IMO this is a hidden gem in the city of Guelph. It's nice and easy hiking trail with lots of tall trees and a small stream for relaxation sounds. Google @kylelgv20 Natural sounds video for relaxation water flowing at Kortright Woods Trail or Kortright Woods Trail video 1 Preservation Park in 4K or scan my QR code to watch videos.

BIPOC SAFE and super welcome. Love the area and it's nice to jjst escape into the forest! The nature is beautiful. I am disappointed at the few beer cans we found and picked up - stop littering in our beautiful nature spaces. It's shady, great for walk or bike.

A good place for walking , cycling. It has a good share of boardwalks . You need to follow the main trails ,parking is not at the park but you can find a plaza nearby to park and walk from there or there is a dog park where parking can be done , both with different entrances.

I just loved walking on the trail at Preservation Park in Guelph, Ontario. The day I went was a hot and sunny day. I went from one end of the trail to the other and back again. That day was so quiet and calm. As I continued to walk I came practically face to face with a beautiful doe. We both just stood there very still looking ar one another. I slowly reached for my camera that was around my neck and preceded to take a few pictures. The doe just stood there letting me take her picture. When I was done she just took off into the forest. It was such a wonder and magical moment. As I continued on my walk I came across a Heron. It is rare that I just happen to stumble upon these kind of animals. It was a really an amazing nature walk! I also saw a few smaller creatures...One of them was a Red Squirrel and the other a Downey Woodpecker. Man has taken so much forest land that these beautiful creatures don`t know where to go...so it was so good to see these wonderful animals in this preservation park.

A great nature trail through a forest. The colors of fall make it look just magical. A great trail to walk, bike or take your dog on a run. Really peaceful and tranquil.

This is such an amazing nature trail. I’ve been hiking here with my kids in carriers since they were babies. We usually park across the road at the park/splash pad and cross at the pedestrian light. There are so many branches in this trail that you could have a totally different hiking experience every time you come. We often do the full loop through the forest and out to the off leash area by the Hanlon. It’s a nice mix of forest and open air walking. I consider this an all season trail, but definitely wear hiking cleats during the winter. Happy hiking! (Added photos of some cool fungus I spotted here).

Nice and peaceful Park overall. But there’s small snake 🐍on the paths. color green or brown. Those are probably not aggressive, but scary. Be careful when walk there.

Got even better after trail improvements with wood chips and gravel between Terraview Cres street and Kortright Zehrs. Now this trail is accessible to strollers and less muddy after a rainfall. The City of Guelph should do a better job maintaining community trails by providing at least raw materials like wood chips and gravel for small fixes to be done by community that is paying hefty property taxes

I'm giving this 3 stars only cause it was confusing to walk around on the trails. Better signage is needed. If I didn't have my phone with me, would easily have gotten lost. Other than that, nice trails and wooded areas!

Loved the walk especially in the dog walking are for a patting fix. After the wide track walking thru the forests and board works was amazing

Have been walking this park for 24 years now. Still love meandering through the trails, seeing the deer, the wide variety of birds and other creatures that share this beautiful space with us.

Absolutely spectacular nature park, walked for about an hour and a half, lots of shade, trail is fairly flat with boardwalks in many places .. but whoa so many mosquitoes.

Preservation Park is my sanctuary. There are so many different ways to explore this park, but beware getting lost is very possible. There are not the greatest markers throughout the entire park. Only a few paths are marked clearly. Still, I love that you are in the middle-of-the-road the city, and for a brief time, you can feel like you're way up north and not a car can be heard.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This was my first time experiencing this park! I was amazed of the safety and cleanliness of it. It's geared towards all ages! With basket ball and tennis courts, fields to run in, disability swings! Even a place to look for a dinosaur fossil!
