I’d been here on my last visit to Burleigh before the pandemic and had a excellent meal with my daughter , so finally getting a chance to return after 3 years a definite … I wished I hadn’t. I had booked a table again with my daughter who I hadn’t seen since 2019 and mentioned it was my her birthday when booking, no mention, not even a happy birthday (not that it really matters) , not even 2 minutes after sitting down were we rushed into ordering drinks and our food .. I felt like they couldn’t wait to get us out as it was full of young hip 20 somethings and we didn’t fit. The food came and it was bland .. really bland .. i ordered a glass of wine to go with my bland veal, I had finished my meal before the wine arrived… also no pizza btw so be warned. A shame but it is what it is, give it a try and make your own mind up but we won’t be going back in a hurry. 2/10

Not just the best Italian in the Gold Coast but in my opinion, one of the best Italian restaurants period. The hospitality from the beautiful, warm staff is amazing. The food is unbeatable! Focaccia the best I’ve ever tried, the seafood pasta dishes, particularly the crab meat ravioli type dish is just unreal. Duck bolognese, the ragu, the wine, all just fabulous. Recommendations are on point and I couldn’t recommend this place more. We’ll be regulars in no time :)

Very expensive not value for money don’t go here. Got there the place was dead but took them 10mins to come and take are drink order as the staff was talking to each other . The most rude but is when ask was the food great we told the truth and said it was ok . Then the waitress made a comment that we can afford are $100 bill for two glass of wine and a main. Please just don’t go here

Real italian Restaurant! Amazing fresh pasta. Good focaccia with prosciutto that we order for starter. Kind and lovely staff, very friendly the owner that approched to us. Good selections of wine and great aperitivo drinks. Like home. We spent a great night celebrating our birthday! Thanks guys

Thumbs up for Family friendly Italian restaurant. I was happy to have some good pizza and pasta! Especially Tagliatelle black ink lobster is awesome! Meat was good texture and tasty, Loved friendly service, clean toilet with natural decorations

Unfortunately we had a disappointing evening at Pepe. There were a few things that went wrong during our short sitting there. Firstly my drink came with soda instead of tonic but thankfully was quickly replaced. One of our starters didn’t arrive and when we queried it “it was on its way”. After a while our main courses arrived without having had the missing starter! So we had to cancel the starter in order to eat our main meals. The 8hr slow cooked lamb shoulder pasta did NOT have any meat in it as conveyed to the waitress by us. Additionally the people sitting next to us complained of the same. We asked for bread during our main course which didn’t arrive. I have to say that what food we had was very tasty. There was no milk for us to drink a coffee at the end of our meal. We then asked for the dessert menu and before we had chance to order a Tiramisu appeared! Apologies were made over some things but a satisfactory explanation of not having Lamb in the pasta was not able to be given for some reason? Too many things went wrong and so unfortunately we will not be returning to Pepe’s Restuarant.

Very disappointed in the service and food quality we received on the 22nd of April. We were quickly seated and given water however first complaint was the tables were very close together, felt like you were sitting with the party on the seat next to you. After we got our water it took some time for a drinks order to be taken. When we were looking at the mains menu it is different from the menu advertised with the prices being 5-15$ more per meal and with less options. We ordered our mains, the bolognese and the gnocchi, which were quick to arrive, however the gnocchi was very bland. Throughout the meal no staff checked in to ask how it tasted, when they cleared our plates (gnocchi still left and barely eaten) we were not asked how the meal was. We finished our drinks and went to pay where we were asked how the meal was. When I stated it was bland I was given a very uncaring “why,” to which I replied that it had no flavour. The staff member did not apologise or ask if there was anything they could do to amend this. After the experience I had here I will not be returning. Maybe it would be best to train your staff on some customer service and also provide better quality meals.

Had the seafood set menu here - really good modern Italian food with some Asian twist, but you have to love seafood to thoroughly enjoy this IMO. We especially love the appetisers, they’re like an explosion of flavours in your mouth. Excellent service too! Our dog who came with us approved of this restaurant.

Arrived without a booking, the friendly staff happily squeezed us in. Service was great, the food was exceptional- highly recommended.

My ossobuco was divine!! And the gnocchi was the best one we had in our lives so far ❤️ Good atmosphere as well and great staff!! Totally worth it!

The staff is very friendly and cheerful. Our drinks were good and the appetizers are awesome. The risotto and two pastas we ordered were a bit bland. It could use more seasoning and less oil. However, the truffle pizza was packed with flavour and the dough was fluffy. Beside the pizza, the calamari was very good and the sauce they serve with it is delicious.

Great little Italian Deli, delicious homemade pasta covered in a hearty tomato sauce, mince and parmesan + a fantastic espresso ran me about $26. High quality stuff, and a great staff. 5/5 Recommend giving it a try.

Nice interior, friendly stuff. But food was below any standards. Caprese was just waste, pizza is not wooden fire but was good tasteb we, pasta was ok. I think that place definitely has potential, chef just need to make it tasty.
