The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed (There was dog food along the walls and a plastic piece). We had a handicap room and the door to the bathroom got in the way of the outside door if both were open at the same time. Older fixtures and the toilet got stopped up.

These wonderful folks had my previous review deleted, my response to them claiming its against the law to rent a room to individuals below the age of 21. They turned me away because of being under 21 years of age, despite driving 700 miles that day piloting an oversize load (I have owned my pilot car business since 19). I definitely did not appreciate being treated that way after a long day. The owner replied to my review stating that it is against the law in Nebraska, which I know is false. I have stayed several other places in Nebraska without issue. At the very least, don't lie about the law.

Check in and out way so fast and easy! The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. We had a great stay and were very close to many shopping and dining choices.

I don’t write reviews, but this one is clearly calling my name. First off, our $150+ room could’ve used a vacuum, maybe an air freshener. The hallway reeked of stale cigarettes and the room wasn’t too far off. The chair in the corner was riddled with stains, possibly of the snot or saliva variety. The bed sheets had stains crusted on but didn’t look close enough to investigate their origins. I could indulge and go on, but I’d rather get to the important stuff: I left my jacket in the closet (the least disgusting part of the room) and it is mysteriously not there anymore. People leave things behind all the time, and most hotels are gracious enough to mail it back for the postage. I don’t know where this jacket is now, but it wasn’t found by the cleaners (who’ve been out of jobs since this hotel’s existence) nor is it in the lost and found (up for grabs) box. Both my partner and I spoke with management to no avail. Thanks for the help, by the way. Look, it’s not even a nice jean jacket. It was $15 at a thrift shop and I hope whoever has it now is happy with how it fits them. But if I had to take a guess, it’s still hanging in the closet of room 232 because no one bothered to wipe the joint down yet.

The conditions of the room I stayed in were absolutely abysmal. The floor had not been vacuumed and there were stains on everything. The only reason I stayed because my only other option was to sleep in my car. I would never spend money here gain

I think the the the price was way to high for the quality of the room for a number of reasons. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, the plaster on wall between the bed and the bathroom looks like it is about ready to fall off & the shower head couldn't be adjusted to different settings. On the plus side, I was impressed with the quality of the bed, it was very comfortable and I was able to get to sleep right away and didn't toss and turn trying to find a comfortable spot to sleep in. Now for the breakfast. I tried the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so hard I broke the fork trying to cut it and it tasted like cardboard. The gravy was worse, it like it was made with stale powdered milk and freezer burnt sausage. The coffee was nearly like warm. On the plus side, the cereal was good.

I’m a long distance truck driver with my terminal based in Nebraska. I live in a different state so when my truck is due for preventative maintenance, I stay here with my doggy. There are plenty of grassy areas to walk your pet. The price is reasonable, it’s usually pretty clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The towels are the softest ever! The location is convenient to stores and I even found a wonderful vet around the corner. I spoke to the (owner?) after I checked in reference a couple of minor issues and he was responsive and understanding.

They have the best shower at any hotel I've stayed at in many years. Rooms are clean and good for our dogs who traveled with us too.

I was a little wary because of a few critical reviews. However the price was right for one night travelling through. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the front desk person was and how quickly we were checked in. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. I was pleased with everything during my stay.

You get what you pay for. Room was updated but the couch was full of stains. I wouldn't even set my clothes on it. Breakfast was ok. There was something big going on and all the other motels were full.

Before the owners reply and say they're saddened by our review, and suggest solutions, here's how it really played out. When we first checked in, I laid down for a nap, and was awoken by an insect crawling on me. Since I was now awake, I took inventory of the room...there were more issues: found another insect on the bed, yellow stains on the bed sheets, torn curtains, stained carpet, and a chair that was so disgusting we wouldn't even think about sitting in it. (not sure if the insects on the bed were bed bugs, as we don't know what bed bugs look like). We went to the front desk with our complaints. The front desk clerk was very rude, had a grin on their face while I was trying to explain the issues with the room. They offered another room, but no thank you, the hotel was disgusting. The clerk said they could not check us out or offer a refund. We asked to speak with the manager, but they said the manager was not available and the desk clerk could call the manager in the morning. We left immediately to go to another companies hotel. The owners can write as many paragraphs as they need to about what a solution would be, but actions speak louder than words. We're contesting the charges.

Don’t trust all reviews. I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. There is a musty smell in the room but it wears off quickly. The room was clean and the mattresses are quite comfortable. There is no elevator but when I asked for a bottom floor due to a knee issue they happily made the change. I’d stay here again.

The room was pretty clean although we did find one dead beetle. Bed was very comfy. Overall it was a good place to stay for a night. Continental breakfast was nice.

The room was nice for only me and my husband since there wasn't that much space. The A.C. worked really good since it was a small space, didn't take that long to cool down!! The only 4 things is wasn't to fond about was the toilet sat to low, the bathtub was small, there was a nasty foul odor coming from the mini fridge but the worst part of the room was the............BED!!!! It was as hard as a rock for me, my husband liked it. We started two nights, my husband got good sleep but I in those two days, I was a zombie 🧟‍♀️. All I wanted was sleep but couldn't because of how hard the bed was!!! The only good thing about the bed was it had a mattress cover on it...

Key cards stopped working through out our short stay. I had mine reprogrammed and it only worked once, then both keys stopped working at the same time. Train goes every 2 hours during the night, had I known this I would never have stayed, I'm a light sleeper. Towels are like using sandpaper, mattress covers had holes in them. The dust ruffles were stained as was all the carpet throughout the hotel. If this hotel is going through a remodel as they state in responses to other reviews, I have no idea where they are doing this as I saw nothing in progress. The price was outrageous for the quality of what we received. I know we stayed during a high tier time, I use to work in the hospitality industry, I know how it works. But that doesn't mean I have to pay those prices for a gross hotel. I had lots of other choices for hotels, I wish I would have chosen one of those. If I ever need to stay in Grand Island again, I will certainly research the hotel I choose and will never stay at this one again.

This hotel was a great price and the staff was super friendly. BUT the room was absolutely terrible. Room 136. The sink and shower clogged immediately after turning on the water. Nasty black stuff all in the toilet and was dirty. Our bedsheets were dirty and had CHUNKS of food in them. The cleaning staff clearly were lazy and didn’t wanna take the time to change the sheets. They were oily and had literal chunks of food. Not small, but very large, under the sheets. And to top it off, the guy working at the front gave someone else a key to our room and we were approached by strangers walking into our room in the middle of the night. Like how…? Super scary and didn’t feel safe. The only good thing was the air. Was quiet and nice. But was not impressed with anything else. Days Inn, re-evaluate. Would NOT recommend, even for the price. I am usually not picky but this was absolutely atrocious.

First time traveling with a dog. The dog room was bleak, cable didn't work. Shower head was gross.. is this what pet owners have to deal with?

Mold everywhere. Anywhere not easily accessible had crumbs and debris. Mold on pillows, towels, walls, etc We had a 5 night reservation and at 10am after the first night we went to cancel due to all the mold ( had checked in late night before) and they said they can’t cancel- it had to be Expedia. We contact Expedia and they say they can’t cancel- it has to be the hotel. Finally we get Expedia to contact the hotel and the hotel cancels but charges us for the 2nd night due to “cancellation policy”. To my knowledge I didn’t sign up for a moldy room so I’m not sure how they justify that. I talked with manager who says he was the owner as well and he “couldn’t do anything about it”. I won’t be going to Days Inn or Wyndham owned places anymore!

It was a decent stay. You get what you pay for honestly. There is no elevator so I'm confused how that's even legal but the breakfast has all the bare minimums. (Watery eggs, sausage gravy, dry biscuits, bread for toast, a small 4 waffle maker, 2 cereals, always had Bananas the entire week we stayed that was the only fruit) Nothing changed in variety ever. It's pet friendly so the rooms do have plenty of scratches and patched spots. The A/c smells old STILL after claiming they've recently cleaned it but all we did was sleep there, so it did its job. Yes its VERY loud. We did however end up getting quite a few bites on our bodies after the cleaning team came in. We only got our room cleaned ONCE because I read previous reviews and we didn't have any issues with bites, so I figured why mess with our experience. NOPE on our way home which was over 18 hours we were itching up a storm, we keep finding more now. With all the issues this hotel should stop accepting pets cuz someone keeps bringing their animals in with fleas or something there are SO many issues. So sadly.... we got bit too otherwise I wouldve left a 4 star. Od recommend for a night or 2 but anymore than that I'd probably recommend somewhere else

A great value for the cost of the room. The room was lovely. It appears to have been fairly freshly remodeled. Everything was clean and tidy. They had a *hot* breakfast buffet in the morning.
