AWFUL Seriously, if you are reading this and thinking about booking this hostel, don't do it, for your safety. I read the reviews after booking it and they all agreed but I didn't think it was going to be that exaggerated, but yes, it was. 6 friends arrived who had reserved 3 rooms and there was no one, inside the hostel there is like a kind of storage room that looks like diogenes syndrome where there was a woman in a bathrobe with a dog who we asked about check-in and she told us several times “I'm retired, I don't know anything” and it was terrifying (she lives there). We called the hostel number and a voice from beyond the grave answered us, a woman who is hoarse and can't understand much of what she says, and she gave us directions on how to enter the rooms. Okay, well, none of them could be locked from the outside, they were very dirty and you can tell that they don't clean anything, they don't have water, so the bathroom is for decoration because you can't wash yourself or flush the toilet, there are no sheets for that. At least it said so in the description and some did not have a lock inside the room either. When we complained about the conditions to the owner, she told us that we wanted more? that for a night that we wanted most? a roof and a mattress is enough; we were left in shock. After considering that we couldn't stay there, another different woman appeared to give us some keys that locked the rooms. At that moment we felt relief because without keys we couldn't go out and leave our belongings in the room because anyone could come in. Well, when We believed that it was more or less “safe” he tells us that if we do anything we should call the police, that the locks were broken because once a man broke in who didn't want to come out and destroyed all the doors, and THE STRONGEST: there is a group of individuals who have a copy of all the keys because they did not return them and they dedicate themselves to entering and stealing when they get bored. There we said that for our safety we could not stay there because if we left our things and went out they could rob us and while we were sleeping they could also enter. In short: we had to look for a place to stay and it was money wasted because those rooms are not worth 3 dollars and the hostel is a real shack where anything can happen to you. Not to mention that the woman told us to hide the keys in a certain way so that the old woman in the robe wouldn't see them. This has to be illegal and should not be allowed.

Crazy hostel! Bad room, but the position near Alhambra is perfect (150m).

The first thing on this hostel was arrival. There’s no reception and we had to be super noisy to get the woman’s attention. Then the room - there was one window, closed with blinds and lattice and I’m not talking about humidity in the room, that was awful. Last thing was WiFi, booking and other network say, that there’s WiFi, but THERE IS NOT! When we asked the woman told us, that they don’t have WiFi at all, but she could give me a password to the luxury hotel over the street. But unfortunately, the WiFi isn’t that strong. This place? Not anymore.

(Translated by Google) You can sleep in average conditions, the bathroom is clean, there is hot water, but the room was dirty under the bed and there is a lot of humidity. No security, since a man tried to open the door in the middle of the night. PS: the old woman is very smart.

(Translated by Google) Lousy accommodation, dirty, inept staff ... the location ... if you go by bus or BlaBlaCar it is not feasible since it is a very steep climb to go to the alhambra ... I repeat without a car it is not feasible you can go up by bus if you don't mind spending a lot of money on that, but you also have to take into account the night hours for it. There is an old lady in a white nightdress who gives a terrible grimace and also who treats you very badly... nothing is as described on the pages and I will add that I do not understand how this can be called accommodation or how it can pass the relevant controls because it seems impossible to me! they don't answer the phone, no one shows up there until 4:15 in the afternoon... if you arrive after 9:00 p.m. they charge you extra money... if you want to leave your bags they don't do you a favor... they have drink machines from the supermarket DAY! at an excessive price also... they don't even have coffee as they indicate. The door of the pension is broken... it is a very insecure place. I really recommend you pay a little more because going to Azahar is not worth it... I could give thousands of surreal details of my experience there but they don't give me the characters!!

Ok so there is alot of criticism of this place but me and my partner had a different experience. After reading reviews we were a bit worried, however we had a wonderful experience. Carmen (I think that was her name) runs the hostel and she was a lovely lady. She made us gazpacho and coffee and cakes for breakfast. We had a room with a key and lock and we felt safe leaving our belongings for 3 nights. The showers have hot water and the bed is fine. Although you can hear through the walls there was little noise from outside at night. Also it has a cracking sunset. Also for those interested the wifi from the swanky hotel across the road is Alhambra1910. If they have changed it simply walk in and it's in big bold writing on the desk of the reception (no worries). Best value hotel in Granada for sure

Zero security, the bed as if it had no mattress since you noticed the slatted bed base, the bathroom looked like the titanic because the water came out from all sides when you showered. When we arrive around 12 noon, even though we have a reservation, the good lady tells us that until 4:00 p.m. she does not allow us to access the room, which I cannot explain, since she tells us that the day to leave the room is before 11 in the morning... those five hours what do they do?? Well, nothing to walk around Granada with the suitcase... that is... better to sleep with the key turned inside and leave it on The best thing is the access to the Alhambra, which is about a 10-minute walk away, a minibus at the door that takes you down to the center and that you can take for the return, some stairs that also take you down to the center, better to go down than to go up, I tell you. Ideal for backpackers!!

I’m not going to be the one to remove their marker but I thing they are dead. Despite the low price and perfect location there is no answer on the phone or when you knock, and the website redirects to booking. It’s a shame because this either was a good place sometime or could have been a good place. Don’t risk it.

Really nice stay for that low price. As close to Alhambra and with the view to the whole city as expensive hotel next to it. It’s good place for walking around the city. Don’t bother bad opinions. If you are a traveller not a princess and you understand a bit worse conditions for a low price it is nice place to stay on a budget.

(Translated by Google) For the 5 star price, you have to bring your towel, gel and shampoo. It is next to the Alhambra, a little neglected but clean and the truth is that for 12 euros a couple is a gift. the attention a little lazy but it is an elderly lady who attends you very nice the truth. If you want better service and more spacious rooms, the hotel in front is worth 400 a night.

(Translated by Google) I don't understand what else people expect for such amazing prices as those offered by Azahar. The location is unbeatable, the rooms are clean, THERE IS HOT WATER, they have the basic services to stay short and get to rest comfortably after a long day in Granada. I would go back here 10/10.

(Translated by Google) We arrived and there was no one, when we called the number, a person who seemed to alter his voice answered us, later he returned the call with a private number and gave us directions to where a key was and that we could only pay in cash by passing the money underneath From a door, it seemed like a mythical movie scene where you wake up in a wasteland without organs, the room was not so bad, but clearly they are not ways to host anyone. Apart from being at street level and with very little sense of security.

For such a price, I don’t expect the Sheraton standard. For my purpose which is to visit la Alhambra, the hostel is very well located, as well as to downtown. It’s just tricky as you have to call the number for the key. Ideal If you are looking for where to spend the night after a long day, for cheap option, the only thing bring your personal towel, shampoo… I gave one minus for no toilet paper, if the owner read this, pls put some paper.

(Translated by Google) It is a hostel for unscrupulous people, and the bad vibes that the lady transmits is not normal, think about it before taking a night.

(Translated by Google) Nobody stays here, not because of the shabby rooms, but not because of the bad vibes of the hostel itself, if you arrive after 9 there is no one, so you have to call for them to come, in the end they decide not to come and they tell you where there is a key, after that they ask you to leave the money in an envelope and pass it through a door, the rooms are the worst but the feeling that an organ is going to be stolen is unbeatable (Original) Que nadie se quede aquí, ya no por lo cutre de las habitaciones, sí no por el mal rollo del hostal en sí, sí llegas después de las 9 no hay nadie, así que tienes que llamar para que vengan, al final deciden no venir y te diven dónde hay una llave, tras eso se piden que les dejes el dinero en un sobre y lo pases por una puerta, las habitaciones son de lo peor pero la sensación de que te van a robar un organo es inmejorable
