like miami. A private beach and private pools. You have the option for privacy and also to enjoy a pool and spa with all guests. The food are super delicious exultant chefs and really good and tasty food. If you're sometime in Israel for any reason business or pleasure. This is the place you must visit!

I don’t usually post public feedback but this time I had too because we often read reviews and here I feel the hotel received injustice reviews. We arrived to a beautiful lobby, with soft , soothing scents. The staff was extremely professional, pleasant and responsive. We stayed at private pool villa which was clean and simply beautiful. The breakfast was full of all kind of food, fruits, vegetables, breads, desserts super rich. My husband and I will surly visit this hotel again. Highly recommended.

We decided to try the setai hotel in the Galilee. We were there for two nights June 2023. We ordered one night half board and one night a package that included massages. The room we received was beautiful and spacious. One side had a view of the sea and the other side had a view of the mountains. We had a jacuzzi that was hot to touch and asked that they adjust the heat. We had to ask three times until it was taken care of and therefore used the jacuzzi only once. One morning we were woken up buy an alarm of one the rooms nearby at 6 in the morning. There was no apology by management. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told that we couldn’t. Clearly the service in this hotel is not a priority in any way shape or form. There was a long list of service issues that I cannot write them all. The pool was inviting and had a beautiful view, but at the bar two of the workers were yelling at each other. Loved that bicycles were at our disposal and used them a few times a day. Service in the dining room was inconsistent- sometimes good and sometimes awful. We enjoyed our vacation nonetheless but because of the lousy service I doubt we would go back I was very disappointed with the response we received from the hotel- that they promise they will improve the service - there were many reviews previous to ours where the service was rated as "1" - and nothing was done before we came - why should anything change after we were there - so I changed the rating to 3. If they were really serious about changing the service - they would contact the guests directly to hear the problems in detail - when we asked to speak to the manager - we received a negative reply and no one was interested in what we had to say

We stayed at the hotel for three days. The location of the hotel in nature on the banks of the Sea of Galilee is perfect. The atmosphere in the hotel is calm, quiet and addictive :) We booked a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony (some rooms have peivate pools), so we spent a lot of time in the main pool which is pleasant and quiet. We had a few comments regarding service, which received an immediate response and were fully addressed with the help of Abigail, the guest service manager, who was courteous, professional and efficient. Highly recommend the hotel. We were in Israel, but felt like we were abroad for three days ‼️

A total absurd! I booked the most expensive Villa Kineret with a pool which on the website is shown with the beautiful view of the Kineret lake and we were given a room with no view at all only grass and some trees Worse then this is the staff manager attitude trying to convince me that it’s the same Villa I booked and they don’t “sell the view”!!and asking me if I prefer give up the stay(after flying from Brasil and 3 hours car drive from Tel Aviv)never was so agressivly treated in a “5 stars hotel” Not recomended

One of the worst experiences ever. The service was one of the worst any hotel has ever had. My family and I had taken 5 rooms and spent over 30,000 Shekel. we had two extra people (kids) in one room and they had decided to charge another 7,000 Shekel. absolutely ridiculous! and when the MANAGER came to assist the dispute he started screaming and CURSING at my father in front of a whole crowd. This is absolutely unacceptable and should never happen at any hotel. Absolutely horrid people, never going back ever.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite setai of galil, and I can confidently say it was a truly exceptional experience! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's grandeur and elegance. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfect. Their warm greetings and genuine smiles created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel instantly at home. Their attention to detail and impeccable service truly set this hotel apart. The room I stayed in was nothing short of luxurious. It was spacious, tastefully decorated, and meticulously maintained. The comfortable bed with high-quality linens provided a restful night's sleep, while the stunning views from the window left me in awe every morning. The room was equipped with all the modern amenities one could ask for, making my stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable.

The location is brilliant. We took the room with jacuzzi. It worked paritally, it had strange smell which left on clothing afterwards. When we arrived some of the things were missing in the room so we called the service to bring them. Cleanliness in the room in medium. Some things are clean, some are not for example the balcony. Wi-Fi is good, Facilities and service in the pool are very bad. In the hot hot days the is no beer from the burrel in both bars spots. Check-in is around 4 and the open pool closed at 6. Not enough time to enjoy them at the arriving day. Check-out time is at 11. Therefore, you can't enjoy it in the leaving day either. It is not sensible. The food and the srvice in the restaurant is great. In general: food/restaurant and the location get the best rate, the rest of the things are worst rate. The price for value is not acceptable, therefore I am not advicing anyone to visit this place for those prices.

We had an incredible stay at Setai~ the room, the food, the atmosphere. Excellent customer service. Nur in the lounge was incredibly kind and professional, as we were visiting Israel to celebrate our recent marriage and to visit my husbands family. Only thing that needs improvement was the quality of our massage- 2/5 stars. And the gym could use a deep cleaning and a few upgrades.

The Setai Sea of Galilee Hotel and resort is truly a hidden gem. The resort is beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond to help the guest feel welcome. The spa experience was definitely a highlight of the stay. We will definitely be going back next year!

The hotel is gorgeous, the grounds are beautiful, the room is clean and spacious and if you get a room with your own pool, the patio and pool are a perfect place to relax. The staff is excellent and very attentive. The breakfast and dinner buffets are among the best we've had. Would come back and recommend to others. A perfect getaway.

Not surprised by the excellence. Boutique high end environment that’s always found at Setai resorts. Elegance at its best. David greeted us on the way in, Nissim checked us in and followed through as he saw us around the resort, incredible personal touches. Looking forward to returning as soon as we can!

👍👍 We landed there without much thought, just wanted to visit a winery in the area. First impression: wow it looks impressive, there's a feeling of a certain calm present :) The place feels like an oasis in the desert)) I really drink light wines with caution, as I often am disappointed by a watery aft...
